- Crossing the border to Turkey is different than usually. I have to put eve trough the x ray machine, that’s a first! And all before breakfast. Riding up to 2500m in the Turkish mountains is challenging for eve and the battery, the coming storm with thunder rain and lighting is not helping and I barely make it to the charger. The day is gonna be long and I will ride through the night to get to Erzurum where I will be waiting for the visa confirmation, but I didn’t expect it to come this fast…

Hi Marc! Before or at entering Iran be sure to get an official permission to take your drone with you. The authorities are very sensitive if somebody from a western country travels Iran with a drone. There are very different authorities with different responsibilities and power. Federal police, military police, religious police and more. There are reports that western travellers with a drone have been considered as spies and have been arrested and accused for spying.

Not a gyroscope, but an accelerometer ;-) Gyro is used for detection of angles/positioning, Accelerometer tells you acceleration/deaccelerations. :-)

yes. I live in Germany.
I got my used (830 km) Energica Eva Ribelle last year. I bought it "blind", without seeing the real bike or even making a testride.
I made a testride on a zero srf before to see if electric bikes are as good as electric cars...
...amd they are! 🙂
The range of the SRF was disappointing and the model at the time couldn't fast charge either. So the only option was Energica.
I've ridden a Yamaha R1 before, so I was spoiled in terms of performance.
But the Ribelle didn't disappoint me. Nobody has a chance from the traffic lights, not even superbikes. I'm gone before they even put the bike in gear. :-)
Of course you have to get used to the weight, especially at the entrance to the curve. But recuperation helps you drive a clean line, even if you're a little too fast at the entrance. :-)
I really enjoy not having to worry about what engine speed I'm at and what gear I'm in.
In summer I did a 2500 km trip through Germany, Austria and a small piece of France was also there. The bike ran excellently.
Afterwards I did another weekend tour, also without any problems.
Unfortunately the bike was dead the next time I wanted to ride it. No response when turning the ignition key, no response when charging.
Unfortunately there are not many Energica dealers in Germany. So I didn't have much choice. I got a trailer and drove an hour to the nearest workshop. The bike had been there since the end of July. A technician had to travel from Italy to replace a circuit board on the battery.
I hope everything is okay again now and I can do a few more nice tours until the season is over.
All in all, I would still buy the bike again in a heartbeat. The only point of criticism in my opinion is the reduction in performance when the battery is no longer at least half full. I think at least in sport mode the performance shouldn't be limited. But maybe that will change with the new board. ;-)
