One of the greatest things about the internet is being able to see people building their dreams. Best of luck to you guys and everyone else who goes for it! The color for the conex is awesome!
“…Make hay while the sun shines…” And that’s what you are doing, WOW! The fact you made a point to show the 3 am time stamp brings it clearly home! Awesome work and the fact that you are sharing it with us is a treat… Thanks, Eric & Arielle for bringing us along… Onward & upward you go!
Seeing Bo today made my day. I was wondering how he was. Looks so handsome. I love Bandit too but there is just something about Bo that tugs my heart😘. Eric you are so smart. Nothing stops you👍. I love the color of the paint your using. Awesome color. Thanks for sharing. Take care✌️🇺🇸❤️
There is Bo.😀. Glad to see him. I had a dog just like him, same size and color pattern. I miss him very much. His name was Judge. Always enjoy seeing Bo.
I HATE picking out paint color. My wife LOVES it. She can talk for hours and look at samples and talk about it while looking at samples and talking about them while looking at samples and talking about them... rinse and repeat. And then... months after the paint has been applied... she can still enjoy talking about the finished color and how she thought the one she picked out was darker/lighter or had more of a green tint or had more of an eggshell hue to the sheen but not the base coat or how this one is a glossy-er semi-gloss than the other semi-gloss... it never stops.
Having hot and cold water outdoor is very handy especially cleaning those freshly caught fish. Good choice of paint color it's like earth tone colors. Beautiful!
Make sure you put ball valve shut off valves on the inside of the house to shut off water and drain the extra water outside to keep the valves from freezing. Keep the lines on a slope so water will drain outside.
they have valves at the tank if need be... but its a frostless assembly that is why the tubes for the valve extend through the wall into the structure. I believe their crawl space stays above freezing.
@@MrAwsomeshot I think they might have a crawl space heater with digital thermostatic control (for example, if it gets below ~35°, the heater kicks on for a while).
Don't forget to grease the rubber gaskets on the doors and the rods when you close the doors so the nuckels don't rust. Trust me on this I used to work on containers
Love the mess up color! It reminds me of a military beige that is used on machines in the desert areas. It is always an adventure picking paint colors!
You should have a muralist come over and paint something awesome on the side of your conex. Some kind of cool nature scene. That paint color is perfect. Fantastic job!!!!
You two look like you're really enjoying yourselves. You can really set up your new place how you want to and not be limited by space. Good thing you have Pepper to protect you from the voles. It's always good to see Bo and Bandit too. Thank you for another great video.
The flashing looks amazing. On the Conex, I love the paint color. It looks really good. Breakfast looked delicious. Your channel is my favorite channel.
I love egg’s Benedict, that hollandaise sauce looks amazing. I love the color on the conex, it was meant to be ❤😊, great job on the plumbing Eric, a warm shower after working outdoors is in order, just need a shower hose😂!
You can fasten the metal flashing to the studs that are within the ICF. The studs are recessed about 5/8" from the surface of the foam. There should be a vertical marking embossed on the outer surface of the ICF that is about 8" on center. That's where the studs are located. ps: use a #10 coarse thread screw.
As usual the perfect fix for my week their calculations in decision-making is just absolutely out-of-this-world. This is without a doubt my most favorite show
Yes, chickens do like foam, insulation and OSB - they ate the whole inside of my coop...I did not paint as you did though. I Quite like the color of the conex. But what I like even more is the paint sprayer - very impressive. I have a ton of cedar shingles to stain and other buildings to paint, so will be checking that sprayer out. You threw me for a loop with the pasque flower - we know them as Crocus's here on the prairies. Good video!
I love 💗the color...looks like my best cup of coffee with barely a hint of cream. Now the CONEX blends into the environment and looks great with the house too. Really, really, nice!
A great job painting the container and the color is awesome. Eric you are a jack of all trades and Arielle you are right behind with all the info you dig up on everything from bees to flowers to spices 😊
Ooh my goodness, I love the paint color on your conex. I so love being able to tag along with your adventures. WOW bright out at 3am, very cool though.
I always stop whatever I'm doing to watch you two. Just loving the new property so much more room to set up the area around the house. Today vlog was awesome and the weather must be real good, Arielle in shorts and Eric with no sleeves. Must be a tropical heatwave! Color looks great! Thanks for sharing Eric & Arielle, love ya
Bo knows, Bandit's ready! Nice having hot/cold water outside. Consider (before winter) adding two shut-off valves just inside the exterior wall, and make sure they're shut-off valves with bleed valves which go between the ball part of the valve and the exterior wall. This will allow you to shut off the flow of water, open the bleed valves and outside faucet valves to drain all water from outside the house, thus preventing frozen/bursting of the copper. Pex can freeze/swell 300% without bursting. Purdy paint job on the Conex. Rock on you two!
Look again, it's a Woodford freezeless faucet, as long as the hose is taken off for the winter and the crawlspace doesn't freeze it doesn't need to be drained.
Fantastic. A bug screen (mesh) slipped under the bottom of the metal before attaching and top caulking may prevent creatures nesting back there. Even Alaska has bugs. As always an A team approach. Love it. The paint is perfect.
I love having hot water outside!! I bought an old cast iron claw foot bathtub ( cost less than $80! ) and I have it outside behind my barn! after a long day of yard work..nothing beats soaking in that tub!
I think your strategy of going with subtle Earth tones, to blend things into nature is going to work out very well. Anything, like browns, greens, and sky blues are going to be perfect starting points, and I don't expect the exact shade to be very important. That Conex looks perfect!
The paint color looks to me like they used the formula for one gallon instead of 5 gallons. 😮 I also have an outdoor hot water faucet that we use to fill a claw foot tub I got at a salvage yard. Right now we have an umbrella with a screen since it is prime bug season, otherwise it is star gazing paradise. So great to hear Pepper is on the job with the voles, just watch she doesn’t bring you a live one to show you her hunting prowess. Lol
That turned out to be the best mixing error that store has ever made😊 with the darker shade your Conex would look like an abandoned UPS truck and maybe some people would get curious🤔 would perfectly blend into OR backcountry as well.

That intermission with Bo (Beau?) melted my heart.

You can see the ball valves @ 8:18 (in fact, he uses it to start the water flowing again), but I completely agree. A must have!
