I think the last debate I had with a friend over these movies we kind of agreed they are not "good" movies specially if you are a long time Transformers fan however they are 100% "beautiful" movies from a design and technical point of view
Yes. And just like Nachos, I’d rather eat a real meal or any other chip as a snack. But with a little booze and cheesiness, it hits the spot sometimes like nothing else
1:16:02 Optimus didn’t let half Chicago get destroyed to make a point. The Decepticons attacked the city almost inmediatlly after the Autobots were "killed", do you know how long it takes to get to Chicago (on road) from where their ship was launch? It was pretty much impossible for the Autobots to get there any faster than they did, especially if they were trying to go undetected. Not to mention the fact that Optimus had no idea of when or where the Decepticons were going to attack, and were the humans who forced the Autobots to leave the planet. If Optimus had actually went on with that plan, the Autobots would had all died, and humanity would have been totally fucked
I know most audience and critics like to say these are "turn your brain off" movies but there's just certain moments where it's not hard to piece some things together
I don't blame them for getting the wrong idea, since the line Optimus gave uses the Pronoun Game and thus makes it easy to misinterpret the intent. "Your leaders will now understand. Decepticons will never leave your planet alone. And we needed them to believe we had gone." The line is supposed to be referencing the idea that they needed to trick the DECEPTICONS, since they hid in the booster rocket and landed in the Atlantic, meaning they spent that entire time just getting back to shore and driving to Chicago. But because of the awkward phrasing of just saying "them" when the prior two sentences were about the "leaders" needing to understand, it unintentionally makes it look like Optimus is saying the LEADERS needed to think they were dead, and that they let Chicago get wrecked to teach them a lesson.
@@chainsofenkidu2057Idk, man. Even when I was little seeing this movie I understood everything Prime was saying and the timing of events matching up with the arrival of the Autobots combined with Sam and the crew. But then again different people see and take things differently so while it's understandable it's still just a little bit disappointing
53:45 that's the line Peter cullen was forced to say, since he refused to do so initially because "that's not optimus " in his own words. Peter much prefers for optimus to be softer mainly because that's what his bother (larry cullen, a vietnam veteran) told him makes a good leader. "None of that action hero bullshit, be strong enough to be gentle" that's the main inspiration for Cullen's performance, words from his brother.
Fun fact: this film was meant to have a different ending: Optimus and Megatron would team up to kill Sentinel and he dies from his own rust cannon used to kill Ironhide. Then Optimus and Megatron would then make amends, kinda, and Megatron would leave, alive. The ending was changed because the studio didn't want the film to have the same ending as the book, which had preview pages leaked not long before the film was released. Please correct me if I got anything wrong
@complex2live Sentinel or Megatron? Either way, I can kind of buy that, but it's still weird and the whole framing sure didn't seem like that, especially with Sentinel begging for optimus to stop, and it kind of feels like he attacked megatron out of nowhere. If you wanna see it as a mercy kill sure, but I definitely don't see it that way.
@justcoolerthenyou8926 kind of both. When I saw Optimus kill Megatron, I thought it made sense because throughout the past 2 films he has shown that he will fight Megatron but wants him to stop and we see the destruction he caused. And we also see how Megatron is great at tricking and betraying people, and Optimus knows that. Heck I think that was how he temporarily died in the 2nd one. So in this case, I would assume he killed him because he didn't know if Megatron was being honest to Optimus at the end
Carly is straight up supposed to be Mikayla. Megan Fox was fired after the script was fully written, so they basically just crossed out Mikayla's name in it and put Carly instead, and cast a Victoria's Secret model.
1:13:47 The big issue with Carly is that she WAS written to be Mikaela. Megan Fox was fired well after the script was written and they were pretty close to shooting so they quickly added in a backstory for Carly but she is essentially Mikaela, from her dialogue down to her job in cars, she is Mikaela. And I think the shit talking line coming from Mikaela (someone who has been there from the beginning and has dealt with Megatron twice) makes so much more sense. Really wish things went differently and we had Mikaela for all three movies.
I love Sam's unhinged momments in these movies. Humans should have never trusted the decepticons because it never ends well for them when they do. I find it hillarious that the teenager who save the world twice doesnt have some security clearance when it comes to the Transformers.
