There is an interesting story behind "Black Hole". According to Akane, Kanami asked her how fast she could drum. Akane said around 190 bpm. Then Kanami went off and wrote "Black Hole" that peaks at 220 bpm! So Akane goes and writes the drum patterns for the track. She wrote 7, for the band to choose which one. She labelled them: 1. Easy 2. Comfortable 3. Normal 4. Possible if I work hard 5. Tough 6. Painfull 7. Hell Akane said "Of course, the band chose Hell"!
Miku can sing with a gravelly voice when she wants to. In fact she actually ate some gravel before this performance. Fortuitously, pigeons from 810 years ago had gizzards so eating gravel is absolutely consistent with her dietary needs.
This video will always be in my top three list. But then again, there are at least a dozen songs in my top three list.😁 Here's one of them. "The Dragon Cries". A different side to the maids. It shows their social and humanitarian consciousness. A tribute to all the bands that have been singing about the same issues since the 60's. The whole song is sung in English.
Manners- Classic Blue/Rock groove. All about the tones- That Snare and Bass. Black Hole- About as different as you can get- all in one band, both with Saiki's fantastic vocals, ably assisted by Miku.
“Manners” always brings me back to the 90’s and En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind” Such a groovy jam Edit: If this comparison doesn’t make sense to you, please play the chorus in “Free Your Mind” and the one in “Manners” 😉
Now go back and watch the official music video for "Manners" .....a visual Masterpiece and will explain the song much better than watching the live version first. I suggest watching any Band-Maid official music version first before any live video of the same title...... NEVER underestimate the music videos, regardless of what the "LIVE ONLY" heads say. IMHO Saiki's eye's while singing Black Hole....like her ass is on fire....Lol! Miku's performance during this semi-live show was brilliant, she was so spot on.

And if someone couldn't keep up when they practiced the song they had to drop out. Tho never proven in court rumours were it was Saiki's idea.😂
Lmao
I hadn’t heard this. Awesome. ❤❤❤❤

Manners has such a cool southrrn groove, and Black Hole is just wonderful chaos!🤘
Band-Maid🔥🔥
This shows the great range of abilities from these amazing ladies! Both great songs, but so different!
Check out Miku’s vocals in Sayonakidori. Or her side project as cluppo, PEACE&LOVE.

Manners is more mid to late 70’s like Led Zeppelin boc triumph etc
Not in a million years would have I ever thought of "Free Your Mind" and "Manners" as musical ties. But it works.
Alright, I think you understand the Maids now. Subbed. Keep'em coming! 😎🤘
Heck yeah! Thank you so much

"Saiki's eyes"... Yep, I always think of that scene with Willem Dafoe in _The Life Aquatic_: "Saiki vee tink you got da Crazy Eye!"
if you like miku's yell try out why why why same concert
This shows the dichotomy BAND-MAID exudes in their music. I think they could play country if the mood hits them. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Peace. 240
I REALLY want to hear that!
"PAGE" is close it's just missing a twang🤠
@@kakqu haha. Somehow I don't think the twang will ever make an appearance. But then again I don't put anything past the Maids. 😎
Kanami playing slide would make my year.
@@jkkansasband7056 Now I won't be surprised by the hip-hop-bluegrass track on their next album 😊
Thanks bro..👌
Welcome 👍
