- P06 by ChaosX is Sonic 06 but on the PC and all fixed up & upgraded beyond belief.
A functioning spindash takes the gameplay to whole new heights, the better controls improve its feel tenfold, and graphics never looked so crisp.
What an insane project of much fun and games, it elevates this once upon a time buggy product, all the way up to superb status.
Sonic 06 has always had the potential to be great had it been finished. This proves it so far.

I like sonics voice lines in this one, it feels more like sonic is shocked by the chaos around him rather than him just stating the obvious like he did in the original 06
I still find that option where you can change his jump ball animation into the one from SA1 very cool.
ChaosX really goes above and beyond here.

Im glad we have ChaosX doing this amazing work with Sonic 06, i always wished for Sega to do remakes of old games that had potential but were poorly developed/rushed, but unfortunately they prefer to forget about the existence of those games
Same here, but Sega never does. They have a lot going for them, but neither the talent nor the vision for any of it no more. As for Sonic 06, for as much of a mess as it was, it had the potential to be the next big thing for the franchise had it been finished. Level design, abilities, play styles, it was all there, rough as it was and in need of an extra year or so in development, but the foundation was solid. Truly glad ChaosX gave it a shot, further developing its systems and all.
WHen I was a kid and didn't knew how much broken 06 was, THIS was the level that made me want to play this game so bad. When I found out how broken the game was (in more ways then one) I was... dissapointed, because MAN it looks so cool. EVen more with the soundtrack. It feels GOOD to see this level more playable and improved ^^
WIshed SEGA would remake 06... and no lie, remake as a Sonic Adventure 3, because we can't deny it is what it looks like haha Plus, would allow them to release with a Chao Garden. THIS would be a cool thing to brough back, alongside it.
Back when it was yet to be released, the hype was immense! And even when it came out, I was eager to give it a shot. I did and I had a good time, but I could tell it was broken beyond belief and clearly unfinished, which was a shame, the potential was there, but the game needed another year in development.
I'm so glad for this project! It's a bit of a dream come true and gives us a chance to see what could've been. As for Sega, the idea's cool, but I don't believe they have the team, the talent, nor the confidence to make anything Sonic worthwhile.
@@cd-rommasterclass19 Hey, SOnic Frontiers showed they still had potential. The game isn't perfect, but it showed they give a darn about the blue blur. It unfortunately didn't had enough time to be finished, but it still delivered a VERY good experience, and we still gonna get a third update with more story and playable characters. Depending on how things go from this game forward, there might still be hope for them to work on bigger SOnic projects. Who knows, maybe a legit Sonic 06 remake or something bigger? If not, we at least got the Project 06 Team giving 06 the justice it deserved ^^
If only they could get this running on consoles.

Sonic 06 should be released on the XBox1 and XBox Series X/S. 💯 With better finished graphics and everything. This looks really good.

It does the attention to detail in P06 is something else.
I don’t know wether if it’s just my laptop but I always have jittery frame rate and I’m sorry! But project 06 makes me rage quit more than retail 06! :(

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. It's just that the game is very demanding on the hardware and difficult to run at a stable framerate. An unstable framerate can affect the gameplay and thus hinder the player's performance.

is it easy to obtain S ranks in this game? cause I have seen that previously in Shadows gameplay the S rank was way to easy to obtain because of the combat combo bonuses, did they fix that?
It's been a long time since I've played this, but I don't remember it being hard at all, and this is still the latest update, as far as I know.
This fan game is on the PS4 version.
I got the same pc, but intel cpu. Reason why im here is because why not. still enjoyable to see others play videogames. If i remember correctly do you hit 100 fps 1080p max settings i think?
Thanks for checking! I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly Sonic P06 is locked at 60 fps. Would probably get higher frame rates if it wasn't.

I'm just playing this game. ChaosX is the one behind this incredible port. He's done wonders to Sonic 06.
ChaosX is the one making this, and he has already stated that he doesn't want to work as a game developer professionally, and that he actually hates when people go "SEGA, HIRE THIS MAN!!"
one thing i've wondered is since the lava worms from sonic 06 and the dark worms from shadow the hedgehog look similar could it be the mephilies is actually related to the black arms aliens from shadow the hedgehog?

I don't know, but, if I had to guess, probably unused lines that were found on the game's original disc.
