Definately. I think it would be too obvious and easy, which is why he didn't include him.
He'd be slow and have a large hitbox, but he would have a godlike recovery, pretty much never remaining on the ground.

I feel like most portrait ghosts ( shivers, spooky, petunia ect ) would be good as assist trophys
Melody: only shoots music and can easily be defeated. Gets a check.
Amadeus: sends out chairs and ballerinas, can possess a piano, throw said piano into the ground and create a shockwave, shoots piano keys, throws bombs and music notes, can extend his arms, probably can set things on fire, actually puts up a challenge, And was first place in nin10doland’s top ten. Gets an x.
Makes total sense to me.

Personally I would buy a dlc pack with a king boo fighter and a helen gravely as a Mii fighter and a stage based off of Luigis mansion 3 like new donk city.
How about on the hotel roof from the final boss that can break down mid battle like the ending and all the fighters fight on the ground and the rubble

We forgot about the Greenies, while they are the most bssic ghost, I feel like they have the most move set potental
I mean, they do come in many personalities. They could be more like the Mii fighters of this

You forgor dark moon. You could have the poltergeist, king boo with the powers he has in dark moon,and maybe even the normal ghosts but they act how they do in their boss form from the scarescraler amd they could jave skins of their different appearances in that mode of dark moon. The poltergeist could posses certain objects in the stage it fights in and could possibly turn itself to a knight or the spider or anything jt became in dark moon as its special attack. King boo (dark moon) could have lighting bolts,spikes,invisibility,and that weird dash thing it does in the boss fight from dark moon. There is also big boo but honestly he would be pretty lame. Just a big ball that can split itself and... What else did he do that was unique?

I think Nikki Lindsay and Ginny would work really well because they could have a mechanic where if one of them died the hat would be replaced with a bomb just like in the actual game

I think that the poltergeist from Dark Moon would make an interesting character with its telekinesis. Maybe, it could start floating up for a few seconds just by holding the jump button, leaving the up special for something different, kind of like Rob's up special except with less height and it would recharge completely as soon as you touch the ground. Maybe, it could use its neutral special to hold projectiles and items around yourself for as long as you want and then tap the button again to throw whatever was floating around yourself. His down special could be to turn completely invisible for a few seconds, and the shield and grabbing would also be invisible. Maybe his side special would just be to throw fire, wind, and sand in front of him, cycling each time you use it. Its up special could be to send a shockwave around its head in a wide radius like any other move that paralysis someone. Its attacks would just be fire, books, bricks, spider-webs, sand, head-bashes. Its final smash would pretty much be mewtwo's final smash sending out a mind wave.

I think King Macfrights should come to Smash. We need more swordsmen, armor, and the like.
I would imagine a Game and Watch way of fighting for them honestly, with Vincent/the shadow ghost being the leader for the first one and the new ones being led by Helen Gravely. Kind of like a swap out swap in character which they swap out and change drastically (unlike Pokemon trainer 3 Pokemon, which are more or less a solid unit, these ones are more of a jack-in-the-box group of oddballs putting out their best shot) on how they fight, different themes, like one can be a heavy tank, another being a sneaky trickster, and another being a campy character. Though I would imagine them working better as a part of King Boos gimmick or final smash.

The sand boss in Luigi mansion 3 has equestrian magic and is a hybrid of Sphinx from my little pony and sand girl from marvel

My winner for the Luigi's Mansion characters for smash is Melody Pianisima.
I thought Ug would win, I also have a move-set for Ug as well. Jabs: Club swing. Forward A: Baryonyx Slap Forward smash: Velociraptor claw swipe. Down smash: Ankylosaurus tail slam. Up smash: Deinosuchus bite. Neutral B: Dilophosaurus spit. Side B: Stygimoloch charge. Up B: Pteranodon glide (Basically Ridley's Up B but you can jump after wards). Down B: Dimetrodon bite combo. Forward air: Micro-Raptor nibble. Back air: Pteranodon clap. Up air: Utah-Raptor swipe. down air: Nanuqsaurus stomp. Dash attack: Dromaeosaurus stampede. Final Smash: Spinosaurus possesion (Transforms you into a Spinosaurus skeleton, so basically Giga Bowser but it is a dinosaur instead). Jabs: Claw swipes. Forward A: Claw slash. Dash attack: Quick chomp. Forward smash: double chompie chomps. Down smash: tail spin. Up smash: Sail jump. Neutral B: Bone toss. Side B: Head smash. Up B: Claw clash. Down B: Spino stomp. Neutral air: Sail spin. Forward air: Claw-to-Bite insanity. Back air: Sail slap. Up air: Claw terror. Down air: Stomp 'n Claw (Basically Charizard down air but it is a giant dinosaur and a claw slash after as-well lol). Turns back to Ug after 10 mins. (DO NOT PLAY IN TIME BATTLE.)
I think if your gonna make a Luigi’s Mansion Ghost moveset, make a combination of all the ghosts. The ghosts don’t have much by themselves but if you just use all of them they could do so much.

I would have gone with Serpci, mainly because she has the means to use a recovery move in the form of her sand. Van Gore, Spooky, MacFright, Bogmire, and Mr. Luggs would be Assist Trophies.
The only thing she's missing is a Final Smash.

Me and my friend did something similar
We immediately eliminated the first 4 bosses
Amadeus gets a pass
Same with king mac frights and Dr potter
But we elinated morty and the godzilla
We kept ug serpci nikki lindsey and ginny and captain fishhook and King boo
We got riddle of clem Johnny dj phantasmasgloria polterkity and hellen gravely
Then we eliminated Amadeus the triplets and kingmacfrights
Then we eliminated Dr Potter and ug
We eliminated king boo he is 3rd
Captain fishhook is 2nd
Serpci is first
All Vincent has got is paintings 🎨

That's Bouldergeist, I'm pretty confident they aren't the same entity
Myself would have chosen wolfgeist as it is very easy to think of special moves for him because his boss fight gave so much

It's funny to see people speculating about movesets without knowing Rivals Of Aether explored 90% of these concepts. For example, Vincent Van Gore's moveset has already been done(even Star Allies did it)
You are mistaken with Adeleine. But yeah the Moveset would be similar to hers conceptually, but I wouldn't mind tho since Van Goh could use all the regular Ghosts from the original Luigi's Mansion