44:50 this scene is a reference to the original cartoon from the 80s. Instead of blasting the Lincoln memorial, he just yeets Lincoln's statue and sits in the chair like that. The plot of this whole movie was actually inspired by a few Gen 1 cartoon episodes. It was well done. I don't care what anyone says
Very true, and this is the 3rd time Megatron sat on the memorial too; 2nd time being in the 2007 TF1 Game. And teleporting Cybertron to Earth and using humans as workers story is directly from G1 Season 1 "Ultimate Doom".
@Commander_Shepard. THAT'S the one. I couldn't remember what the name of the episodes were. I used to play the 2007 game nonstop. I'd love to see the guys play the three movie tie-in games
Most of the plots past the first movie were ripped or borrowed from cartoon episodes, they took plots from Tf prime too ( and did it horribly by comparison)
I like how you can tell they did the bare minimum to change the script after Megan Fox left. Cause Sam’s new GF just happens to be into cars and acts the same as Fox’s character would’ve lol
Yup, though, the trilogy would’ve benefited from having Megan fox in the role. They swap in a weak ass motivation for the new GF to be mad at Sam (her brother died in war or smth), where as Megan Fox would’ve had the argument that SHE LITERALLY SAW SAM DIE the last movie, and does not want him to go back into the fight. But other than that they really are just interchangeable since Megan fox wasn’t super integral to the plot to begin with.
Imagine lads that Rosie Huntington-Whitely's character is Megan Fox's character. She's working for an automobile company, which tracks considering her background. She has constantly been the more capable one of the two (her & sam) and is arguably the secret protagonist of the first movie, if not the trilogy. Then the scene where she convinces Megatron (whilst still could have been better with a bit more build) to betray Sentinel hits a lot better. That role was absolutely written for Megan's character before she and Bay had their falling out.
You guys can enjoy whatever movies you want, and there are things to enjoy about these Transformers movies, especially the first one and this one. But when fans say they don’t like these movies and wish they were written better, they aren’t asking for something like Scorsese would make, literally all they wanted was something like Transformers One. After all this time they finally got that.
Transformers One is what happens when people realize that all the animated stuff from this franchise is prime material for a movie. And then they make it into one of the best animated features of the year.
No matter what continuity Sentinel Prime is the *BIGGEST PIECE OF SCRAP ON CYBERTRON!🤬* The moment that Sentinel killed Ironhide was such a shocking betrayal because Ironhide was the GOAT and didnt deserve to go out like that. Whats even more insane is that comparing Sentinel Prime in Dark of the Moon to the Sentinel Prime from Transformers One, who is far more evil and corrupt than any of the previous depictions of Sentinel as he literally created racism and classist society, sold out his people to their enemies, murdered their heroes and so much more that he makes Homelander look like a nice guy.
I remember when they were filming this movie in DC, there was an accident where an actual police officer drove onto the set when responding to a call and crashed into bumblebee.
The twins from the second movie were supposed to be in the movie but it just went to them being killed by sentinel after he killed ironhide. They bought bumblebees time to get away
If I had a nickel for every time Megatron dethroned the Lincoln memorial, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's still weird it happened twice
Say what you will about the Michael Bay movies but one thing I'll give him credit for is he doesn't sequel bait. He goes bigger and harder with each one and if they decided at any point they weren't going to make any more, you'd think "Yeah, that's a good place to end it."
Technically, the 4th and 5th movies both sequel bait. With AoE ending with Optimus flying into space to face his creators, and TLK leaving off with Unicron being earth. 1 and 2 have proper endings, but still leave room for potential sequels. In 2007, Optimus’ speech implies more autobots are coming to join the team. In RotF, Megatron and Starscream are still alive, and abandon the fight, with Megatron saying “this isn’t over.” Dark of the Moon straight up is the ending. The Decepticons are dead, the war is over, Megatron is in 2 (just like Jazz, karmic justice), and the Autobots could thankfully live peacefully on Earth with the humans… until humanity started hating them and got hunted by the CIA.
Yes, that Leonard Nimoy (RIP) as Sentinel, in his 2nd time working for Transformers (he was also the voice of Galvatron in his debut in The Transformers the Movie (1986)). Fun fact: the episode of Star Trek Brains and Wheelie are watching earlier in the film, where Spock turns evil, foreshadows the plot twist that Sentinel is the villain.
