The 70's was when music was music, with real instruments & real vocals with NO AUTO-TUNE!!! Besides "Baby Come Back" maybe we should be singing "Music Come Back!!!"
Just that unbelievable sound we all loved in the 70s. It is truly a shame that this was their only super hit, but boy oh boy, it was (and still is) special.
That was a classic #1 Pop song by Player with a funny feel and great lead vocals by Peter Beckett and harmony by the group! Great instrumentation, climaxed with Beckett's amazing guitar solo!
The guy playing bass with the red shirt is RON MOSS who in the 80's played the character RIDGE FORRESTER in the famous SOAPIE called THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
THE GROUP AMBROSIA, BEEGEES, AND MANY MORE THATS ALL MY GENERATION OF MUSIC AND IT CAN BE YOURS TOO LOVE TO SEE YOUNGER PEOPLE LOVING THE 70S ERA OF MUSIC WAS THE BEST GROWING UP LISTENING TO THESE AWESOME GROUPS GODBLESS ENJOY HAVE FUN WE DID AND STILL DO
Takes me back to my youth. That was a big hit back in the day. Check out Ambrosia "Your The Only Woman", "How Much I Feel", and "Biggest Part of Me". Great love songs.
Miss. I loved your reaction to Player. I loved that song also - for many reasons. That song came out in 1977, and I retired from the U.S. Air Force that year, after 20 years. I got divorced that year - the military has a tendency of doing that to families. Lots of separations. But, in 1977 my wonderful Son was 15 years old. A really good young man. He finished HS, and he finished College, and he also retired from the Air Force with 24 years of service. He's now a Grandfather. Wow. All of that said, I loved Player and this song. Like I said, many memories. Thanks for playing it. I love your channel. You, Miss, are a wonderful young woman.,
Back then all I had was a record player and a 45 record to play. I played this song so much i actually had to purchase the record 5 different times and had to replace the phonograph needle twice. That is a lot, a lot of playing.
A band called Starbuck from the same time frame released a song called Moon Light Feels Right It hit the charts at the same time, it's worth the listen
The classic cool sounds of the 1970's has a magic all it's own, and it is exemplified in this song very well. Too bad we don't hear this style anymore.
Just imagine that the music that you are reacting to was just common everyday music that was on the radio Without a doubt my generation was blessed with phenomenal and wonderful artists that had incredible talent over such a wide spectrum you could turn on the radio and listen to Crosby stills Nash and then Marvin Gaye and then Elton John and then The Bee Gees and then REO Speed wagon and then Jimmie Hendrix etc etc and know the words to all of their songs pretty cool thanks for your videos Semper Fidelis The Gunny
70's "Soft Rock". This is a deep rabbit hole with some wonderful discoveries you'll find along the way. 10 CC, Al Stewart, Jerry Rafferty, Ambrosia, Bread, Atlanta Rhythm Section..... You're going to have material for a LONG time!!
I am so grateful I got to live through and experience all of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. I know I’m old now but I wouldn’t trade it. I do feel bad for the younger generations. I feel like they missed out.
One of the smoothest bands ever. People used to think this song was by Hall and Oats because it sounded so similar to southing they would do. In fact, Daryl Hall would joke to the band that this was he most requested song from fans, lol even though he didn't do the song! Of course the guys in Player probably thought that was the ultimate compliment to them that people would get them mixed up with a super star group like Hall and Oats.
First time here. Glad to see you smile and giggle. First minute looked like you were muggin and somebody was going to get their arse handed to them! Like what you did here.
Surprised this band was not so much bigger. Those three guys were so handsome and sang great songs. If they were in the MTV era they would have been huge.
they were pretty big . their one song is a classic played on the radio and satellite formats everyday 45 years after it was recorded ...you need more than one hit song to big a huge enduring household name musical act...good looks don't make up for lack of hit songs ...
Are you aware the bass player for this band (in the orange shirt) is Ron Moss who played Ridge Forrester for many many years on the soap opera "Bold and the Beautiful"???
I do like "Amanda" by Boston that someone mentioned. 2 other beautiful ballads by Boston are "Livin' for You" - very underrated but a top-tier love song, and "Man I'll Never Be" - which is a great song.
If you look very carefully, the Guy in The Orange Shirt is Ronn Moss who played Ridge Forrester #1 on The Bold & The Beautiful from 1987-2002. This Song next to How Much I Feel by Ambrosia and Sara Smile by Hall & Oates were some of the very few Songs by a White Act to be played on a Black Radio Station in Ohio.
Love your reactions. May I suggest Peabo Bryson - Can you stop the rain. Peabo is one of the best male singers of all time. Also Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright -With you I'm born again. One of the most perfect duets ever recorded. Thank you for what you do.
If I'm not mistaken Dariyl Hall and John Oates wrote this song and gave it to them to record..... Great song.... You can almost picture Hall &Oates singing it...
I’m so glad that you decided to do this one… I still really think that you should do same old Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg. If you want to talk about a song to hit your feelers on every level there, you have it. Keep up the awesome stuff. I love this channel.!!!
'Baby Come Back' has an easy lope, recorded with clean precision. "There was something in everything about you" The lyrics say I care, yet the music says actually I don’t care at all. It’s a weirdly compelling combination.
This also was during times when I had hard times. Great song. I grew up during the day when music and words meant alot. I also did some karaoke and sang everything from the Carpenters to Anita Baker to Vanessa Williams, I hope everyone loves music as much as me, that's what keeps me young. Your such an inspiration to showcase all artists. THANK YOU!
GREAT #1 song from Player.♥️ Often called a one hit wonder, but Player followed this song up with another Top Ten Hit..This Time I'm ln It For Love. 🎼🎵🎶🇨🇦
Now do you understand why I want to go back to my life in the 70's (even if just for a while) and bring you with me?! We would have my mom drop us of at the skating rink and check out the boys before the "couples skate" songs were announced, LOL 🤣 - Joni
Great song!! And great reaction :) Another good one I would recommend is "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" by Elvin Bishop, specifically the live version from the Midnight Special, which has Mickey Thomas singing it and he nails it.
The 70's was when music was music, with real instruments & real vocals with NO AUTO-TUNE!!! Besides "Baby Come Back" maybe we should be singing "Music Come Back!!!"
Amen!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
🤪🥴😂
Just that unbelievable sound we all loved in the 70s. It is truly a shame that this was their only super hit, but boy oh boy, it was (and still is) special.
Their other fairly big hit was “This time I’m in it for Love”!
That was a classic #1 Pop song by Player with a funny feel and great lead vocals by Peter Beckett and harmony by the group! Great instrumentation, climaxed with Beckett's amazing guitar solo!
the 70s. Was a great time to be alive. No internet, no cell phones, and the music was amazing.
One of the best from the 70s...lived it, loved the era....
To me this was one of the best songs ever. All good, great singing, lyrics.
Damn that harmonizing. Jeeeezzzz. Takes me back to the 70's.
The guy playing bass with the red shirt is RON MOSS who in the 80's played the character RIDGE FORRESTER in the famous SOAPIE called THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
Yes, he played that part for 25 years, till 2012
I listen to it 100 times, and still get goosebumps. The days of my youth, how I miss that sound.
Biggest part of me is sensational!
Ambrosia, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Dr. Hook, ELO, Second Chapter of Acts, all had great vocals.
Excellent song. #1 song. ❤
This is one of the greatest classic songs that will live forever in the hearts of gallant men.
Oh man ! That sweet 70’s soulful groove - this was a jam.
Miss. I loved your reaction to Player. I loved that song also - for many reasons. That song came out in 1977, and I retired from the U.S. Air Force that year, after 20 years. One of the 70's greatest pop song, no doubt. This song was ALWAYS on the radio back then.
There is something about seeing someone enjoying music from my youth
I miss the 70's. The best years of my life. The music taught me how to love a woman. All the instructions you need for love.
You would have loved living and partying in the 70’s…..the best decade ever.Best music.Best drugs.Best times.
Back then all I had was a record player and a 45 record to play. I played this song so much i actually had to purchase the record 5 different times and had to replace the phonograph needle twice. That is a lot, a lot of playing.
One of the greatest songs of the 70's.
Without a doubt!!!
*of all-time.
Such a great tune. Just put this on repeat.
Great to see young lady listening to great oldies!!
Well said well bloody said for real
A band called Starbuck from the same time frame released a song called Moon Light Feels Right
It hit the charts at the same time, it's worth the listen
"Amanda" by Boston is an excellent song that I think you will enjoy.
All Boston songs are great.
Another one of those iconic and unforgettable songs of the 70's
The classic cool sounds of the 1970's has a magic all it's own, and it is exemplified in this song very well. Too bad we don't hear this style anymore.
You need to check out the band "Ambrosia" and the song "You're The Biggest Part Of Me".
This classic has an incredible vibe to it, and the vocals are phenomenal.
I can’t help but to think more and more that 1965-1980 was the best 15 years for contemporary music.
Just imagine that the music that you are reacting to was just common everyday music that was on the radio
Without a doubt my generation was blessed with phenomenal and wonderful artists that had incredible talent over such a wide spectrum you could turn on the radio and listen to Crosby stills Nash and then Marvin Gaye and then Elton John and then The Bee Gees and then REO Speed wagon and then Jimmie Hendrix etc etc and know the words to all of their songs pretty cool thanks for your videos

