- Meeting Senna at the 1991 Spa F1 GP. Also the first F1 GP participation for the young Michael Schumacher... In the paddock and on the grid. ! Private Video !
PS : The date on the video is inacurate, please don't take it in consideration.
Thank you ALL for your warm and kind messages !!! Yes a great era with greats drivers and NOT SO MUCH ELECTRONICS involved...
Except for fuel injection and a semi automatic gearbox on the Williams and Ferrari.
@@williamstephens9945 Yes but you know what i mean...
69 FEL that was F1, I mean now it’s just more of a drama show, but this, this was Racing!!! Thanks for the Video
@@69fel32 Greetings from Canada. Thanks for sharing mate. If you have any more footage please upload. These were the days. Today F1 is a sad joke.
@@BenDover-jn5el Thank you !
This is amazing. And I can recognise all the drivers by their helmets because back then they didn’t change the design every 5 seconds...
Rest in peace great Ayrton...
The best F1 age. The sound of these V10 and V12. That was racing at its best.
Estão acabando com os Motores aspirados
Anos dourados, a melhor época.
O punta taco do Senna era incrível.
Totalmente perceptível nessa primeira curva , os demais aceleração normal.
I can’t explain the sensation I feel when I see a VHS from 80’s and 90’s. It feels like somethings were warmer than now. Miss those years, we used to play on the road, not with computers...
Marcello Porro Yes now you don’t see ANY young people playing on the road...
Stop the nostalgia, if that time was the best for you it’s just because you were young and careless.
Right on what i feel also...
I played with computers in the 80's and 90'd.
Looks like we have some boomers here.
Live the present guys. Leave the past in the past
They were more computers then than now... Did you remeber? there was the Williams FW14 with Active suspension and in two next years... well Williams used the electronic to build the most advanced cars in history (That were WAY far on every today car that only has a bit of power steering because today TC, ABS and all of these things are banned since 2008)
I was only 9 years old during this race. I was introduced to F1 in 1993 from playing Senna's Sega game "Super Monaco GP". Unfortunately I never attended an F1 race but I did get to see Mansell and Andretti race Indy Car at Long Beach 1993.
Wow, Schumacher in a Jordan dress, that is quite some rare footage right there.
Bet there aren't many private videos from that age let alone from this occasion.
That Honda V12 is just savage
Spa 1991, 20 world titles: Senna, Schumacher, Mansell, Prost, Piquet, Hakkinen
and Hill in 3rd driver !
The King is dead, long live the King. RIP Ayrton . We miss u so much.
The best all times! RIP AYRTON SENNA DO BRASIL.
An amazing piece of motorsport history from a glorious time! Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful era. The world has gone bad.
Thankyou ! A time when F1 cars sounded like F1 cars !
Who thinks Senna is the best pilot of all time, from a like ...👍👍
The days when F1 was still F1...
It is still ! I hope you enjoyed that crazy 2020 season !
McLaren was incredibly lucky in this race - all it's rivals were faster and they all broke down. A testament to their reliability.
Para mi fue la mejor epoca de f1. Saludos desde Bolivia.
Nostalgic
Golden years, this sound is brutal, nostalgic and sad in different way.
The formel 1 could so easy be fantastic. Built cars like these, with the look and sound and cancel egologic regulations. Let the cars scream like in the past.
Gachot
WHY?
WoW,nice to see Ayrton. Thanks
the good ol' days when all we had was garbage vhs...
BLESS YOU BROTHER FOR THIS GEM MEMORIES!!!!!! GREETINGS FROM GREECE
Greetings from Belgium ! Many Thank's
Senna with his throttle technique...bam bam bam... 🥇
Priceless. Wish I could hit that LIKE button a zillion times. A piece of history, real life, not journalistic BS.
Many thank's !!!
I saw that race.... great day.... first race schumacher (he could have won it if you know that his teammate De Cesaris was 2nd until 2 laps of the end and Senna had engine/gear problems) win of Senna (the best...25y already that man is dead but what a great champion) first lap of that race.... senna, prost, mansell, piquet and schumacher....18 worldtitles.... plus berger, patrese, boutsen, alesi, alboreto, ..... how many race wins is that all together? Great time....
