Better than 95% of other videos out there👍👍. I searched many but this one is much easier to understand

By far the best video of the dozen-plus I viewed on the subject for using a 2-piece ratchet strap set with hooks. The tightening phase came easy to me, but the release process was poorly explained/shown elsewhere.

Thank you! Where would we be without people on TH-cam taking the trouble to show us how to do stuff? Appreciated.

Thank you so much. My Hilka straps came with NO instructions. I wasted 30 minutes trying to figure out before finding this helpful clip.

No mate you don’t pull the loose end back through the closed ratchet because when you do that it creates that much friction and tension that it takes 20 minutes just to undo 1 strap, you leave the loose end on the other side of the ratchet while tightening down that way when you go to undo it, it will un spool quickly and easily, the amount of jammed up ratchets i have had to get un done due to this method it mind blowing.

Your ratchet is threaded wrong, next time you purchase a new one study the instruction card. Your practice of threading through the closed ratchet causes binding when releasing the ratchet under load, ones hand can become trapped between the loaded strap and the handle resulting in a nasty injury. It is also slow and difficult to split the strap and ratchet when you are packing up. One of the reasons guys who thread like you leave the unthreaded straps and ratchets all bound up in a dogs breakfast all over the deck.

Wrong technique. "Back" turn is one so bad move who will create problems when we want to release system

You do not pull all the slack through. You need to leave enough so that you get 2-3 wraps of the strap on the ratchet to properly tension it, so it doesn’t come loose.
