I watch every week. Sorry less people watch some of your postings. I don't care what you post because I know it's good. I do think that some people are watching for different reasons though like how you have fixed your boat or your sailing or the girls. You are a kind, caring and giving person Colin don't ever change.
The simple fact you brought it up expressing genuine interest has made me more interested in watching and sharing the videos you speak of. You bring awareness by bringing it up here and there.

Re: sharing inspirational stories (and I might be wrong but...) My thoughts are that people watch your videos to see you, Jamie and your adventures. Everyone else is a supporting character. Maybe sharing stories of other inspiring people as tidbits in a typical weekly video rather than dedicating a whole video will get more views and share their stories further.
This is a good idea Lala Koa. Also I believe that it is better to be true to who you are and what you are presenting in the community, rather than sucumbing to cheap party tricks (ie. clickbait) for views. I love these videos on Parlay. So refreshing after watching the Below Deck series which was really just Sex on the Sea and so much unnecessary crudeness. These videos show that there is no need for excessive bad language, sex and bad behaviour to provide a fabulous series on the journey of Colin, the crew and the Parlay and all the highs and lows of ocean sailing. Hello, Your attitude about wanting to help others is what keeps and builds your viewers interest. It is important that we always focus on doing the right thing. Often times it is simple to do what is easy, but you have demonstrated many times, that your more focused on doing what is right. From you building techniques to the regular maintenance you perform. So, allow people to be themselves, unfortunately their choices aren’t always the best. Just don’t let others discourage you and the people you call friends and family. Smooth sailing!

Colin I think you might be underestimating the joy you bring to people by just being free and being young. Your opening comments regarding doing it now and not regreting it later is a lot of peoples truth. Its admirable pushing inspirational stories but your story is inspirational. Ive been in sales and marketing for near 40 years. Think about what people value in your videos and how the people who inspire you are part of your story and how you can get their story and yours to inspire others and also and why an old age pensioner living their dream through you would enjoy their story. I think you will be surprised how much you impact positively on peoples lives.

I would say that, like many of your subscribers, I watch your videos regardless of the title or thumbnail. When it comes to golf, remember what the great Chubbs Petersen said, "it's all in the hips".
Colin, I watch every Video on Parlay. I did go and look at Craigs channel I even subscribed his channel, (because you recommended it) but Dude floundered his opportunity. His last video was 3 months ago. I don't even sail! I'm a fabricator/uneducated engineer and I just like the mechanics and survival of it all! You do you and we will keep coming back!

As a handicapped person in a wheelchair I can tell you exactly why those videos don't get the clicks... it's because people want to buy into the fantasy and the glamor of fabulous people in fabulous places doing fabulous things. The fact that you and your crew are also so down to earth people and who are not afraid to show the NOT so glamorous side of sailing just makes you more endearing. Like others, I live vicariously through you because I know I will never be able to do this.
I use Navionics for my pontoon boat as well. Every little bit of info is helpful. Used it when running on an open lake in forest fire smoke where you couldn’t see either shore.
most people do not want there fragile heart to feel. I am not one of those. I watch your videos because I enjoy what you are about and your journey. Please do not fall for the click baiting. I really like and enjoy the simplicity of your videos. Please don't over think it , your message comes across as though you and the crew are like that distant family we all have and all wonder about. I personally do not use instagram or any other media , and the little one or two minute things just annoy me and I rarely open them. Keep it simple and your life will be all the better for it. I am so excited that you are stopping in Nicaragua! I lived in the north near the Marina Puesta del Sol, and I have a big part in my heart for that area.

I came to watch and cheer you on when you were rebuilding and I am here to stay. Half the time on the other channels there is no content. That’s why I only watch one other sailing channel. Your channel brings back many memories, as i cruised for 20 years, mostly in South East Asia, at 85 i'm still sailing, utube would have been interesting for me to have done, as i have many stories, shoot out with Thai pirates,Ming China salvage, Oilfield Diving for 20 years from Australia to the Middle East,my gas supply cut off on a 600 ft. dive off Taiwan on a bell dive and many more, maybe i,ll run into you in Mexico down the road. Going to be honest, when I am the only one on board, I'm always naked lol. Just make sure and sunscreen the important parts!!!! The ocean reflects sunlight in weird angles off the water and "things" can get burnt!!! Tom has an amazing voice. He needs to go tryout for the "Voice" tv show.

I guess I’m just odd. I watch because I love seeing you enjoy all your hard work. Yes sometimes it’s a bit technical for me, but I watch anyway, partly because I just may learn something. I came to watch and cheer you on when you were rebuilding and I am here to stay. Half the time on the other channels there is no content. That’s why I only watch one other sailing channel. Just keep on doing what you do best.
I actually loved the episode with the amputee. Having issues myself I'm wondering if I can ever sail again. That episode inspired me. Thank you. Also , sail naked ! The best way when you can !

Your channel brings back many memories, as i cruised for 20 years, mostly in South East Asia, at 85 i'm still sailing, utube would have been interesting for me to have done, as i have many stories, shoot out with Thai pirates,Ming China salvage, Oilfield Diving for 20 years from Australia to the Middle East,my gas supply cut off on a 600 ft. dive off Taiwan on a bell dive and many more, maybe i,ll run into you in Mexico down the road. Going to be honest, when I am the only one on board, I'm always naked lol. Just make sure and sunscreen the important parts!!!! The ocean reflects sunlight in weird angles off the water and "things" can get burnt!!!