1:09:12 to 1:09:18 is pretty much the Decepticons's plan from the G1 episode where the teleporting Cybertron to Earth is based from. "The Ultimate Doom" arc (cause it was three episodes divided of parts) simply goes around the Decepticons using a huge version of the Space Bridge to bring Cybertron into Earth's atmosphere and let the gravity pull do its job with the things you said (tsunamis, earthquakes, a lot of disasters) to use them to make a HUGE AMMOUNT of Energon (cause the old cartoon the Decepticons created Energon by using our natural resources to make it). The only way the Autobots were able to save Earth was shooting the ship that was carrying Energon in mid-flight, causing a MASSIVE explosion big enough to send Cybertron back to its star system.
0:59 Thank you! These movies are pure eye candy and fun and that’s why they’re so loved. Are they good by any means? Hell no, I think the first is okay and I personally love the second but I know it’s not great. They stay fun up until The Last Knight imo, that one was just a total drag all the way through, what came after was fun tho
If you're curious, had they not been removed, the Twins would have died during Sentinel's betrayal, Skid's would take a shot from Sentinel's rust canon intended for Bumblebee, while Mudflap, enraged by his brother's death, would attack the traitorus Prime... with predictable results.
One thing I’d like to note is that this is the first time I started to notice these movies retconning or forgetting about stuff from previous movies. For instance Megatron came to Earth in the first movie for the allspark, but in the third movie it was changed to that he went here to meet with Sentinel, waiting to revive him so they can use Prime’s Matrix, which he didn’t even have until the second movie
My teacher told me that we found a Fungus recently in Chernobyl that’s eats radiation and has been cleaning areas it’s in. We are currently investigating it.
Not only did Leonard Nimoy voice Galvatron in the 1986 Transformers Movie, but he might have gotten involved in this film because Michael Bay was his cousin-in-law.
Yeah to answer the question about what happened to Megan Fox's character Mikaela awhile back Megan Fox basically shit talked about Michael Bay even comparing him to Hitler so after that she was pretty much fired and replaced with this girl so that's why Mikaela wasn't in this movie and honestly I feel like her character would have made the whole love thing subplot this movie was doing better in my opinion cause those two been together for the last two movies, Mikaela has experience with cars so it would make sense for her to be working at that car place, she lost Sam once in the second movie so it would make sense for her to be scared of losing him again and it would make Sam going into a war torn Chicago to get her back after everything they went through in the previous movies more impactful. But hey maybe you shouldn't compare your director to a genocidal dictator lol
This movie was like The Avengers, before the The Avengers (2012). The Battle of Chicago remains, one of the most epic sci-fi/modern warfare depictions put to film.
Everyone throwing shit at Optimus for being this ruthless against his enemies in this movie but people seems to not realize how freaking PISSED he was when the Decepticons started committing war crimes like killing innocent civilians left and right and executing prisoners
Here's a short explainer on radiation. I'm only considering ionizing radiation in this case which is radiation powerful enough to knock electrons out of their orbitals which leads to cellular damage. There's 3 main types of ionizing radiation: alpha, beta and gamma. Without going into too much detail, these scale in terms of their penetration power and ionizing potential. Alpha particles will do massive damage to internal organs but they don't have much penetration power and get stopped by something as thin as a sheet of paper or your skin. Beta particles are a step up in penetration power but most beta radiation is blocked by our skin. Now gamma radiation is what most people think of when they think of dangerous radiation. This type of radiation is just electromagnetic waves of very high frequency so it's essentially just light we can't see. This type of radiation penetrates almost anything. That's why lead is used to stop this kind of radiation as it's a very heavy element and has more stopping power while also being relatively cheap. Long story short, those respirators will protect you against alpha and potentially beta particles that can be inhaled or ingested and do internal damage but they won't protect you from gamma radiation
I should add penetration power scales inversely with the amount of cellular damage. While gamma radiation penetrates everything that means it could also penetrate your body completely without doing much damage at all. Alpha particles on the other hand will do massive damage inside your body as the only possible receiver of all that energy is your internal organs
I mean Megatron has a huge ego. It not hard for me to believe that he would be trick like that. I love the relationship Sam has with Optimus and Bee. Optimus was right when he said Sentiel betrayed himself.
