The GameCube I feel like is a rarity among Nintendo consoles, it was the only modern console that could in some ways compete with the competition’s hardware. It was a relatively powerful Nintendo console held back mostly by the disc format. It’s definitely an underrated console.
Someone really should make this a fangame. You control one of thoses Mario's and try to push the other 127 out of the stage, and if you're not controlling a Mario you move the stage around. Or even it can be an online multiplayer game where 128 players control the Mario's and one control the stage. It could be so fun

Pretty sure it is simply 128 because Gamecube, like PS1 and Dreamcast, was a 128-bit system.
All consoles were 32bit operations, 128 and 64 were marketing stunts....well SOME 64bit op were used sometimes but the bulk of it was always 32bits
