I love how everybody is genuinely paying full attention to his run. Just like blueglass is when he attends every single run no matter the genre, franchise, or runner. I have utmost respect for Blueglass.
I like BlueGlass a lot, he's like one of the most supportive and enthusiastic runner I've seen at SGDQ 2014, he was there right till the last game on Bonus day.
I really appreciate how he respects the story of the game and even shares it with the audience, rather than letting speedrun strategy just blot it out as usually happens in games that rely on text-based cutscenes. It's nice to be able to learn about both the mechanical aspects AND the superficial, narrative aspects of this game without actually having to spend the time playing it--all while watching a speedrun that's entertaining simply because it's a speedrun. Usually speedruns (entertaining as they are) are the bad kind of spoiler, in that they show you a weird, ugly subset of the content a game is actually supposed to present to a normal player. But here, Blueglass fills in the gaps and provides a proper "abridged version" of the game. He didn't have to do that, but it sounds like he just wanted to because he likes the game and cares about it. That's cool.
My brother and I beat Tides of time 4th grade. My thumbs would be raw after playing this game. Trial and error at its finest for this one. Still one of the hardest games I've ever beaten. Don't know if I could have the patience for these games 20 years later.
He seems like such a sweetheart and it's crazy how good he is at this. :O 10 seconds in and I was already like "Whaaaaaaat???" Granted, I've never played any Ecco games but it just looks really difficult.
You really have to admire the construction of this game. Its plot, its colors, its unique gameplay mechanics, the eerily melancholy music. Hard as hell but like any true work of art, takes time and effort to appreciate. Also, nice freakin job on Tube of Medusa holy hell.
Blueglass, if you read this. So many people love you man. You have given me hours of entertainment, whether you were running, or just commentating in the background. Thank you for all you have done in the community, and the fun you bring to anything you do.
Ali Alrubayai slot of people don't realize hate can = love in a way. it's like friendly jiving. sometimes you say something that seems bad but your really just trying to spark up some conversation and then ita the old Pat on the back "ahhh this guy!" people need to really grow up and realize not everything that sounds mean is and sometimes it's just friendly jabbing. not saying all the time
Blueglass/YSG is just a staple of marathons for me now. Rewatching these speedruns really shows how dedicated and excited he was for the runs and for the marathon, as you can clearly see his visage in the background of many of the videos. Every milestone of donation you can see him clapping for it. So shoutouts to everyone's favorite Yellow Shirt God, Blueglass.
Oh man. This had me going tense right until the very end. I never thought I could be so thrilled for a pre-recorded challenge, but this was amazing. Also, WOW, Rockman 4 Minus Infinity? Just how many incredible games did you do that haven't been posted yet!? I will be keeping my eyes peeled and desperately hoping you post every last one!
Blueglass has clearly played ecco a LOT, but even so you can see that he's really focused on the game and watching for cues, but monster patterns in Ecco are a little random so it's not the kind of eerily psychic play you see in some games. Man, if you think THIS is scary, go back and check out Sinister1's blindfolded Punch-out! run. Holy crap.
Great Job Dude! As a kid I could only get to the 6:50 mark and I'm sure I was not playing on hard mode. Could not wrap my head around what those floating platforms are supposed to be and how Ecco sticks to them.
Ysg? More like Psg. Plaid shirt guy that makes Ecco the dolphin speedruns entertaining and is kind and supports many other speedrunners. Keep up the good work, Blueglass :)
You can tell how passionate he is when he is playing, reminds me of a talented guitarist in terms of focus. He seemed a bit nervous but I commend him, he's a good player! Keep rockin' Blueglass! I want to see a Megaman X6 run too, never could beat that one...
the level after the first 3d, stage i never could get past the glyph puzzle if i had, know about that glich, to get past the rocks i would have continued
Where in the first one did we learn the ability to be able to absorb enemies so they don't respawn Was THAT what the dolphin in the beginning meant by "shoot this at the hungry ones to confuse them"? I never understood that hint but I think that one was separate from the ability to damage enemies by shooting sonar.
I remember this game! Could never get past the big red jelly fish in the sky tubes, lovely to see the rest of the game, I knew a cheat to see all the levels but they were so weird I didn't see how they could fit into the game, amazing to see them in the proper order with the story explained!
I'm not a fan of the Ecco series, but Blueglass is making me want to try it again. I know I won't like it, but sometimes I like trying (and failing) to pull off strats.
how about rockman 4 minus infinity, that would be nice to see in its full length seeing as it dropped out like 3 times during broadcast (assuming you have the raw videos ready)!
During the first level where you rebuild the Asterite, I managed to glitch it so Ecco carried 3 globes, but the third globe would disappear when I entered the ring where the Asterite was. I could never glitch the game to make Ecco carry two pairs, though I assume it's impossible.
This game should only be run during AWFUL games done quick, srly what a nightmare, kuddos to blueglass for actually running this game, makes me look at him over a whole new perspective.
