Well i survived my heart procedure & from being nearly dead i learned how to be alive again & i'm just back in time to see the awesome Redfield upload an awesome BAND-MAID song. Imagine my surprise to hear that the Maids actually wrote "Bestie" about me. Aw bless 'em.😏

I love MISA's playing. Her bass tone is setting a new standard... and Akane's drumming is so distinguishable... and Kanami's solo... ahhhh! The recording and mix is good, too! Miku's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Saiki her bestie? But Saiki masterfully delivers her lyrics, as always. BTW - The volume of lyrics and nuanced melodies she's committed to memory over the years is simply mind-blowing!
Mikey-san did good at giving them his direction for the song, and probably helped with the English lyrics -- a good growth for Miku's craft. I don't understand why Kanami said she couldn't have come up with the main riff. Probably just her being super polite, as usual.
I like the groove and feel of the song. I was waiting for, "I don't give a f**k" at the end. But maybe with these particular "Bestie" lyrics, that wouldn't be such a good idea. Even though at first listen it felt on par with Start Over, it will undoubtedly do what every Band-Maid song does -- grow on you! Got to break through to the mainstream market with a few cuts, right? Hopefully Bestie helps with that! Thanks, Band-Maid! And thx, Redfeld!
Band-Maid are very sweet and nice that I bet they went with the original version of the song rather than more rocky Maid version. I still in enjoyed the song though, nothing bad about it. :)

Hello Miss Redfield! I hope everything is great with you. This song was a collaboration with Mike Einziger of Incubus, and Miku wrote all of the lyrics in English for this one. Evidently the collaboration went well, because during the announcement of the release, Kanami blurted out "We love Mikey-chan!" Please take care and have an awesome week!

Hey Red!!! This one reminds me of the late 80's early 90's pop-punk/grunge period. It seriously reminds me of Letters to Chloe. Having that type of vibe going. I just wish they had added another verse and maybe 15-30 seconds of either a bass solo or a guitar solo.
Hopefully, when they play this live they have an alternate version that is extended. Just when I'm really getting into the groove it ends. I would like to hear more of this style, but I still want them to keep on with their hard rockin roots.
And check out Ohrenje's Lyric video of this. This makes the 3rd song by the Ladies that is all in english, and the first that Miku wrote all the lyrics in english as well.

Im pretty sure they will extend it. At least the solo piece, maybe not a chorus. I really enjoyed the latter half of the song once I got used to song and sound. I will try to be back to psoting, I have a Dreamcatcher video lined up and a DC video from Nov that I didnt upload. But other than that, I'll start recording on Sat instead of Sunday because I noticed, recording the day before work stresses me out haha. :)
