@@christophervickers9685 Problem will be to pick some one , some place to do it. How do we know they will do all they say they will? wow!! never thought took so much work to apply coating - now I know why it cost so much for it. think I'll just stick with low end car and let the rocks fly where they may!! lol
I am getting a 2020 corvette this month and i was thinking about doing this myself. after this video. nope.lol Lots of work. Looks like a good idea to have someone do it right. great video. Best i have seen on this subject.
Congrats on the new Vette! The C8’s are badass. Even new cars can need some paint correction from factory so factor that in as well. Thanks the support Adam!
The correction step it becomes a little bit harder if you use a quick detailer as lubricant, they are carnauba based so it lets a little protection, you need to use shampoo or clay lube and then rinse
Tom let me start by saying a huge thank you for making this video so easy to comprehend, explaining step by step the whole procedure. I will definitely use this knowledge on my wife's car which is a white Mitsubishi Lancer from the 1999 but it's color is exhausted. We live in Cyprus, the sunlight, the heat and the constant drop of dirt by the wind are a pain in the bottom for any car here and any paint job. Thanks to your excellent tutorial I will give some nice protection to the color. You're awesome !!!!

Finally someone who polishes the way I always learned to.. Also I'm glad you filmed the use of the IronX bottle. I use it as well but I keep getting the wrong spray top which doesn't give me a fine mist. Going to look into a different cap for my bottles.. So weird.
Hi, loved the video. Ive just started my detailing journey. So many products to choose from. Do you have to do it all in one day? Would imagine all the hard work would be ruined if the was dust in the wind overnight.
That’s great to hear! Definitely a lot of products but don’t get carried away and think you need all or the greatest products to do a great detail 👍. Coating the car id recommend doing the same day but paint correction you can do a little at a time as long as the car isn’t being used.
Wow!!! I thought the ceramic coating price was kind of insane at my local detailing place but after seeing the work I guess it is justified. Makes me wonder if I can DIY lol thx for the great informative video
Yea a lot of factors determine pricing for a coating. Mainly the coating used and how much paint correction needs to be done. Glad I can shed some light on the issue. Thanks for the comment and good luck if you choose to DIY!
first very nice work you can see that its professional and effective i have just a question do you use also for glass or just the paint in the car if so what can you use for the glass and plz can you make a video of protecting the glass , thank you
Nice job. I got exhausted watching you. A good wash and clay bar, finished with a nice wax works for me. Thanks for your time and info. What does a detail shop charge for something like this? Has to be several hundred $$$.... And I bet they won't do everything you did. Impressive!
Awesome video! You got a sub, by far the best beginner friendly video I found. Question. How often do you need to fully detail and what’s needed for the in between maintenance? Thanks
Thank you and welcome to the channel. A ceramic coating will last a few years if maintained properly. I do a maintenance detail every 2 weeks. I have a video showing my process on an SQ5.
Very clear and concise..Can you do more than one ceramic job per bottle??? I was recently viewing a detailing site and saw how expensive a bottle was... thanks for the video...subscribed
Thank you and welcome to the channel. It depends if you are going to layer the coating. If it’s 2 small cars and you aren’t doing too much layering than yes it can last more than 1 car.
Hello Tom, Hope you are doing good. This video is really motivating for a car loving person. My question for you is How long a ceramic coating last on the car paint surface with its glossy and shiny look in term of days, weeks, months or years?? Looking forward for your answer. Regards
Hey, so it all depends on how well you maintain it. If you are washing it properly with a ph balanced soap and using a ceramic topper it can last for years. The car will of course still get dirty but after washing it will have the shine and gloss again.
Great video. Really learned a lot... Quick question regarding ceramic coating, after applying the ceramic, how long do you you leave it on before wiping it of with the microfiber cloth??? TIA
Thank you! So how long it takes for the coating to "flash" depends on temperature and humidity and also the specific coating being used. But it usually is a 1-3 min.

Hi, excellent video and very detailed 😊 one of the best videos I've seen on it. BTW is it possible to do the full job over a course of a few days, ie compound a panel or two a day and also same with polishing and maybe wash it again the following day before starting the next panel or does it have to all be done in one go?
TheGmiah Thank you and that’s a really good question. I’ve actually never done that before but it’s probably best to complete it all same time so you have consistent correction throughout. However if you aren’t going to drive the car and it’s going to stay in a garage I don’t see why not. Maybe just use an IPA to re prep the panels.
Great video. Shame that the sound cuts out between 18:40 and 20:00 as I really wanted to hear those instructions about how to apply the Armour 9. Car looks amazing though mate, I'll give all of this a go eventually
Hirak Mohan Ray Thanks! So lots of factors come into play such as how you wash after it’s coated, how many layers of coating applied and which coating you are using. However with proper washing and maintenance this coating should last 1-2 years.
