    Beautiful work, I'd like to make one of these for the bunkhouse we're building. Love seeing your little helpers around the shop.

    Love everything about this...the rustic feel, the attire, and the craftsmanship.

    Great Job Jordan! Glad to see having some help, especially for such an awkward project!! Always enjoy seeing your hammer control and doing such clean work!

    This is my first time to visit your channel...really like the work you do.
    You probably already know or do this, but I made an adjustable height roller stand like carpenters use on miter saws. When making long pieces like your pot racks and some stair railings I just finished, it was great to use as a second hand to hold long things on the anvil (and forge as well). I hope to spend more time viewing your channel...keep up the good work!

      Haha thank you! Yep, I keep putting off making a “blacksmith’s helper” but I sure could use one.

    Nice!! I like your lighting. I'm slowly removing everything electrical out of my shop. About the only thing left is lights. I built my current shop to be "rustic".

    Great video sir, was just thinking of making one of these yesterday. Got some tooling to make before I could make the one I want. The video was very informative. Great job, keep up the good work.

    have to make carbide or diamond tipped layout tools if i can one day for this kinda stuff. scribing scale makes me cringe a bit everytime. they sell carbide chisels for stone carving btw.

    Where do you get your clothes from?

    • @philiplittle2509
      @philiplittle2509 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Period correct clothing that is ?

    • @AxeAndAnvil
      @AxeAndAnvil  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of what I wear isn’t really correct to a period- even the trousers are not good reproductions, just generically old fashioned looking. But I get Welch brand suspenders from David Morgan online, and Frontier Classics trousers from Work-n-Ranch. Most shirts are thrift store finds, while my wife makes a few as well. Thanks for asking!

      Nope, I get them from blacksmithbolt.com

    I’ve burnt a few projects while distracted by my phone….this is why blacksmiths didn’t carry cel phones historically I guess
