Mt Smart stadium and LAB rocked it!
My first Mt Smart experience was 1989.. Pink Floyd on their one and only New Zealand gig, kicked off their worldwide Pulse tour here at Mt Smart stadium.. I will never forget that concert.. a once in a lifetime experience!

Definitely check out some early Kora, it's hard to comprehend now but that concert was when the whole planet was locked down with covid and New Zealand eliminated it and was covid free, covid divides people pretty quick but that period of time we were one country on top of the world and free. Having concerts was just amazing. The world seems pretty bitter and divided now post covid, I just crank up some Kora, L.A.B and katchafire to drown out the noise 🤙

I've heard this song heaps and never noticed how amazing that young lady on the sax is. Wow she's like an old spirit from some old school American blues legend. She got skills out the gate WOW

Jesse! You're in my country! Love to see you here one day! Come to Taranaki, you can surf some of the best breaks in the country in the morning then climb Mt Taranaki in the afternoon! We have good band pubs here, and a beautiful outdoor venue called Bowl of Brooklands. Santana was my most favourite show of all there.. LAB were pretty dam good as well!

Joel was asked once, who would u most like 2 collab with, he replied, The Doobie Brothers, everyone in the band, nodded & agreed, i think they had discussed this sometime, just in case, they ever got asked 🤔.

This is a classic review, I enjoyed watching this with you. You are awesome,
So proud of LAB and there is a video of last year's Festival with Joel, and I think his brother nephew who do the best performances on the guitars, a must watch.
If you ever get a chance to watch Fat Freddy Drop, Black bird iive in London, Epic.
Another NZ band, much loved. great collaboration with their band members, their genre SKa/Reggae
