Marsha Blackburn hit it on the head. This woman sees it as a 9-5 job with a paycheck and nothing more. IF the children are unvetted and already lost in the system, how would they know where to call in for help.? Makes zero sense, as most govt. decisions do.
Also, once "adopted" into this system, the children could be restricted by their carers from making the "help me" phone call. Congress should INSIST on frequent checks on these children, in person to assess their wellbeing. If they cannot cope with 85,000 children lost in the system, then for pity's sake - DON'T LET ANY MORE IN!