Fun fact; the part where the Autobots are exiled, their ship is destroyed and they faked their death is taken from the G1 episode "Megatron's Master Plan" Furthermore, this was not the first time that plot point from "Megatron's Master Plan" was used by a story involving the bay version of Transformers; in TITAN comic's UK exclusive Transformers magazine, from about issue 8 until the book's reboot for ROTF, they ran an AU comic story "Twilight's Last Gleaming" featuring, among other things, the Decepticons winning the battle of Mission City, Unicron posessing Cybertron, Jazz being revived but evil, and mind controlled humans and in the end of that story, they employed the same plot point in the build up to the finale. Also, if you were curious, the new love interest, Carly is a reference to the G1 character Carly, one of the secondary human allies and love interest to primary human ally Spike Witwicky, after whom Sam Witwicky was named.
The Cybertron games are having licensing issues right now but if you can get a copy of them they’re the best transformers games. Especially the multiplayer
Glad we all agree these three films, and Bumblebee, are the only Bayverse ones. Aside from Lockdown, they wouldn't be worth it. Also, please check out Transformers Prime.
There is not so much to defend about the Last Knight, but I really love Optimus's arc in Age of Extinction, the way he loses faith in humanity and starts wondering why did he ever bother to fight for us at the first place
My theory is that Optimus's sudden shift in attitude can be attributed to him, ya know, DYING and being brought back to life. Remember in that last battle in Egypt he was RUTHLESS. Clearly, something snapped during his brief stay in the Well of All Sparks.
1:11:20 I don’t think they understand but in the first three movies. Megatron has an extremely high ego, all Carly does is play with his ego and that’s what ultimately makes him rethink what’s happening Edit: after watching this now makes me wonder how are they going to feel about age of extinction and literally Dinobots
On a more technical note, the Driller was one of ILM most complex VFX creations, having 70,000 moving parts and taking the entirety of their server farm to properly render in full detail. To compare, the Devstator from the last movie took 72 hours per frame to render. Three whole days. This beast took 122 hours per frame at MINIMUM. For the Chicago scene, it skyrocketed up to 288 hours per frame. Fortunately, their server farm at maximum capacity had rendering power of up to 200,000 hours per day, but the fact that they even got it to properly develop for IMAX in 3-D is nothing short of a miracle.
The scene of Driller (the giant worm) crushing the building is one of the most complex CGI scenes ever made. Just the Driller model was composed of around 70,000 parts (7x as much as Optimus), and the full sequence took them almost 300 hours for each frame to render using Industrial Light & Magic's render farm to complete it. There was one point when they were finishing the production that they did 200,000 hours of rendering in 24 hours, which is equivalent to almost 23 years in real time. BONUS: at one point when they were rendering the Devastator (the one with a scrotum) scene for Revenge of the Fallen, one of the computers caught fire
From Google: "Lead is effective in shielding nuclear materials due to its physical properties. It is dense and tough, meaning it can block x-rays and gamma rays from penetrating through the material. When these radioactive waves contact the metal, they collide with the lead atoms and get dispersed."
58:46 who are we talking about here? Buscemi isn’t in any of the movies until the last knight. ( he is starscream in Tf one but that’s Tf one.) if you are talking about wheelie? That’s Tom Kenny If you are talking about one of the twins? That’s also Tom kenny
These first three movies are pretty good. The next two are the ones that suck. Unless you really want to see them, it's perfectly alright skipping them and going straight to Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts instead.
Peter Cullen (voice of Optimus) said one of the greatest moments in his life was meeting Buzz Aldrin during this movie. Since he is a huge space and NASA fan
A fun bombastic movie with a fun little twist that is much better than the 2nd - And speaking of Transformers, I'd love for you guys to react to Beast Wars, an underrated show for the most part or maybe that's nostalgia talking but I think it's worth a watch and I've not seen anyone else react to it!
Heads up: The movies after this one both suck, esoecially 5 where no one wanted to be there except anthony hopkins who looks like the only one having fun.
Any bright colors do an amazing job reflecting radiation this is why hazmat suits are often white or neon colored there was even a guy who survived Hiroshima bc he was inside a building that was painted a bright yellow the color reflects the radiation
Originally Sentinel was originally for Transformers animated from '08 and he was more like Optimus's Starscream constantly trying to preach how he's the true leader of the autobots and this was the first use of him as a villian. As far as I'm aware, to any more involved fans. Feel free to correct me.
In regard to Transformers games, the ones to look out for are "War for Cybertron", and especially its' sequel "Fall of Cybertron" which is one of the best games ever made IMO. There is also "Transformers: Devastation" which is a brawler made by Platinum Games (known for Bayonetta, MGR: Revengeance). Unfortunately, due to licensing issues they are extremely hard to find, no longer available on any digital platform as far as I know...
