  • Disassembly of Mercedes Push to start shift Knob with button. Fairly easy job to do! Specially if you are transferring the internals of one knob to the other.

    Mine is not working anymore after I did some knocking on the gear lever. Previously my gear stuck on P because of that plastic latch (forgot what it is called) to release it was broken. So the gear lever need to be knocked to release it. I put a wiping cloth on the lever when knocking it. But, somehow bits of the cloth went inside the holes inside the lever. I managed to pull it out but after that my Push Start function didn't work. So, I just have to use keys then. My keyless door lock/unlock still working though

    what would be the cause of a recessed (drop down push button)...the photos of the car i'm about to get look like the button is dropped down 1/2" or so

    Why not just use the whole new knob?

      In my case, I couldn’t find a push start knob that was black. And the ones I found had damaged pins. I thought this would help someone going through the same thing as me 😊

      @@NorVackif I have damaged pins and I wanted to get new pins. What gauge do you think these are and where should I get them? They look like plain ol soder wire
