    This is so true.
I was looking forward to buy a home energy storage and solution, and chose lithium ion battery.
But when I googled for it and found just two companies selling commercial Li ion for home with such high prices.
So alternatively I started browsing through Alibaba's (China) Supplier and found 500+ vendors and 30+ big companies selling high tech lithium battery with aggressive prices in a competitive environment.
    Finally ordered it from china.
This made me realise the whole situation, if it weren't for these Chinese manufacturing and their products, india would have been lagging behind in majority of things.

What happened when we boycott British goods during colonial era.

British were not manufacturing for Indian consumers who were dirt poor. Their market was in the west region ...

    • @Anu-iu1hg

@@surejkapoor2292 well you should study some modern history then. Brits encourage export of raw materials from India, then converted it in finished goods and exported it to India.
There're several policies of British from which you can assess all this:-
      1. Indian art, crafts, cloths were hand made so it was high in price but in Britain due to mechanization cloths and other goods made from factories were cheap due to higher production.
      1. High custom duty on the finished goods imported from India to Britain > Higher cost >discouraged indian finished goods.
      2. Negligible import duty when British goods came to India.> lower custom duty of British goods> cheaper for Indians. > encouraged British goods.
Now if you know little bit of economics, value added in manufacturing process are far more than primary activity where one produce raw material. So more money goes to British due to unfair trade practices.

@@Anu-iu1hg No. Indian business houses were more interested to export it to West rather than to Indians in home.

Excellent commentary and analysis. I might add to this that even the Indian Pharmaceutical industry is heavily dependent on China, because many of raw ingredients for the manufacture of pharma products come from China. Significant parts of the Indian pharma industry will collapse is tomorrow suddenly the raw materials from China are banned from entry into India.
Also, I might add that most people in the world (except for Indians of course) would not say India is among the top two powerful countries in Asia. Most people in the world would say that status goes to China and Japan. So, the second spot would go to Japan, not India (although many Indians, particularly Modi Bhakst think India is not just the most powerful in Asia, but in the entire world, and may even in the entire galaxy!)🤣
In actual fact, Japan is far more powerful than India at almost every level. That could change in the future, but as of now Japan is way ahead of India.

More than one-third of India's external trade comes from China; while, the same one-third of ours is no more than 3% of China's overall trade!
It tells us something about China's economy.
