  • Warming up is really important when you begin your martial arts training sessions, this will allow you to train safely with more intensity, prevent injuries, as well fine-tune the basic movements you will need during your practice session.
    First part of the warm-up is a general full-body warm-up that can also be used for other sports or fitness training, then we added a couple range-specific movements for striking, grappling and wrestling.
    Simply follow along the warm-up instructions, or watch and take mental notes for later! Enjoy!

    Just my thoughts! I I think you should mobilise the joints before you start your warm up, as you will be using all your joints in the more dynamic part of your warm up, eg: running jumping skipping! Also

    I was just wondering should i just follow every second in your video and thats my 11 min warm up and is it enough or should i chose the moves and put specific time for each move and do them
    .. actually my problem is the specific time for each move .. I’d better just follow every second of the video
    What do u think?

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, Saku. You’re overthinking it though. I would recommend to do the whole thing by following along a few times, and then the goals is for you to build your own routine which can evolve, and you can adapt depending on the day, how you’re feeling, and what you have planned for your workout. A good warmup is a quite personal thing, and it’s all about feeling good so you can be ready to train. Hope this helps!

    Don't do squats in the early part of your warm up, as it is strenuous for your joints, especially your knees! It's, best to keep your feet flat when squatting, don't squat on the balls of your feet! Thanks for your videos keep up the good work 🙏

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Jah Love. Indeed, when squatting heavy it's best to plant your heels, but it's also very useful and not dangerous (if done with good alignment) to squat and jump on the balls of the feet for more athleticism. Hope this helps. - Patrick

    Hello....
    Plz tell me how can i strong my wrist , fist and hand....

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Anil, thanks for your request, will publish a video in the future about this. Essentially, you want to be doing forearm conditioning, plank or push-ups on the knuckles, as well as bare-hand punching bag, but it's important to go progressively so you stay safe and don't rip the skin on the knuckles or sprain your wrist. Hope this helps.