Tbh I like all of the transformers movies just fun, crazy, entertaining action and if haters want to hate on these movies and that's how you want to be remembered before you die then fine us movie lover's don't care also Ik you guys probably don't know if you will continue the rest of these films but can you at least give them a try you guys are legends 🐶Billy ends the world is peak 👌
As much as I love this movie, and as much as I deeply respect Leonard Nimoy, I have an eternal beef with Sentinel Prime for killing Ironhide. Side note: I love how Megatron stopped himself from killing Carly when she tells him 'You'll be NOTHING....but Sentinel's bitch." Like he's thinking "Primusdammit, she's right...."
The wild foreshadowing of sentinels betrayal is at the beginning when whellie is watching star trek and he says "this is one where Spock goes nuts" and sentinel is played by Leonard Nemoy aka Spock
They got rid of Megan Fox cuz she made a comment where she compared Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler. And although Michael Bay wasn't too bothered by it, Steven Spielberg HATED it,and he wanted her gone.
Sam wasn’t being misogynistic, his girl saw he didn’t like the way he was coming on to her, called it cute, and then got a car from the same guy, she didn’t respect Sam’s boundaries bruh
If you are still curious about radiation levels, I can give a quick summary. I wouldn't classify myself as an expert, per se, but I do have a few degrees in tangential subjects (such as environmental science) that provide me with a basic background understanding. First, radiation is a fairly broad term. Sunlight is solar radiation. So are UV (ultraviolet) rays that give you sunburn and x-rays. Even radio waves are technically "radiation". Different intensities of radiation, classified by wavelength, which affects energy (decreased wavelength corresponds to increased energy) have different levels of deleterious effects and require more between you and them to keep you safe. Case in point, very low-energy waves, such as radio waves, are highly unlikely to every harm you, regardless of your exposure. Anywhere you can get a radio signal you are getting bombarded by them constantly. UV rays, on the other hand, can give you sunburn and even increase your propensity for cancer if you are overexposed, but something as simple as sunscreen can provide ample protection. The radiation waves most people are concerned with when dealing with atomic weapons and reactor meltdowns is gamma radiation. This is particularly nasty stuff that is significantly higher energy than x-rays. Yes, it can be blocked by things other than lead. Lead is very useful. It has a high density (mass per volume) which makes it fairly effective at blocking both x-rays and gamma rays. It is also highly malleable, meaning it can be easily molded into different shapes (unlike concrete which is also used in radiation barriers). Finally, it is very cheap relative to many other dense metals. I don't think I need to explain why this is handy. Many dense materials are used in barriers in nuclear reactors including lead, steel, and concrete in varying amounts. Lastly, how close can you get to Chernobyl? This is where my expertise is more limited. I am HAZWOPER certified (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response), which has familiarized me with type A-D PPE (Personal Protective Equipment, basically anything that keeps you safe). There are radiation-resistant suits which completely seal up and use SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, think SCUBA gear but not underwater) since they don't allow gasses into the suit. I don't know off the top of my head exactly how much protection they provide, but I'm sure no one would *recommend* walking into dense gamma radiation for extended periods no matter what you were wearing. Some quick Googling reveals that a dose of around 5 sieverts is lethal to half of people exposed to it. The most heavily irradiated areas on site were receiving around 300 sieverts an hour at the time of the incident. Now, around 90% of the radiation at the time of the incident is gone. That said, there's still some places in there that are way too "hot" to enter. A suit will help to extend how far you can go and for how long, but no suit is perfect. I know this was lengthy, but I promise it is also a fairly simple summary of the topic and questions asked. I hope this finds its intended audience and is informative and/or interesting.
1:23 yeah nobody's argues this. its just script wise and continuity wise these films could be just a BIT tighter and you can have both eye candy and good writing
Led does not repel radiation. Think of any material like a sieve and radiation like water. materials like steel or wood or plastic have holes in them like a sieve. some materials are more tightly packed together and let less water through. Led is one of the densest elements we know of and have very, very, tiny hole which, depending on how thick the material is, will stop most if not all of the water/radiation from penetrating it. Led lined suits will block harmful radiation to a point which is why they need to watch their radiation levels because if there is too much radiation present it can penetrate the protective suit.