To be fair over the course of the run the room does get more and more full and frankly (and this isn't necessarily aimed at you but) I'm sick about hearing how people apparently don't like Blueglass. Everywhere outside of 4chan all I hear for that guy is appreciation and respect for how much he wants to support the community. I've yet to see any decent evidence of any of the runners disliking Blueglass.
Yea at first but over the course of the run it quickly fills back up. Perhaps they left to go just stretch their legs or something after sitting down for awhile.
I did the same thing when I was playing Ecco the Dolphin for the first time I was just fooling around on the password screen and discovered the machine
I love how everybody is genuinely paying full attention to his run. Just like blueglass is when he attends every single run no matter the genre, franchise, or runner. I have utmost respect for Blueglass.
Everybody except the announcer
1:04:50 Blueglass has been playing Ecco for so long he has turned into a Dolphin
19:40 is so heartwarming and adorable
I gave the biggest Awwwwww in my head 😂
I like BlueGlass a lot, he's like one of the most supportive and enthusiastic runner I've seen at SGDQ 2014, he was there right till the last game on Bonus day.

Dudes family even donates... BlueGlass is a great man. This guy warms my heart.
Anyone who can play ecco has my respect, those games are hard. also this guy is pretty awesome.
My brother and I beat Tides of time 4th grade. My thumbs would be raw after playing this game. Trial and error at its finest for this one. Still one of the hardest games I've ever beaten. Don't know if I could have the patience for these games 20 years later.
Blue glass best speedrunner
Much respect Blueglass! You're the best buddy!
The first time I saw Blueglass at a speed run event I was instantly hooked. His enthusiasm for games and helping people is infectious. Keep it up!
I genuinely love BlueGlass (YSG), watching this run has been a pleasure. You are a genius. Yolo Swag God. YSG is Love - YSG is Life.
This game was fucking BRUTAL as a kid, and even still as an adult.
Tubes of Medusa was a NIGHTMARE.
He seems like such a sweetheart and it's crazy how good he is at this. :O 10 seconds in and I was already like "Whaaaaaaat???" Granted, I've never played any Ecco games but it just looks really difficult.
+ShougaTouki it's some powerful shit, go play it
Oh man, my respects to BlueGlass!!! The Ecco series is relentless. Great run on an extremely difficult game!!!!
You really have to admire the construction of this game. Its plot, its colors, its unique gameplay mechanics, the eerily melancholy music. Hard as hell but like any true work of art, takes time and effort to appreciate.
Also, nice freakin job on Tube of Medusa holy hell.
BlueGlass is such a swell guy.
Caught this live it was legit. BlueGlass Ran this like a boss.
Blueglass is a true bro, shame to Uyama for phasing him out of the event this year.
That upset me too.
The whole event this year felt very stale compared to previous years.
he was in the wario land speed run
uyama couldn't handle the basedness that is Blueglass
He donates, he plays, he the one and only Blueglass. His laughter is golden.
BlueGlass seems like the nicest person ever ^-^
Blueglass is a legend. I truly love Ecco, it's one of my favorites from childhood. Don't change bro'! Thanks!
Blueglass, if you read this. So many people love you man. You have given me hours of entertainment, whether you were running, or just commentating in the background. Thank you for all you have done in the community, and the fun you bring to anything you do.

Blueglass seems like a genuine nice guy. Also i like the way he reacts to the speedrun's mishaps, wery relaxed and mellow.
Love You BlueGlass
he's a good commentator and makes it fun to watch, i wanna see the whole run
It's always interesting to watch a speed run of a game you've never played or seen before.
I missed this run during the Marathon.
Happy it's up here now too :]
Blueglass is the best.
Man, back when GDQ wasnt so PC. Used to be so fun to watch.
People give him a bunch of hate but he seems like a nice enough guy.
Ali Alrubayai slot of people don't realize hate can = love in a way. it's like friendly jiving. sometimes you say something that seems bad but your really just trying to spark up some conversation and then ita the old Pat on the back "ahhh this guy!"
people need to really grow up and realize not everything that sounds mean is and sometimes it's just friendly jabbing.
not saying all the time
@@evilnick2885 ur an idiot

This game looks INCREDIBLY difficult to play.
It can be difficult at some parts, but all-in-all it's a really fun game series. I played them all the time as a kid.
It is!!
It's difficult, but it's very fun, and the plot is WILD
1:04:18 My name is Golden and I want to save the animals.
1:04:41 My name is Golden and I want to save the animals.
Gotta love Blueglass! True bro gets true respect
One of my all time favourite games. That Orb Keeper boss drove me nuts for quite a few hours.
Watching the new batch every day when they're uploaded.
Keep it up SDA! :)
I love how active blueglasses face is during his run, you never notice that when he's being that cheeful fellow in the background
blueglass is Awesome
These events wouldn't be what they are without Blueglass and his Angelic Laughter ! A True Bro !
