Age has taught me, pick a signature style you love and embrace it as your own! Jean's, shoes, boots whatever! Then as styles come & go you will spend less, worry less, compare less because you are ROCKIN your signature style!! If it works for CoCo or RL, it can work for you too! 🙌💪💗

Agree! When I was in my 20s I was super skinny (couldn't put weight on no matter what I ate). One day at work an older co-worker (woman in her late 40s) literally pushed me away from her and told me I made her sick as I was "too skinny". I was mortified! I hated being skinny. Now I would do anything to have my skinny body back! LOL.
This is exactly why I just keep all of my clothes! lol styles come and go so I’m always ready!

I say wear whatever you feel good in,,,we ladies spend way too much time worrying about what others think,,, really at the end of the day..we shouldn't allow the opinions of others to affect us so much- I know, easier said than done

I've been using the pin buttons for years. They are SUPER helpful for that pregnancy stage, where you aren't quite ready for maternity pants but your regular pants are too tight. They also are a good adjustment as you lose the weight.
We totally disagree on the slit pants. I have some that slit on the side. I like to wear them with boots. 😊

Women are still wearing leggings and to me, skinnies are the same as leggings. And I've seen leggings with tall boots.

My issue is everything is too long. When you're 5'2 & below when you find something that you are not tripping over you wear them. Thanks for good tips.
I’m 5’4 and everything is way too long. Can’t imagine for anyone shorter than me. I just don’t understand why we have multiple options of sizing for literally everything but length 🤷🏻♀️

@@amyhess9799 yeah, I buy cropped and petite pants most of the time and still sometimes those can be too long depending on the brand. Hemming everything gets expensive and also annoying cause you can’t wear anything right away 😒
I’m 5’3” and have to look for petite pants for the length. I have found some nice cropped pants at Costco that are supposed to hit mid-calf, but hit at the ankle on me that look like that’s what they’re supposed to look like.
Cropped pants are just pants for me too. 5’3 here.

I don't like those slit on the bottom style. I was in Old Navy browsing and saw them on a couple of styles. Ripped jeans are also not for me. Never spend a lot on them. Just take scissors and do it yourself. Lol!
Sorry but the chunky shoes look ridiculous with skinny jeans. How you wear your jeans really depends on your body type & how long or short your legs are.

lol why do I think Herman Munster with the chunky shoes?! lol! I think some things work even if it’s not what society would deem as “fashionable”, as long as the wearer loves it. I think Billie Eilish style when the wearer oozes self-confidence and assertiveness over their own preferences. ❤❤❤
I completely disagree with the styling of the skinny jean lol. With a chunky shoe it just makes it look like you’ve got tiny little legs with big clown feet. It may be more trendy but it’s extremely unflattering. But to each their own! I do agree skinny jeans look a bit dated though

I’ve never understood the attraction to skinny jeans - they are one step above leggings. I don’t think they are very flattering 🤔. Same with distressed jeans - why pay for “damaged” goods?

What your boss did is sexual harassment. It doesn't matter that it was a woman doing that to a woman. It doesn't matter that she didn't say anything sexual. It is not appropriate for someone to touch and comment on your body.
Number 10: wearing any jeans of any color or style with holes in them. Tacky. Very tacky. And paying $200 for them is elitist. If you wear these please donate your intact jeans to people who have no choice but to wear tattered clothes because they are poor.
Cut-off jeans were in when I was in my twenties so that was 50 years ago!

I'm so excited that straight and flare light wash jeans w/ a higher waist are finally back in style.. however I am not looking forward to every pair of jeans being far too long for me at the bottom and having to pick which shoes you'll always use with that pair in order to hem them just right. Time to find a good tailor.
Never understood distressed jeans and never will.
When you're 4'11" (like me) with la ong torso and short legs, good luck finding ANY jeans or pants that are the perfect length.

Ok, Shea. I'll give a listen, but girl you could wear your pants backwards and they'd look good on your figure. I have expensive skinny jeans and I HATE them, now. I got back to a healthy weight, and I find BOOT CUT is very flattering with anything from heels to sneakers.
I just bought some wide leg pleated jeans at Target and I love them. Still not giving up my skinny jeans though! Have a great day Shea!