Also sadly the twins from the last one die in this movie as well in a comic it's after sentinel kills ironhide they bump into him and like they both are more blackops now then in the second one and are much better fighters but they asked him what was going on since they were in the back and had no clue what was going on and sentinel cut one in half and shot the other with the rust gun and the one that got cut in half watched his brother rust away before the rust spread to his spilled blood and also rusted him away as well which sucks cause I liked them both
17:52 I love these movies. The only issue I have always had with them was their continuity. The transformers seem to have come to Earth at different times in history but never crossed paths. Or one came to earth one year but is seen on earth a couple decades earlier. 29:02 no he’s good. He’s got a hot girlfriend for his boss to check out. 58:10 there’s three NASCAR ones that are the Wreckers. 88 Dale Jr, 48 Jimmie Johnson & 42 Juan Pablo Montoya. 1:12:04 no Megatron was never a prime.
1:09:27 I am going to say (More as a head-canon) that maybe it isn't effecting earth or the moon yet because it hasn't fully came through the portal. Because yekno, plot and alien tech bs. But it'd make sense since if the portal let forces of the universe like gravity take place, if only half of Cybertron is through it'd rip it in half probably.
i’m from central jersey i’ve yet to see a single drone but it’s really just the older people freaking out it literally just looks like some state drone patrol
he's not my fav, but i damn well grew to love him in these movies (i had no knowledge of transformers until these movies) the bot should've been above such disrespect, but then again it IS sentinel prime; who it turns out is just the stereotype for a traitor character
I think you guys should know that there is an altenate version of the ending where both Prime and Megatron reconcile. Megatron literally goes out of his way to stop the war all together, that's probably why Megatron easily went for Sentinel Prime because he realised he was a pawn in the war.

Yes. And just like Nachos, I’d rather eat a real meal or any other chip as a snack. But with a little booze and cheesiness, it hits the spot sometimes like nothing else
They go into the category of not good, but fun to watch.

R.I.P. Ironhide, the greatest of the Bayverse transformers. You will never be forgotten. Also, Leonard Nemoy did an incredible job voicing Sentinel.
I agree with you 😢RIP IRONHIDE noo🖤🖤💔
He lived a warrior and died a hero. Let his spark join the Matrix, the greatest of Cybertron.

Carly was also a character in the G1 cartoon. She was Spike Witwiky's girlfriend and later wife in the 86 movie
That’s the government for you, they are uptight
The Optimus Prime rage scene still gives me goosebumps. He was fed the fuck up and I loved it
I like how you can tell they did the bare minimum to change the script after Megan Fox left.
Optimus used to be chill….then he got to know us, now he’s got no patience. 😂
No matter what continuity Sentinel Prime is the *BIGGEST PIECE OF SCRAP ON CYBERTRON!🤬*
The moment that Sentinel killed Ironhide was such a shocking betrayal because Ironhide was the GOAT and didnt deserve to go out like that.
Animated: Douche Canoe
Live Action: Traitor
One: Douche Canoe Traitor
Sentinel was a legit good guy in G1, but he was retroactively made Sentinel.
@@constructking8850 IDW: Genocidal douche canoe traitor
IDW 2005: Richard Nixon
IDW 2019: Genuinely a good guy
I remember when they were filming this movie in DC, there was an accident where an actual police officer drove onto the set when responding to a call and crashed into bumblebee.
Oh snap 😮
Yep and Hasbro later added that police cruiser as a decepticon in the toy line
“I am so sorry that is the old me😢” one of my favorite lines 😂😂😂
The twins from the second movie were supposed to be in the movie but it just went to them being killed by sentinel after he killed ironhide. They bought bumblebees time to get away
This is Sam Witwicky’s crash-out movie and I love it
If I had a nickel for every time Megatron dethroned the Lincoln memorial, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's still weird it happened twice
3 times if you wanna count the ending to the tf1 game
@yourhighness927 oh, that's cool. Did not know about that one, I never finished that game
Say what you will about the Michael Bay movies but one thing I'll give him credit for is he doesn't sequel bait. He goes bigger and harder with each one and if they decided at any point they weren't going to make any more, you'd think "Yeah, that's a good place to end it."
Ironically, the 5th movie is the only exception with the Unicron tease
@Kutomi1 Yeah, that might have done it HAHA.
"Damn it, Bay! You overpromised! You ruined it!"
In RotF, Megatron and Starscream are still alive, and abandon the fight, with Megatron saying “this isn’t over.”
Dark of the Moon straight up is the ending.
