- When life knocks you down. Go sailing. Still lots of boat repair, but I also sail Ensenada Mexico and up to San Diego and the channel Islands. It's fun to have a taste of cruising life. Also a surprise announcement.
Thanks for joining my on my adventure as I restore a hurricane damaged PDQ Antares 44 Catamaran. Come along as I learn about fiberglass repairs, and everything else I need to know to live my dream and cruise the world.

Brian, I prefer your channel to any of the big TH-cam channels. You are 100% real, and I am here for it. I can relate to you and your experience more than other channels. Please know you make a difference and motivate others. Thank you, and keep your chin up and the wind in your sails sir.
Out of all the sailing channels that I follow I have to say that I do like yours the best Bryan . There is an element of realness that you can’t duplicate and it comes through in your videos. Like you I’m a projects guy. When you throw in a dose of life on top of all the effort to get ahead on your chosen path, it’s easy to get burnt out. You’ve taken on a lot in challenging times and man you are styling! It may not seem it at your end at times, but from an outsider looking in I’m really impressed.
At 54, I’m looking towards retirement and there’s got to be an adventure their waiting. You are inspiring and good on you for getting out there and giving yourself a recharge.
Be kind to yourself Bryan. Take it one day at a time.
When I’m “knee deep” in a project and starting to feel it. I remind myself,
“If it was easy, everyone would be doing it”

For some reason your channel didn't show up on my feed so I'm missed a bunch of video's well at least now I get to catch up. We all need to get re-energized with what where passionate about in life. If you don't life become mundane. Its difficult as it is, without following your dreams.
Nice to see a bit of project reality on you tube. Go easy on yourself- projects need a break now and then. I can tell you’re going to end up on the deck of that cat living the dream. Just allow yourself to laugh at the trip getting there.

We have all been there and by the time middle age comes arounds it is more like been there several times. Stay connected with your support system and have alot of patience.

My biggest thing that has always gotten me by when things looked the worst was to start a project I had no time for. Suddenly I had something to occupy my mind and while working the project, I would think things out. Somewhere in the middle of the project what was before a problem now had solutions. Having followed this crazy guy as he brought back engines in his luggage. Watch him figure out fiberglass work and share his knowledge and then give us lessons on life with episodes about never giving up and following the dream. We have decided his twisted sense of humor was refreshing. Do you think we are going anywhere? Take some time, after all life is just that, life. And remember, there is always tomorrow.
At 64, I'm working on rebuilding the mast on my boat in the Columbia river, watching this video. I think back over my life and offer this advice. Problems only last a small time. Life is long, pay attention to the longer one. Solve the short ones and move on.

Hey Bryan! You did the right thing mate, the best time to take a break is when you feel you need a break, no more no less. Batteries recharging and in two months you´ll be at full speed back in track! "The plan is: the plan will change" I´ll write it down for personal use :D And remember: A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to. Your video and usual self has just helped me with a flat patch mid project too! 100% real content every time which is great to watch and great advice ref getting out on other folks boats too!
Keep going with the cat, we're 2 years into our salvaged 50 foot cat rebuild and i can relate to the pitfalls and low spots.

you are correct boat owners in yacht clubs are always looking for crew - In OZ the clubs have mid week Sundowners with a race around the buoys with a more relaxed fun approach - a few beers some chicken wings and then carry on in the club house - just rock up and ask

I only have one bit of advice, - that you can't pour from an empty cup. Recharge your batteries, because any restoration will gang up on you and beat you. Get you some win feelings back, and you'll be ok.

Sorry to hear that you been not up to par keep your head up I enjoy your Channel I enjoy your attitude coming from a person that's used to be like you now I'm married I have two little ones with him all the inflation things have gotten harder and cannot even purchase a sailboat but I still keep my head up and happy when I watch your videos of your project and other videos of other projects love your channel bro
If we never had bad times we wouldn’t enjoy the good times.