Mika Hakkinen too
@@monastario absolutely. He took 1 point in 1992 with lotus
My idol Senna. Always in my heart ♥️😢
...what for a sound!!!! today sch....!!!! E-Big SCH.....!!!!
Fantastic, thanks for sharing!
Tell me about it.F1 stopped existing as i knew it at the end of 97. As for things were warmer then and racing was at it's best... OF COURSE MAN!!! It's obvious to anybody who followed then and looks at things now.
Thanks for posting this. What a fantastic age for the sport. RIP Ayrton
Great document, the sounds of a childhood.
Oh, I miss this time and I didn't even was born
This is a Masterpiece!! Thank you so much for sharing this! 🇧🇷🏁♥️
Thank YOU
Why the hell do I have this on my suggestions only one year and half after it had been posted while my YT wall is polluted by stupid dumb videos suggestions ?
Senna 🇧🇷 saudades desse tempo!! Simply the best 👏👏👏
Thanks for sharing...when F1 cars driven by men (not children) and sounded like cars (not hairdryers)! 👍🏻
Peter Oxley Well said. The 80‘s and 90‘s were the best. Those were extraordinary and real drivers.
Why do you think we call the currents F1 drivers "children" but not those of that era... ?
69 FEL ...Because then the cars were so much more physical to drive and not easily driven by 17 year olds like now. Verstappen, Stroll, Norris, etc would not have got into F1 that young back then.
Die guten alten Zeiten. 😍😎😃
I was with Gachot in 1991 in Northeye prison.... He had it easy....used to spend his day playing his game boy.... what the press wrote about him was nearly all made up rubbish.
.wow what a great story! How did that happen?
Cheers
very interesting, i follow...
La vera formula 1
..Thanks for sharing!!
Shumi broke down 1st lap i think?
Senna was allready worried about his talents!!...
R.I.P LEGENDS
Schumi broke down first corner..
Yeah, Senna was robbed of his life and we were all robbed of the possibilities. Schumi , Senna and Hamilton were all cut from the same cloth.
0:40 Olha o Flávio Gomes!!! Hahahahah
I think it's very interesting that while you were filming the drivers and teammates walking down the steps, Schumacher who was practically unknown at the time is the 1st driver you pan the camera towards as he walks by. It's almost like you could sense you were watching greatness. Amazing video and thank you for sharing with the world of Formula 1 fans!
Thank you ! Schumacher was going for his 1st F1 GP and did the best Jordan team qualif that week-end so at that time many eyes were watching this new talent...
@@69fel32 Thank you for this precious record. Looking back it is funny why Schummy got this opportunity was shown on everybody’s T-shirt. Wow, already 30 years since
At the beginning of the footage we can see all the pilots in shirts of protest against the condemnation of Gachot by the British court. Doors open for Schumi! Great images!!
Didn't see this that way... great catch !
Excepcional!
It's understandable why Michael wasn't wearing a Gachot t-shirt.
AMAZING ❤ TODAY JUNE 2024❤😊
This video is gold friend 😉

V12 Age...when pilots had to have balls.
This is history... On this video- 14 titles- schumi, prost and senna
0:29 Plus Hakkinen's 2... 🤗
Yeah but I was not sure if it is Mika or JJ Lehto.. I think it was JJ.. They have different mouth.. And face is older.. See lehto on 0:59 s Lehto
But if it is Mika on 0:29s than of course 16 titles :)
@@filiplevacic6371 well, now that you mentioned it... I think it's JJ after all! 😁
However, Mika was driving his first season with Lotus so he was defo there...
nice to see the mental preparation. noways the never show this. Just remind eveybody that it is not just an easy job to do whatsoever..
Great footage. Especially the hairpin footage at the end. Brings tears to my eyes. Any more footage like this laying around. Please upload !
I would like but it's the only one I have... :-(
Cool video saw all of them at Silverstone that year the sound was unreal
Good times. we will never have another pilot as ninja as Ayrton.