Too add on, Megatron wasn't even in charge since he was working under The Fallen
Wasn’t it they made the deal before the ark left cybertron?
1:12:36 Megatron really should stop asking retorical questions to Optimus, it never ends well for him
My teacher told me that we found a Fungus recently in Chernobyl that’s eats radiation and has been cleaning areas it’s in. We are currently investigating it.
Huh, interesting. Hadn't heard of this one, but it seems legitimate. Thanks for pointing it out.
Not only did Leonard Nimoy voice Galvatron in the 1986 Transformers Movie, but he might have gotten involved in this film because Michael Bay was his cousin-in-law.
Excuse me???
Wait what
@ Yeah, Nimoy and Bay are related because Nimoy married Susan Bay.
Yep, and this movie did the "shooting a giant beam to the sky to open a portal" before the Avengers did. lol
@@Commander_Shepard.and the ships too
Everyone throwing shit at Optimus for being this ruthless against his enemies in this movie but people seems to not realize how freaking PISSED he was when the Decepticons started committing war crimes like killing innocent civilians left and right and executing prisoners
Fun fact; the part where the Autobots are exiled, their ship is destroyed and they faked their death is taken from the G1 episode "Megatron's Master Plan"
Furthermore, this was not the first time that plot point from "Megatron's Master Plan" was used by a story involving the bay version of Transformers; in TITAN comic's UK exclusive Transformers magazine, from about issue 8 until the book's reboot for ROTF, they ran an AU comic story "Twilight's Last Gleaming" featuring, among other things, the Decepticons winning the battle of Mission City, Unicron posessing Cybertron, Jazz being revived but evil, and mind controlled humans and in the end of that story, they employed the same plot point in the build up to the finale.
Also, if you were curious, the new love interest, Carly is a reference to the G1 character Carly, one of the secondary human allies and love interest to primary human ally Spike Witwicky, after whom Sam Witwicky was named.
52:22 honestly unless Optimus or superman or the Omnitrix shows up i don't wanna hear nothing about aliens
The Cybertron games are having licensing issues right now but if you can get a copy of them they’re the best transformers games. Especially the multiplayer
Now, Age of Extinction (Mark Wahlberg).
44:51 funny cuz in the g1 cartoon Megatron carefully removed Lincoln 😂😂
Best of the trilogy, so crazy and awesome, how can you not love this one
Glad we all agree these three films, and Bumblebee, are the only Bayverse ones. Aside from Lockdown, they wouldn't be worth it. Also, please check out Transformers Prime.
Bumblebee isn’t even apart of Bayverse. It’s its own thing.
You're right except for bumblebee that one is a reboot
There is not so much to defend about the Last Knight, but I really love Optimus's arc in Age of Extinction, the way he loses faith in humanity and starts wondering why did he ever bother to fight for us at the first place
@@polaullon5116 I liked the idea. Execution was poor, if I’m being honest.
Bumblebee isn't Bayverse at all. It is its own thing with Rise of the Beasts that will crossover with G.I. Joe
My theory is that Optimus's sudden shift in attitude can be attributed to him, ya know, DYING and being brought back to life. Remember in that last battle in Egypt he was RUTHLESS. Clearly, something snapped during his brief stay in the Well of All Sparks.
40:40 this was a 3D movie at the time but unlike most it actually worked! It’s one of the few I would have reccomended seeing in 3D
as We are on this little "Transformers reaction arc" I REALLY hope We will get a Tranformers: Prime (TV Show) reaction series someday, OMG
1:11:20 I don’t think they understand but in the first three movies. Megatron has an extremely high ego, all Carly does is play with his ego and that’s what ultimately makes him rethink what’s happening
Edit: after watching this now makes me wonder how are they going to feel about age of extinction and literally Dinobots
Bayformers is beer, Transformers One is whine
1:16 WATCH TRAVIS KNIGHT'S 2018 Bumblebee, NOW THATS BOTH EYE CANDY AND A BEUTIFUL CINEMATIC STORY 👐
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are phenomenal
2 really good games: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron
From Google:
"Lead is effective in shielding nuclear materials due to its physical properties.
That’s Tom Kenny
If you are talking about one of the twins? That’s also Tom kenny
Rip Ironhide, may your spark rest in peace😭😭😭
1:11:59 No, Megatron is not a Prime
This was the last movie I saw from the bayverse
17:38 “Absolute Cinema”
Heads up: The movies after this one both suck, esoecially 5 where no one wanted to be there except anthony hopkins who looks like the only one having fun.
