They're also a bit more compact so gunfire when you hit the hard parts can make it even harder, where Dishong's spawns are more spread out so shooting in one area doesn't always trigger another. Infestations always take things to another level too.

lol they changed the aggression of the zombies and their attack. They're not sluggish and slow like they once were. I think this changed in Alpha 20, sucks but that's what they do now. It use to be if you hit them it stopped their hit, doesn't anymore. Or maybe that's a bug?

The zombies arms are now the same length as the spear (2.4 blocks). It's absurd, but TFP didn't want players to be able to use their weapon reach to keep zombies at bay with impunity. I believe Khaine has a mod that reduces it back to the original value. Josh keeps calling them "phantom hits", but the zombies just have much longer reach now.

The trick with Dee-Dee playing hide and seek peek-a-boo is to keep facing in one direction for a few seconds and then turn towards her after she's found a spot to settle in.
I’m definitely sad to see this series ending after tomorrow but I will admit, I miss the guns 😂 hoping since he managed 56 days with batons only, he’ll use that new Izzy mod for weapons in the next series. Go from zero weapons to ALLLLLLLL the weapons 😍💜
You can roll with 4 turrets. Only two will shoot, but once they run out of ammo, the other ones will start and you can reload with no break in fire. Good for horde nights.
wow you can deffo feel the difference from it not being even just a normal tier 5 quest. I guess all the trader quests are good for is adding a mess of zombies on top for garbage loot by the end haha
Was Dishong Tower ever the hardest? I think Hospital is longer and the end is just as bad. Woodle is afraid of Crack-A-Book HQ but I think its easier than Dishong. 7th Army Base is bad. Tons of zombies towards the end. The Blue whatever army base is worse. Less zombies but they send a bunch of soldiers running when you hit the volume triggers. Super annoying. Less drudgery but more dangerous. Red Mesa... long. Sort of dangerous. The end is just like a toothpaste tube filled with zombies squirting at you. Though Minotaur Theater is an even worse version of that. Grover Highschool starts strong but once you break the roof its normal for a T5. Grover is bad, Minotaur is worse. The worse I suppose.
Dishong Tower is tough BECAUSE it takes so long. It's more of an endurance slog than huge numbers of zombies. If you prepare and bring lots of ammo and supplies, Dishong Tower is a cakewalk, abeit a long cakewalk. Of course, he's also comparing it to Infested Clear jobs at Grover High and Corrections, so it is still apples to oranges.....

Then Red Mesa is almost a 3 day job. Dishong is the template for the really long jobs, but its easier than the ones that came later. Heck, 7th is super long just because of all the outlying buildings.
I just don’t get why you don’t put a turret on the other side of the door pointing towards the door so then you go through the door put the turret down close the door and come out and then just let it shoot towards you.
not sure but I suspect thoes phantom hits your getting nailed with are from your turrets. You werent getting them before you added them. I suspect its then the turrets fire at a Zombie its a "Target area" thats just big enough to hit ANY zombie. So the "Hit box" on say Arlene is sized for a Demo and if your in the box before Alrene is... you get hit. Just a speculation
Could possibly test it by dropping a smaller zombie with the AI off. stand near them with a switch close enough for you to activate. the switch opens a garage door that exposes a turret. then you just moonwalk infront of the zombie to see if you get hit.
He was getting them. They aren't "phantom" hits. TFP increased the zombies reach WAY further than it used to be, to compensate for the reach of some of the melee weapons......because they didn't like the reality that you could keep a zombie at a distance and never get hit while hitting it. So they upped the reach on the zombies to around 2.4 blocks range. Absurd, yes. But evidently they forgot to update the distance at which they start the animation of the attack, so it looks like they hit you, THEN start their swing. Junk Turrets will stop firing if you get between them and block their target. Which is why charging in front of them is pretty dumb. If you jump in front just as it fires, it IS possible to get hit, but its very rare......unless you are constantly jumping back and forth to swing at a big group of zombies like a muppet.......
Ya the phantom hits, and getting abrasions everytime a zombie sniffs in my direction, despite having the perks, are the reasons i dropped the game for a bit.
Dishong and Higashi are bastards with infestations, but I think Army Post #7 and Corrections have them beat, I will say that Grocmver High is hard with a infestation but I think the others are harder.

Weird comment but does anyone know what is going on with these bots that comment the weirdest stuff? I've seen them popping up more and more. They comment right when the video drops.
Turrets suck. They fire slow, react slow, and do little damage. They basically are there to waste resources on ammo and inventory slots. You were not doing an infestation or even a fetch and clear so the difficulty level was much lower than normal. You were playing the POI on easy mode and did not need the turrets... or the nerd tats either. If this was an infestation it would have had likely 4x the zombies.
The turrets don't suck, but he certainly doesn't know how to use them properly. And if they are firing slow, you don't have them properly slotted or positioned. Too many try to use them as long-range snipers instead of proper short-range crossfires that the baton and choke point keeps them stuck inside. Sure, they're not going to take zombies down as fast as an M60 or an AutoShotgun, but their ammo is WAY cheaper to craft. Though I'll agree with the rest.....even a regular Fetch & Clear on Dishong would have had more spawns. He did it on easy mode, then tries to compare it with full Infested Clear missions in the other T5 POIs.
@@joeschmoe7324 I HATE the sledge. It is so slow and burns so much stamina. I have to do all sorts of crap to get stamina and stamina regeneration up... and that is a pain. And it is still crazy slow. Not my style at all. I do use hatches on my bases though. They are the easiest to work with.
@@heliumphoenix ANY gun does far more damage and uses less ammo... literally any. I like the pistol or shotgun, but the others are fine to depending on the build. The turrets are horrible. Think a single shotgun round will do the damage of probably 10 shots from the turret. The only time I used them was during horde night to guard the roof.
No, part of the problem of his play style is that he steps in front of the juncture and anytime there is a friendly entity in front of them, they shut off.

Why are you calling these turrets "junk turrets"? Junk turrets are supposed to shoot nearly anything, including ashtray's and baseballs. These turrets shoot specific ammunition, so please give them the credit they deserve...
They are now called "Robotic Turrets", but if you search your crafting list for "junk" they pop up along with their ammo.....as a left-over from when they were still called Junk Turrets.

Izzy mod is absolutely amazing. Cant play without it anymore since the vanilla guns just look bad or straight up wrong.
im using izzys gun pack and i love it there is so much more variety and they are much more devastating than vanilla guns.
Splints and Casts cure sprains instantly. No reason to worry about the splints if you have the casts right there in the drones inventory.
Terry The Tripod can have his way with the hole in the door.
Try using 4 Terry's on horde night..only two at a time can run but you can be reloading 2 and the others will take up the slack while your reloading.
The reason int moves slower as stamina is partially replaced by prep time. Fight on zombie batman.

You didn't do Dishon with Infested though... you can't say it's easier when you went into it not the same as the others.

CaB is pretty bad in the wasteland with high game stage, all the radiated bikers are just so freakishly tanky and hit like cement trucks.

Doing a hatch choke sledge will be as useful or More so by hitting zeds in the azz than an ammo dump.
