Story time: at one of their gigs I found an all access pass on the floor, so after being drunk enough I thought it would be a good idea to go backstage and ask them for a group photo. So I did, I explained that I found this pass and all I want is a photo and I'll leave. They were obviously a bit weirded out but laughed it off, said they would probably do the same, and Sean was actually the person that called Loz over for the photo AND gave me one of his signature picks. Super cool guys

I went to an In Hearts Wake gig a few years ago, and Loz and and I think Mat were manning their own merch stand at the end of the show, and I had a chat to Loz and got a photo with him. They’re very nice guys.
Sean is one of my biggest influences when it comes to riffing, dude is an insane musician but I feel like he’s so underrated
I’ve been a fan of WSS since about 2013, and it’s only until recently I have realised how good of guitarists Sean and Mat are. They’re awesome writers and definitely deserve more recognition.
I'm a drummer nad Sean is the only guy who gives me enough interest to watch guitar videos hahaha

7:00 the riff that finally got me out of my guitar slump after a year of playing the same thing over and over again. This dude is entirely why I got so much better over a few days than I had over an entire year of playing guitar.
I'm actually at that same damn point... Been stalled for like a year playing the same stuff, the last months i have just been doing random riffs of power chords because i didn't knew what else to do 😂🤦♂️
I'll give this riff a try this weekend and see if i can learn it 100%, hoppefully it will help me move forward like it did to you!

I think Alexi Laiho was the reason i started playing like 12 years ago, but i definetely did not start with playing metal songs let alone technical stuff like children of bodom guitar. It's a good thing it's a long road, more fun on the way and actually the road never really ends because there's always something new on guitar to learn or master!

Sean Long is a great guitarist and he's right in what he says, a good soloist doesnt make a good guitarist, his riffs have emotion and are one with the song and make the songs what they are. i had the pleasure of interviewing sean, along with sleeps' second guitarist mat welsh, nearly eight years ago just before the release of their first album! such a great dude, it's been awesome seeing the band rise up, stay consistent and now get so much recognition for their talents.
Darkest Hour is one of my favourit Bands of all Time and it now makes Sense why i Love the Sound of white she sleeps so much
Darkest hour riffs are so mental!!! That whole “undoing ruin” album are some of the best riffs every written. Phenomenal. Doesn’t surprise me that Sean “the riff master” was into darkest hour.

Guilty Party one of the best Riffs. Sean’s riff game is so strong. Wish I had his creativeness to make what he does. FAKERS PLAGUE still has the best riffs throughout the whole song IMO
The words i would say to Sean if i meet him, such an inspiration for myy life, as a person, and as musician, he´s really my hero, hope i can climb one day to where he is and inspire so many other people as he did with me.

Darkest hours undoing ruin album has some of the most epic riffs ever. That album will forever be one of if not my favorite metal album ever.

I'm exactly the same about harsh vocals. I'll sing along to the riff instead of the vocals a lot of the time lol. I'm getting more into the vocals now but definitely when I started listening to heavier music, the guitar had to be pretty fucking good or else I wasn't listening to it.
