I've watched about 15 or so reviews of this song,and,I must admit,each time makes me love it more. I wonder if it fore tells what the new album will sound like?
I love it but think it's a one off Kanami has said the new album is heavy and she just posted a tweet about feeling sorry for Akane cause she wrote a crazy drumming song😂
Remember when you first heard Band Maid Different? You weren't sure about them and you thought they were too Poppy. Even though I know they've done a couple of songs in English this is the first one I can sing along to the whole one. Now that they have a music video out for this and you know the song you need to react to the video it's visually different. With you hanging in there with Band Maid you definitely deserve a sub.
I love MISA's playing. Her bass tone is setting a new standard... and Akane's drumming is so distinguishable... and Kanami's solo... ahhhh! The recording and mix is good, too! Miku's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Saiki her bestie? But Saiki masterfully delivers her lyrics, as always. BTW - The volume of lyrics and nuanced melodies she's committed to memory over the years is simply mind-blowing! Mikey did good at giving them his direction for the song, and probably helped with the English lyrics -- a good growth for Miku's craft. I don't understand why Kanami said she couldn't have come up with the main riff. Probably just her being super polite, as usual. I like the groove and feel of the song. I was waiting for, "I don't give a f**k" at the end. But maybe with these particular "Bestie" lyrics, that wouldn't be such a good idea. Even though at first listen it felt on par with Start Over It will undoubtedly do what every Band-Maid song does -- grow on you! Got to break through to the mainstream market with a few cuts, right? Hopefully Bestie helps with that! Thx, Band-Maid! And thanks, Wanderer!
Aaahhh... that explains why Band-Maid are supporting Incubus at at least one show in Japan (based on what I've heard). Good solo and nice bass work. Not my favorite B-M song I must admit though. Like you, I'm not blown away by it, but let's see what the next singles sound like.

It isn't my favorite B-M song either. It has the basics right, but..
