    So uplifting and refreshing.Romaine
🥬 Was great. Boston Bibb. Swiss chard, red and green. Scallions and garlic, onions.
The cukes, squash and Zucchini flopped.
    Spotted leaves.
    Many flowers that withered.
    Cherry tomatoes are slow.
    Little daily blessings
    Your honesty is deeply appreciated.

Thank you for the tour of the garden. As a chef, looking at the garden filled me with ideas to cook. I live in an apartment so I have very little space to grow such pretty vegetables . I know it's a lot of steps for you, but you are blessed.

I've been watching your channel for a bit and am thoroughly enjoying it. As I write this it is December 28, 2020 and I've just put more wood in our woodstove as I watch the snowflakes go drifting lazily by the window. I live in Canada and I love the snow. I was in Italy about 35 years ago and to this day I still love it as well. I've always loved everything Italian....where I grew up there was a large Italian influence. When I was in Italy I never forgot the food, the passion and the beautiful countryside. My only problem would be the heat and humidity but what the heck, there are worse things in life. Stay safe everyone.

Your garden is Amazing. Escarole is the English for Scarola. New York Italians (me) really love it. We saute it in garlic and olive oil, Makes Escarole & Bean Saou or Zuppa Maritata which we Italian-Americans call Italian Wedding Soup, made by cooking a whole Chicken, making the broth. You take the chicken out of the pot after it's cooked, pull the meat off the bones and put back in the broth. Little Meatballs are cooked in the broth, and then the Ecarole goes in at the end, cooing for a few minutes, and then the soup is done. Carrots and onion in the soup as well. Caiom Daniel NY NY

While you were outside of the gate. 😄 Lovely garden. It's lovely to have a garden and grow plants, food.I very much like to have barries in the garden, like blackcurrant.I will try and grow that Toscan kale since it was the one I could find seeds for.All I hear is kale, kale, kale when there's talk of healthy eating.

Oooh, curly kale and fennel, I love them together! I saute sliced fennel in olive oil until it is caramelised and yummy,. Have a good big handful of kale torn into strips ready. Slosh some verjuice onto the fennel (I imagine white wine will do instead!) . Throw the kale in quickly, put the saucepan lid on, turn the heat off and let the verjuice/wine steam work its magic for 3-4 minutes. Nom!

Sunday morning, coffee, and Nicki Positano for viewing. I enjoyed the tour of the gardens. The cabbage plants are beautiful. I learned something new about storing potatoes. I always enjoy seeing the chickens and Holly and all of the cats, including Not-My-Cat. The lunch area at the cemetery looks so cozy for dining. The scene of Carlo walking home at twilight is like a painting. Thank you so much for all. Take care.🙂

My fascination to try and grow Bougainvillea in NZ in colder climate was unsuccessful for many years , but I never gave up and I now have two bougainvillea growing successfully framing a upstairs terrace . With lots of flowers this year , frost cloth saved them from being expired. But also I grew them with other climbers which helped to protect them from cold weather, being I live in the South Island where temps are much colder . Lovely vegetable garden, so wonderful to pick fresh every day .

I have time off work until 4th January and would happily spend it binge-watching your videos . . . they are wonderful, so beautifully-made and with such a modest touch. You deserve many more subscribers as your videos are so organic, and such a pleasure to watch.
Santorini also has that houses-tumbling-down-to-the-sea quality to its architecture, and in high season is as touristy as Positano but it is very beautiful and sunsets there are also breathtakingly beautiful.

Thankyou for showing us around your winter garden. Of course in Australia we are going into summer now but your garden and trips to Italy have definitely inspired our Mediterranean style back garden. Every year we are growing more food and I watch carefully what shape your fruit trees are in and how the tomatoes are tied and try and creat a piece of the Mediterranean here in Melbourne. Like the Amalfi Coast we have more mild winters and every summer we usually get a few days up around 40 degrees. Rarely do we get a frost and never snow and are a few minutes walk to the bay (on flat ground) no cliffs here. we are on pure sand though so we really have to improve our soil to grow our veggies as it just disappears straight through the sand. Thankyou to you and Carlo for the garden inspiration.

It is so wonderful that you all are able to continue your gardening season year around. My husband is an avid gardener... and he's very good at it... and has just built himself a greenhouse off the side of one of our out-buildings. He can grow cold crops in there during the winter months without major concern of stuff becoming frozen... as well as being able to use this for starting his seeds for the spring and summer plantings... (thankful to have my bay window back that is in our home)!! Your tour was wonderful... thank you Nicki! Always love to see you and Carlo together... always. That's what love is for. :)

Dichondra used to be wildly popular here along the west coast in the 50’s and 60’s. Mostly older homeowners who wanted to stop working so hard mowing the traditional lawn but still wanted something green and easily maintained. It looks neat and tidy. Not great for lots of foot traffic or children playing on it.

This is a really interesting video for me, as I'm planning to visit the Positano/Naples/Capri area next year but also because there is something familiar about the plants you are growing, and the timings. This never used to be the case in the UK, but here on the coast things are changing fast, winter vegetables like lettuce and kale, and cabbage and broccoli are becoming quite normal, but also things like figs, some citrus and other fruits are now starting to be grown outdoors here by daring individuals. It's really great to see this garden looking good and productive in winter!

  • @pameehanson3866

Oh boy to have gardens year around would be wonderful. I thought how can you eat that much but glad to know that it's for family and nothing goes to waste. Nothing tests better than fresh produce from the garden. My favorite is new tiny potatoes with early peas creamed together. I also have discovered Kale and it is a bitter green but I love the taste. Thanks for sharing you gardens.

Great tour! Thank you so much! On a miserable cold rainy day you definitely transport me to Italy and I can enjoy watching Amalfi coast, remember summer days... Just a perfect life... Garden full of all the veg and fruits, fantastic views, lovely weather... Wish to live like this...

Wow! Your garden is my idea of paradise. I admire the planning and hard work that garden represents and really appreciate you doing this video. I grew up in such a family garden, well not in it, haha but regularly tending the garden (weeding), helping with canning and the cooking and now miss it living in a condo - only have herbs. It's a treat for me to vicariously garden with you folks. Carlo is adorable. Keep well.
