It isn't licensed by 'hbar' - it's licensed by HEDERA.
Hedera = the company
Hashgraph = the consensus mechanism
HBAR = the token that runs it all

HBAR is not a token also its not a coin.I mean, things that you call '' token'' needs to be under a ecosystem like SOL-unq,wab or ETH-shib. hedera has got completely different block and working map from block chain then I cant call it as a coin as well. I mean it will be nothing or revolution.I Can't imagine that one day 100+ tokens under. using hasgraph tech. it will be moon.

8:55 Hedera is more decentralized than Bitcoin. Unlike Bitcoin, Hedera is distributed geographically.
Bitcoin is considered more decentralised in a sense that even you (an individual) can become a node operator. The same is not true for Hedera.

Hedera is already decentralized. The Algorithm and the governance. It’s also more secure and faster as has more transactions than any other crypto.

Max what are your current thoughts about this project? To me it seems like the only one that can dethrone ETH, maybe even BTC. Tech seems solid and promising. Good team. They hit goals consistently. They're aware of their lack of marketing and plan to go all out in 2022. This seems like an actual sleeping giant, at least on paper.

Because its a freaking scam lol. Projects like Hbar, are what will make projects like XMR rise. people are sick of losing control and freedom. Hbar does not represent the vision of Satoshi Nakamoto.
So it’s decentralized in the sense that every node has a copy of the ledger, but it’s not decentralized because the hedera hashgraph technology is patented and owned by those two guys.
I don’t know what to think about that.

Forgive me if i'm missing the obvious, but how does this have any comparative advantage to blockchain / how is it different? From what you've explained, the mechanics and indeed the applications of hashgraph sounds identical to decentralised ledger technology and therefore many other crypto assets...someone please enlighten me! Just sounds like another blockchain technology that doesn't really add anything to the ecosystem as far as I'm concerned
It solves the Trilemma.
It’s the fastest tech - scaled down, it offers 10K TPS. Scaled up with 100% node-operation and sharding, it has an infinite TPS, but for starters, lets just say millions of TPS will be possible by 2025+.
Long term, it’s also the cheapest and most consistent in cost, since it is denominated in USD. The most basic transaction is $.0001.
It is the ONLY DLT that offers the highest possible level of security. - asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance or aBFT. The US Federal Reserve bank will be using this tech for their trust layer to settle payments with their upcoming USD coin.
Lastly, their governance model is FAR SUPERIOR to anything else in the DLT space and because it cannot be forked, and also its vastly superior performance, corporations are opting into this tech over the ETH and ADA platforms.

Sorry 4:00 but not really clear explanation. Why if Alice sent a message to Dave and HBAR draws 2 circles on Dave line and Alice's line as well? and why after Dave sent a message to Bob and same time HBAR draws one more circle as sending a message from Alice to Gina? and why messages are going in the same periods of time and not randomly? What will happen if nodes will have different time zones or incorrect machine times? It seems like an idealistic scenario. Not real.

We' d have to see how the market plays out for the next 3years. Maybe adopters for business use decide they want projects with more nodes than less. Maybe it ends up not being a relevant part of their decision
