I have the Greenworks, it’s a great machine but the cord is my only beef with using this machine. Why has no company integrated the improved battery technology available to have a truly go anywhere machine that can rival the gas powered machines like bluebird?
Most of the sun joe offerings rate as scarifiers in my book - a dethatcher should have definite depth contol [nothing spring loaded], and not too narrowly spaced as a power rake tends to be. That last 3/8" or so should be left alone: trying to remove every bit of thatch down to the dirt risks tearing out half the lawn or worse.
Doug Yankunas my yard is half the size of your lawn. I didn’t have any overheating problems. I’m not sure if you would. If it overheats my suggestion is take a 30minute-1 hour break and go back to work to finish.
CO2 emissions would actually be beneficial to your lawn and the planet. CO2 is a plant fertilizer. Man made CO2 make up .015% of all the CO2 that the planet produces. CO2 makes up just 1/3 of all green house gases.
You mention lack of carbon emissions from the electric powered items. What testing equipment did you use to quantify this statement? 'Cos I'm calling BS to your claim. I don't doubt that the gas powered items do give off carbon emissions, I just want to put you to task: If you can't prove it, don't say it.
Lets look at the bigger picture and see how electricity is produced in the US. According to the EPA, 65% of our electricity is generated by BURNING fossil fuels. So yes, electric power tools attribute to carbon emissions.
Who cares? Why don’t you guys go out and watch a ball game or something instead of getting wrapped up into useless conversations that don’t amount to a hill of beans.
I have the Greenworks, AWESOME little machine!
Al Gorel hahahahhahahahah what did you just say
So basically this was a promo for Sunjo brand?
Yeah, I would just love to hear where you think electricity comes from? Rainbows and unicorn farts?
Solar, Wind, Hydro?
Ha, Ha! Everything is m.j made of oil even these so called environmentally mower's.
From 30 grand worth of solar panels on the roof !
The first one wasn’t even a thatcher.......
Right! It waa a lawnmower.
Narration by CDR Data from Star Trek.
What the hay? You talk about a Sunjoe de thatcher, then show a Sunjoe lawn mower!

The Puppy Channel the bluebird runs 1300 to 1500 new i still don’t think it will be as expensive as that unit.
What's wrong with the cord?
Because that battery will double the price of the machine and therefore making gas detatcher a more affordable solution
Carbon is not toxic. Hydrocarbons may be toxic CO is toxic. C is not toxic😉
News flash! Lawn mowers are not dethatchers! Your credibility went right down the drain with the first piece of equipment you reviewed.

Carbon emissions, if you are talking about CO2 the planet and deserts are greening from the increase in CO2.
