    might be my favorite vid you've done bro. Love the ground ball segment!!!! This is pretty similar to how I shaped my shortstop glove back in the day - amazing for deflecting, forehand, and turning double plays - but a tad suspect on "secure the ball" plays like dives/backhand/etc.

    Mizuno is huge in Japan, the most dominant brand over there I would even say is much bigger there than Rawlings or Wilson in the US

    i will stand by the statement that Mizuno makes the best gloves in baseball. the American glove line is not as good as Wilson or Rawlings best, but their Japanese gloves are the best gloves there is

    Got this glove last winter. Breaking it in mostly one-hinge style per the shallow pocket design. Mizuno gloves are designed to be worn a particular way. Two in the last finger slot just doesn't feel "right" with this glove. The lining is super nice and easy to handle.
    Great glove vid as always!

    Didn't expect the Simmons glove review- that's freakin sweet! Always loved Simba, especially his time with ATL. If you lingered on your turn on the bases, he'd get ya w/the snap throw, so fun to watch!

  • @Jaxonstek

    In my opinion for infield. One hinge is better with two in the pinky. Two in the pinky makes it easier to close because your hand goes further down, therefore letting the heel go deeper into your palm, therefore closing more. (Sorry if I did a horrible job at explaining it.) It also makes backhands easier. But I’m not an infielder I’m a catcher and outfield. But that’s how I like my infield gloves. Yours may be different.

    I'm not sure if it's true that the leather is tanned in Japan. As far as I know, Mizuno's glove for US models are mostly made in China. Only the limited edition is made in Haga Japan. Even most of the models in Japan are made in China too nowadays. But it doesn't really matter I guess, this video is awesome, just want to point this out in case anyone is interested in buying these because of where it's being made.

    • @BeanBeanAndTaoTao

      Rawlings and Wilson are very popular in USA, but in Japan, it would be mostly Mizuno, Asics, Zett, SSK. I know Rawlings and Wilson also have it's own JP models in JP market. There is one that just released in US market as well. I think it's called Wilson Staff glove. It was sold out pretty quickly tho. It would be great if you could make a video explaining the difference between JP models and USA models.

    • @ballgloveking
      @ballgloveking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First off thanks got watching and I always want to know if I’m wrong! I was surprised but from what I read the leather is tanned in Japan. I was doubting it as well honestly haha. But I’ve got a series coming up in a couple months where I will be comparing US and Japan Gloves.
      I’m like ridiculously excited for the series cause I’m obsessed with Japanese gloves!

I have an np style Rawlings GG Elite and love it, but it’s very floppy which I don’t like.