Golden, do you know what "serious time" means?
Blueglass has clearly played ecco a LOT, but even so you can see that he's really focused on the game and watching for cues, but monster patterns in Ecco are a little random so it's not the kind of eerily psychic play you see in some games. Man, if you think THIS is scary, go back and check out Sinister1's blindfolded Punch-out! run. Holy crap.
Love Blueglass :) Awesome guy, always supportive! Glad hes a part of SDA :)
i Don't even see it on the download page yet lol. But i'll keep an eye out
Great Job Dude! As a kid I could only get to the 6:50 mark and I'm sure I was not playing on hard mode. Could not wrap my head around what those floating platforms are supposed to be and how Ecco sticks to them.
The ''that's my mom'and ''thanks mom'' should prevent people from talking bad about this man..
Finally! wanted to see that run ever since I heard Blueglass in the background back then.
I haven't smiled this much watching a run. Ever.
Dat moment when Blueglass couldn't remember his family.
that was an awesome run from an awesome runner. I´ve already watched the run at SGDQ but i have to watch it twice :)
This is the best game ever made. Love it.
Ysg? More like Psg. Plaid shirt guy that makes Ecco the dolphin speedruns entertaining and is kind and supports many other speedrunners. Keep up the good work, Blueglass :)
interesting run of one of my favourite games. much respect to blueglass and sda.
Next AGDQ is in January, and SGDQ is in July!
LOL at 49:47 Blueglass lips the words "Oh fuck..."
'midnight? i guess i should sleep' *notices this video* 'on second thought, there is always time for BlueGlass
BlueGlass is priceless, watched only one speedrun and already got me as his fan o/
You can tell how passionate he is when he is playing, reminds me of a talented guitarist in terms of focus. He seemed a bit nervous but I commend him, he's a good player! Keep rockin' Blueglass! I want to see a Megaman X6 run too, never could beat that one...
Loved this game as a kid. That tube of Medusa was wild tho omg
I love BlueGlass so much :D
He's so god damn awesome.
Awesome! I really enjoy this Speed Run by BlueGlass and the audience was awesome! Also, the girl at the end room is pretty cute, hehe.
the level after the first 3d, stage i never could get past the glyph puzzle if i had, know about that glich, to get past the rocks i would have continued
I'm glad that these videos get put up here, because I honestly would never be able to play this game.
I miss the old GDQ's. The whole event sucks now.

I'm not a fan of the Ecco series, but Blueglass is making me want to try it again.
I know I won't like it, but sometimes I like trying (and failing) to pull off strats.
Also, is there any rhyme or reason at all to the ecco the dolphin games???
we need more of BlueGlass speedrunning!
29:14
... BrownMan?
Actually fuck man yea, that's so fucking cool
1:23:56 such a great moment i miss these days
how about rockman 4 minus infinity, that would be nice to see in its full length seeing as it dropped out like 3 times during broadcast (assuming you have the raw videos ready)!
What can I say ? Congrats on finishing one of the hardest videogames of all time.
CAN'T HANDLE THE YSG HYPE!!! I'M RELIVING IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!
YSG is awesome. I can see why he can be annoying for some people, but damn, he seems like a nice person!
Absolutely love this run. Also i missed a lot of this event, did sisters mode ever get played ? lol
29:10 - Nobody even acknowledged Ray, Achievement Hunter, or even Rooster Teeth for that matter :(
I'm still waiting for it i want it too lol
29:13 BROWNMAN SPOTTED IN THE WILD
You’re my boy, Blue!
Owen Wilson loves him some ECCO.
During the first level where you rebuild the Asterite, I managed to glitch it so Ecco carried 3 globes, but the third globe would disappear when I entered the ring where the Asterite was. I could never glitch the game to make Ecco carry two pairs, though I assume it's impossible.
Is Blueglass ever coming back? I always checked his Twitch to see if he'd ever stream and he never did.
this game looks awesome. i need to get this. i have the first one
Now i wanna see Blueglass play Ecco3D on the Dreamcast/PS2
This game should only be run during AWFUL games done quick, srly what a nightmare, kuddos to blueglass for actually running this game, makes me look at him over a whole new perspective.
needs more BlueGlass love
To be fair over the course of the run the room does get more and more full and frankly (and this isn't necessarily aimed at you but) I'm sick about hearing how people apparently don't like Blueglass. Probably, he has mentioned AGDQ in his videos before.
this will be an awesome run, all i ask now is okami that's all, oh and thanks for everything guys.
When are these usually streamed? I been trying to watch them when they are on. But i keep missing them.
Bluegrass is the reason to watch!
the only guy to support everyone he can
Blueglass you are amazing!
The room fills up pretty quickly after he starts though.
I did the same thing when I was playing Ecco the Dolphin for the first time I was just fooling around on the password screen and discovered the machine
you're so nice to animals, golden
I like the soundtrack to this game i only beat this game by save states lol it bout drove me crazy without it