Senna was the best ever, J. Clarck was the second, Schumacher is the last one of the podium of the GOATs...Hamilton is far behind this 3
why?
@@hollohullu9448 because it takes lots of talent to drive cars like this 3 did without the help of all the Technologies that Hamilton as got nowadays
@@hollohullu9448 its not just Hamilton, its all of the F1 pilots nowadays, nothing personal, for me Hamilton, Verstapen and Leclerc are the best pilots in the moment, Vettel is a huge disappointment
@@lotusesprit38 Hamilton gets less technology, modern F1 cars have 0 driving aids whereas senna and schumacher both drove in eras where driving aids were allowed
@@hollohullu9448 because it takes talent and balls to drive cars like this 3 did without all that technologies that nowadays the F1 pilots have!
For a life-long F1 fan, a homemade vid like this is priceless. THANKS for sharing!!!!!!!
Thank you !!
Gachot was in jail at the time
Wow the J191! Still one of the prettiest modern F1 cars. Thank you for the upload!
This is priceless footage.
The access in this video is amazing! A time machine back to a much cooler era, awesome.
Grande Nelson Piquet! Último ano dele na f1..saudades desse tricampeão.
Golden age! Thank you very much for sharing this video!
That was excellent, thanks for sharing
Really great footage! Thanks for posting.
A piece of F1 history...thank's a lot 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That's amazing 😍
F1 GOLDEN ERA, SPECIAL FROM US BRAZILIANS, NICE AND RARE 1991 FOOTAGE
Good memories! I always says that a camcorder with a good resolution, is the best cortex ( part of brain responsible by the memory ) that exists.
"Gachot, why?"
😄
Seems, Lewis's "black lives matter"-statement is not a first time, when F1 drivers giving support to some not-sporting case, which not anything to do with a motorsport.
If I remember right, Belgian f1-driver, Bernard Gachot fired from Jordan team, cause he get sentenced fine abuse a taxi driver etc.
Senna para sempre eterno campeão.
Why so many ‘Gatchot why?’ t-shirts? The guy punched a taxi driver at UK. Was that a way to support him as a driver?
Simply the Best!!! SENNA!!!🇧🇷
His limit was death!!!
The Legend
Best of all
Demigod
Senna 3 anni morto schumaca 22 morto vivo. Puareti ga senso
Why the fuck the thumbnail has a pic with the airbox reversed?
Is that the lead singer out of The human league at 47.? 😂😂😂
Senna the best
👍👍👍👍
This video is from 31.Januar 2000, Midnight! It’s not from 1991, look at the cameras tinestamp
The Gachot shirts the drivers are wearing here aren’t really talked about much now (if at all) when F1 folks look back at that weekend. It really does seem like Bertrand had support from the paddock in his case.
How money did you spend for a really great view like this? paddock access, Staying on the grid, Really near the drivers.. Okay that in the 90s were less "protected" than now but no so much to consent to everyone to go freely on the track and in the paddock
Fantastic footage. The drivers of that era were take no prisoner killers. They were not just happy to be there they wanted to beat their competitors no matter the cost.
Thank you
Awesome video! what an atmosphere! best F1 times. Today f1 lost her balls and fighting spirit.
Thank you !
Imagine getting this close to cars and drivers NOW. That would never happen.
Even at that time it was impossible... Have been there with a friend who's father was Belgian TV's Director at that time... it helped... ;-)
April 29, 2019 I find it sad that 39 people out of 111,811 views have disliked this footage.
Its better than a movie! Holy moly, best era
All drivers - elita are here!
Great videlo document!
Thank you !
Senna forever!!!!
Lots of Gachot shirts, was Gachot arrested?
amazing video, thank you
Morte a arena aceree desgrasiai
La gente vuole spettacolo
Great video, don't know how you got the access you did, don't think you would get that nowadays.
Interesting pic in the video's thumbnail showing the McLaren air intake plenum facing rearward. Must have been be so the intake sound didn't damage Senna's ears while they warmed up the engine with him sitting in the cockpit. Likely something he requested. Honda V12 must have been deafeningly loud sitting there even with ear plugs and helmet on.
