A lot of people use Solana, hence it's robust ecosystem. By comparison Hedera is a ghost town with enormous inflation and a subsidized main use case (Atma)

I try to show as many of your videos as I can to my wife to convince her to let me invest more in HBAR, as I see it being used everywhere in the future, whether the end user knows it or not. I only have 50,000 but I am trying to accumulate as many as I can afford to buy, and hope it's enough to make a difference in my life. Hi max, I enjoy your videos. I have a question - do you think Hedera will every start charging and making profit off their technology, and also do you think they would ever IPO as a company?
The IPO is an interesting question I’ll ask next time I’m interviewing someone at Hedera. They already charge for transactions and are on route to making a profit.

Great review on Hedera.... However the price action and rationale is highly speculative and not really a good indicator. The ATH of cryptos are dependent on so many things.....
Agreed and most of them at the moment are nonsense. Time is very much on Hedera’s side.
Periodically there are charts that show what it takes to make the top % of holders. For example not so long ago I saw a claim that 180,000 tokens puts a holder in the top 10% and just over 1MM puts one in the top 1% of holders. Is there any change to that? I remember one time that Max and co are Hbar whales with 30MM amongst them. I have been doing a lot of DCAing but not able to hit the 1% milestone yet. Any link to latest leaderboard?

You’re not late by any stretch but when you buy is up to you. What I would say is that if you buy now at 9cent the down side is it could drop back to circa 2cent a potential downside of just over 400%. However it could go to $1 and you miss it waiting, a potential downside (up) of over 1100% to infinite if it keeps rising.

Right? Supply will soon be 5x higher than it was at ATH. Other variables may out weigh inflations influence, or they may not... But it will certainly factor in to token price.
Max is a good guy but I feel he really doesn't understand how this can effect price action going forward in the short to medium term. His best content is fundamentals, not technical.

It's impossible to say with any certainly. Hedera has increased it's circulating supply by 400%, which means it's going to take a lot more appreciation pressure to reach ATH. It's possible, but absolutely not guaranteed.
Some will insist that HBAR is going to zero and others say HBAR will hit $1+. In reality somewhere in between is more probable...but again, nobody knows and your guess is as good as anybody else's.
I believe that most of those projects are meme coins and projects that pump and dump never to seen again. Hedera and projects like it that are here to stay with real utility will see at least their ATHs again.

Considering Hedera still doesn't have a single paying customer that produces meaningful transaction volume I'll be absolutely amazed if HBAR gets back to 40 cents. A dollar isn't happing. Not this bull run.

You’re now going to reply saying I meant circulating supply but what’s the difference and if there is one then you have to discount the Hbar that isn’t in circulating supply that you will think is. What about the Hbar that is lost forever? What about the Hbar that has been released but can’t be spent as part of a grant agreement, I know of one where they can’t sell the Hbar over a 3 year period and another (over 50m Hbar they can’t spend over a 5 year period). What about my Hbar? There are millions there that aren’t in circulation under $5 please don’t count them.
The answer is you can never know the true circulating supply with any meaningful accuracy and when Doge has triple the circulating supply of the total number of Hbar to ever exist and a similar price trying to, makes the person look a fool to anyone with any knowledge of crypto tokenomics.

Yes, I'm sure a percentage of the the new tokens will be *temporarily* taken out of circulation but unless you have any hard data snowing that the overwhelming majority of the new tokens are locked up then it's reasonable to assume that only a fraction are which means such gross inflation will still be the FAR greater variable. If you inflate by 400%, and half (a generous assumption on my part) are locked up, then the token still experiences 200% inflation.
By your logic the outrageous inflation of the US dollar doesn't matter and is insignificant because a percentage of it is, and always has been, locked up despite said inflation, yet that hasn't stopped the dollar from losing 99% of it's value. Imagine if the Fed announced the following. "We just quadrupled the amount of US dollars in existence via printing, but don't worry, it won't matter because an undetermined percentage might* be temporarily locked up". It would badly depreciate the dollar and you know it.
Had you said "there's outrageous inflation, but I feel it's mitigated by X, Y or Z" you could pretend you're being impartial, but in not even mentioning it you are being misleading regardless of the mental gymnastics you want to play to pretend otherwise.

You say Doge has the same price as Hedera despite inflation, when the reality is Doge would have a FAR higher price than Hedera if it weren't for Doge's inflation. It's a mathematical certainty that Doge would have a higher price if it weren't for inflation because that's how supply and demand works. Stop pretending Doge is immune to inflation. It's not. Inflation hit Doge just as hard as it's hitting Hedera...its just that the many other factor like Hype, transaction revenue, community vibrance etc were enough to push the price to where it did. Doge absolutely isn't this example of success despite inflation that you're making it out to be.

I haven’t traded in hbar because of the continued scheduled dump of new supply diluting the market. Hedera at least needs to release of lock up the tokens before I go all in. I think it’ll go up despite this, just not nearly as much as others which is why I’m in elsewhere.

@@atitslan4776Solana isn't specifically designed for enterprise use and doesn't necessarily need it to continue out pacing Hedera, SOL's ecosystem is far more vibrant, enjoys far, far greater adoption and produces far more revenue despite the lack of enterprise infrastructure.
Hedera, on the other hand, remains a protocol of largely unrealized potential with 99% of her transactions coming from a single use case (Atma) that operates on a grant... Meaning they don't pay for their HBAR on the open market. Hopefully someday this will change but so far it's been year after year of "some day", "in the pipeline" and "big things coming"

they dumped the heck out of it changing their release schedule with no concern for their earlier holders and supporters. the market price is not undervalued. it is what the market sees it as - all the dumping and it’s mind boggling each youtuber supporting hbar has supported hedera totally fail to account for what it’s gonna take to even reach it ATH. it’s a terrible situation for those who have been HODLers. Solana was a gold investment in past bull run and has yielded 9 x yield in current. it’s crazy how HBAR community remains blinded that project superiority is not the same as good hbar tokonomics. it will grow like a stick not a crypto coin.