23:17 This guy is McDreamy
His best friend on Greys Anatomy was McSteamy
“I’d power walk like a mf” sounds like something I never thought I’d hear but I’m so glad I did 💀
Without fail, Sentinel Prime has been from a complete asshole to a full-blown tyrant in every appearance and iteration. And he fits the roles so well.
Any bright colors do an amazing job reflecting radiation this is why hazmat suits are often white or neon colored there was even a guy who survived Hiroshima bc he was inside a building that was painted a bright yellow the color reflects the radiation
I work in Newark and when It’s dark it’s just a bunch of white bright lights staying still and more appear every day lmao😂😂
😊😊😊😊
I’m glad someone is talking about the NJ drones
- Jersey Resident
They got rid of Megan Fox cuz she made a comment where she compared Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler. And although Michael Bay wasn't too bothered by it, Steven Spielberg HATED it,and he wanted her gone.
Sam wasn’t being misogynistic, his girl saw he didn’t like the way he was coming on to her, called it cute, and then got a car from the same guy, she didn’t respect Sam’s boundaries bruh
Yeah its natural
5:22 "Transformers, Robots in the Sky" doesn't hit quite the same
12:46 based Destiny year 1 reference lmao
Steve Bushemi was starscream in transformers one
Led does not repel radiation. Think of any material like a sieve and radiation like water. materials like steel or wood or plastic have holes in them like a sieve. some materials are more tightly packed together and let less water through. Led is one of the densest elements we know of and have very, very, tiny hole which, depending on how thick the material is, will stop most if not all of the water/radiation from penetrating it. Led lined suits will block harmful radiation to a point which is why they need to watch their radiation levels because if there is too much radiation present it can penetrate the protective suit.
Skip the next 2 and go to the reboot films Bumblebee and Rise of the Beast
Also sadly the twins from the last one die in this movie as well in a comic it's after sentinel kills ironhide they bump into him and like they both are more blackops now then in the second one and are much better fighters but they asked him what was going on since they were in the back and had no clue what was going on and sentinel cut one in half and shot the other with the rust gun and the one that got cut in half watched his brother rust away before the rust spread to his spilled blood and also rusted him away as well which sucks cause I liked them both
No one who saw this would've guessed ROSIE would be the one to go on to an Oscar-winning feature...
They did Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream so dirty in this movie
and my man ironhide...
Optimus' second in command/weapon specialist
sentinel prime deserved far worse
17:52 I love these movies. The only issue I have always had with them was their continuity. The transformers seem to have come to Earth at different times in history but never crossed paths. Or one came to earth one year but is seen on earth a couple decades earlier. 29:02 no he’s good. He’s got a hot girlfriend for his boss to check out. 58:10 there’s three NASCAR ones that are the Wreckers. 88 Dale Jr, 48 Jimmie Johnson & 42 Juan Pablo Montoya. 1:12:04 no Megatron was never a prime.
25:02 😏😏😏
42:19 Betrayal/Traitor
1:09:27 I am going to say (More as a head-canon) that maybe it isn't effecting earth or the moon yet because it hasn't fully came through the portal. Because yekno, plot and alien tech bs.
But it'd make sense since if the portal let forces of the universe like gravity take place, if only half of Cybertron is through it'd rip it in half probably.
i’m from central jersey i’ve yet to see a single drone but it’s really just the older people freaking out it literally just looks like some state drone patrol
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are fantastic games.
I love this channel. 5 minutes in and yall are yapping about Jersey UFOs 😂

Imagine being 12 and ironhide being your favorite character I’ve still never recovered
he's not my fav, but i damn well grew to love him in these movies (i had no knowledge of transformers until these movies)
the bot should've been above such disrespect, but then again it IS sentinel prime; who it turns out is just the stereotype for a traitor character
Sean: Optimus is THE job
Optimus: to Prevent mankind from bring harm
Somehow that's so fitting
1:12:04 no no no no no megatron is not a prime in any continuity stop that!
Finally!! Now you can get to the GOOD STUFF, the reboot movies: Bumblebee & Rise of the Beasts!
Man loved Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime❤
I think you guys should know that there is an altenate version of the ending where both Prime and Megatron reconcile. Megatron literally goes out of his way to stop the war all together, that's probably why Megatron easily went for Sentinel Prime because he realised he was a pawn in the war.