I think cut jeans are not really in style this year, anyway when the cuts are too big is just not so flattering, better small little cuts.

I think the main reason that the cuffed jeans and distressed styles are showing in the lighter denim is because we're coming into the spring / summer season. Lighter wash denim is always more popular and practical during this time!
Cuffs are still a thing across the board even wide leg jeans. Celebrities walk out in anything and it becomes a thing.

Yes, do I cringe as you reviewing what not to do and give myself kudos if I'm in line with your best practices on styling and grace when I wore something not suggested. Last night, I wore rounded toed flats with my skinny jeans, and I had pointed flats and boots for an option! Now I know!❤
At that price they aren't "A" goldie, they are THIS MANY Gold bar jeans! My pair the destruction just kept growing. So I turned the jeans inside out and fortified the edges of the holes with iron on denim patches. Don't cringe, you can't see them from the outside. Depending on how aggressive you want to repair the hole, your repair work can make it smaller by pulling in the edges as well as the loose strings. Once that high price pair destroyed itself, I said NO MORE. I have one pair that I fully patched the gap. It still looks destroyed, but no skin is showing through. I am so over that peek a boo I see you thing. TRY THE PATCH! It just may fix what ales you. XO
So agree with not wearing “athletic” shoes with jeans! Should be reserved for physical activities! I get that those very orthopedic looking sneakers are more comfortable for standing for long periods of time. If you are a nurse or doctor in scrubs, ok, but otherwise find something else!
You know what we have heard over the years: “ what’s old is new again “….. the denim shorts, we left the raw hem down and white shorts were the hot colors for years! Love it. Obviously I’m too over the hill for this now…but you young ones, go for it. They will be great! 🩷🦋

Can’t do any distressing. Grew up in the 50’s. Only boys wore jeans. Only POOR boys wore jeans/pants with holes, tears, etc………70 years later, I can’t shake it. I HATE to see my granddaughters in jeans with holes, tears, too much wiskering 😖. This old lady doesn’t like ANY of the looks you showed…….MY problem 😉

Wearing “chunky” shoes make your feet look so much bigger (if you have big feet). I have a couple of friends who wore anywhere from a size 9-10. We could exchange clothes sometimes BUT SHOES? NEVER!! ☹️ I get wanting CUTE!🥰 shoes but… I wear anywhere from a 6 to 7.5 (USA women & 4 to 5.5 in Boys/kids) depending on HOW & WHERE THEY’RE MADE! & I don’t care how CUTE! they were if I felt they made my feet look BIG I would NOT BUY them! (skinny jeans were not a thing back in the day & a reason I DONT buy shoes off the internet🛜 it would take me at least 3 or 4 different shoes (in the same style) to find a pair that fit my foot right/correctly & not hurt). ~Why would you want a shoe or boot to make your feet look like they’re out of place w/your body? 🤨
Style is subjective and ones opinion. I'm 49 and I feel Shea's way of dressing is a bit plan and old fashioned, but I still like watching because I generally pull inspo from everywhere. I think a bigger issue with some is they just may not know how to style their clothes more so then what they have being "out of style". Also trying to always be trendy. I choose more "classic/timeless" pieces and mix in some edge, preppy, masculine whatever I'm feeling that day. I have a pair of wide leg dark denim jeans from Banana Republic that I have had for over 20 years. They are still relevant and in good condition and will forever be stylish because they are classic. I wear them with athletic sneakers, casual sneakers, heels and flats. They look good with all. Like she says, wear what you like, but if you are looking for inspiration, its everywhere.

I'm short and skinny. I LOVE skinny jeans because they fit me so well and don't bag in the butt area (diaper butt look). I'll never let them go!!! LOL!!
I have gotten rid of 99% of my skinny jeans. Also dark distressed jeans. What was I thinking? I never liked cuffing darker jeans. I'd either try to buy them in petites (I'm 5'), or cut the ends and slightly fray them. I can't stand tight jeans.
Also, I do have expensive over distressed jeans, that have gotten more distressed with time.
I can't stand athletic sneakers with jeans. They're for working out only.