Please react to " How much I
feel " or " you're the biggest part of me " by Ambrosia . Beautiful songs !
I second this, you will love Ambrosia

I was just going to suggest that and saw your comment right at the top. I agree.
The guy playing Bass was Ridge Forrester on The Bold and The Beautiful
Lol.... I was in high school, and yes, we respected our women
I remember when this song came out. It's been one of my favorites since!!!
Been around for 8 decades now and I would pick the 70's to go back to.
I'm with you, Bro!

I'd like to hang out and listen to my Detroit old town Motown 60's and 70's... Just play that funky music!
Love your reactions. May I suggest Peabo Bryson - Can you stop the rain. Peabo is one of the best male singers of all time. Also Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright -With you I'm born again. One of the most perfect duets ever recorded. Thank you for what you do.

She actually did that one already and didn't really love it. I was surprised.
'Baby Come Back' has an easy lope, recorded with clean precision.
"There was something in everything about you"
The lyrics say I care, yet the music says actually I don’t care at all.
It’s a weirdly compelling combination.

Yes I totally agree with you I really believe that we were blessed to have experienced those days 🤔
Great tune right? Now you know what we grew up with and why we adored our music. ;-)
I've had that song in my collection for a very long time, right next to "Sexy Eyes" by Dr Hook. Great song.
Have a amazing day.
