What a beautiful album! I've just bought a stockbook of used New Zealand stamps from ebay and it arrived last week, so we are starting out on our NZ stamp adventure at the same time! I haven't had time to research any of mine yet, but your video has started me thinking I will do it soon! Your mint stamps look gorgeous and I bet you can't wait to add to it! :)
i also collect NZ stamps..and i don't have as many but i have from 1978> MNH and they are just beautiful...i lived in NZ too. I also like Cook Islands.
Hi Jerry!!! I came to look at part 1 of the NZ stamps a second time before watching part 2. I really like to look through the NZ stamps and get to know them well. Somewhere my head lost me (or I lost my head). 😮🙃🙂I was dead sure I already commented here, but I cannot see anything! Anyway, I watched again and enjoyed the video again. Thanks! 🙂 I indeed like the 1956 Southland Centennial bird stamp very much! Beautiful in the two colours, and the bird on the stamp, the takahe (a flightless swamphen native to New Zealand) is very special as well. I like the album. Beautiful mint stamps which look very neat and a very neat and nice album as well!
I have a large collection of New Zealand, though I only collect up to KGV1. I find the main problem is there are huge variations in perf gauges and watermarks of the same stamp designs, especially of the earlier issues, and I gave up trying to sort them as it would have taken a lifetime. Happy collecting to you.
Thanks for your reply. Perfs and watermarks can be a problem, also different shades but for me i enjoy learning how to identify them even if I don't always get it right😊
Well, since my previous comment (the one I thought I wrote and which somehow did not happen) "vanished" I will leave more than one to compensate. 🙂 😉 I just started to work seriously with my New Zealand stamps and at some stage I will start to have some duplicates at hand. At that stage we must sit together and see if you still have gaps which I may possibly be able to help you with. I will let you know when I get there. 🙂
Hi Charnie. I am glad you liked the video, perhaps I can help you out with your gaps too so we can chat when you get to that stage, in the meantime, have fun with your collection.
