Problems always make good content. Especially when they get the Bryan treatment. Great to see your old project going to good hands. I've been watching Mads for years, look like I will get a few more from him and Eva now. 😃
Pleasing to see you are doing better than I expected, having found the right boat. You look like you are in better physical shape - all that kite boarding - so hope you enjoy your new routine and thanks for the videos.
Good news all round Bryan- hope the registration process for the Antares is resolved and hopefully a joint video with you both in Florida before too much longer. Looking forward to more videos about your ‘new’ boat and the work in due course.😀👍⛵️
SO happy to have Brian Sailing back in my youtube feed! And happy that you found a boat you can sink your teeth into while still being able to enjoy being on the water. I for one am looking forward to your future episodes on this new boat.
Great to see you back Brian. Yes Mats is a fantastic buyer, who, like you has a good eye for detail and the skills to make the Antares come back to life. Happen to follow both of you from more or less day one.
Gday Bryan, Good on you mate. I’m excited for you too. 😁 Finding a great work life balance is the key and you obviously have found what is best and working well for you. All the very very best to you and yours mate, Cheers 👍👍🍻
really good to see you on a boat that you can be on the water now instead of years from now - although it was sad to see you having to give up on the other one....but for sure you made the right decision. Good luck with the reno.
Glad to see you are still smiling and have a new boat project. No matter how well we checked out a boat there are always hidden problems. That's the boat life!
I hope this is a new start to your channel. I really enjoyed the repairs and your process on the old boat and look forward to following you as you upgrade the new one. Very happy for you to be in a boat you can sail while upgrading. That looks like some instant gratification.
Great to see you again I'm very emotional, all your work just you with you are dream, but you included your mom yes, I have to repeat again you are full of talents.
Great to see you again I'm very emotional, all your work just you with you're dream, but you included your mom, its said a lot. I have to repeat again you are full of talents. I worked not as an engineer, graduated in fashion design hihi yup in bras. Only in the farmyard and further down, large marina in Quebec. Still with pation I admire you.
bonjour Byran i'm not quite sure why i'm just getting your vidéo here in france. toutes mes félicitations for your new boat; i see and feel your joy. all your projects are doable. i do remember watching hours of fiber glass work, compound, and sanding. i'm just happy you're back at it. cheers
Well done you! it looks like you got yourself a good new (well new to you anyway) cat - I do like cats. Maybe the sale of your other cat has now gone through, I know from Mads, there was a bit of a hick-up re the paperwork. I trust that is all OK now in real time and you are happy and content again. All the very best. Phil (in South West England)
Wow, this didn't go the way I thought it was going to. I came here from @SailLife. I thought Mads was nuts for buying the Antares, and then when I saw on your channel what it was like when YOU got it, I thought YOU were nuts for buying it. Then I started to really appreciate how you were doing things and how it was all going to come together. I knew the end result -- your dream would not be completed -- but I didn't know how or why. Eventually after seeing all your work, I really wanted to see you finish the boat. I felt sad knowing you weren't going to. Then it was nice to see things evolve. You came to terms with your change in plans and handled it gracefully (at least on youtube), and you made a difficult but wise decision to part with the Antares. I'm sure we're all happy that Mads will take it from here. I'm glad you are continuing with your dreams, even in different form. I also really like your channel. Your work is excellent, and I like your explanations. I too can relate to working with a certain amount of mess. I agree that mess is related to openness and creativity. I get nervous when spaces are TOO neat. I hope you will continue with more videos of the work you've done and the work you have yet to do. Sure, a broken windlass is a pain for you, but it makes a good video for me to watch! Other stuff, too. For example, you mentioned picking up a mooring. Show us how you do it! Seriously, this is not just another boat channel. It might not take off to 200k subscribers, but I think lots of people will appreciate what you're doing and your style. Enjoy settling in to your new boat. Fair winds!
Congrats Brian! I did not realize you are still in Rhode Island. We should meet up some time! I am excited that Sail Life could be the new owners of the Antares!
So glad to see you back on TH-cam. Your new boat is fantastic. I always found your videos great. Looking forward to your new boat repair videos and your adventures. Take care my friend.
Congratulations! You are one of the few sailors that understand that the keel produces as much lift upwind as the sails do on the downwind side (when on a steady state track in constant wind)! Looks like you've got plenty of boat projects ahead to keep you busy!
I'm happy for you. Sometimes we have to walk away and start over. It is a hard thing to do. I'm from Mads channel and he loves sanding and restoring. New subscriber to your journey! Let's go!
Great to see you back Bryan. When Mads referenced your channel on Sail Life, I went back to the start and I have watched all your videos. I love the way you approach everything ! Also can’t wait to watch Mads finish your old boat. Win-win for me :)
Just finished watching all your videos (in one week, found out your channel from Sail Life). A bit mixed feelings to see you sell your boat after all this hard work you put in, but very happy to see you moving on in this last video. Looking forward to your next videos!!!
Welcome back Bryan. I was following you when you were repairing your last Catamaran and have just subscribed again. I look forward to seeing more of your content, many thanks 😊
I'm glad you're back Bryan. Im sorry your life went south for awhile, funny thing is, right after I found your project and started following build, our lives seems to be taking a parallel course, my life went south too, a similar thing happened to me. I took your leave of absence pretty hard, so if that sounds weird, but you were part of my routine. I'm looking forward to new vids, and I re-subsribed. I followed Mads from day one, he'll take care of your build.
Congratulations Bryan ..... Well done !!!!! .... She looks like a Really Solid boat .... and YES ..... 'Madds' sure won't be able to move around your New Boat ..... :-) :-) :-) When I saw that you were selling, I let Madds know Immediately, thought that 'Your Project' boat would be a Good Fit for them, after seeing just what he did to Their Boat and the Very Extensive Upgrade 'Rebuild' Best to ALL from ChCh, NZ
So glad you’re back and happy to be on the water again. Rossco for “ on the hulls” mentioned that a friend of his was looking at your boat.🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺 bring on the videos
Good to see you!! I´ve been waiting since the last video to see your new ride. I´m glad see again your good sense of humor. Nice boat man, I´m sure you´ll leave spot on.
This is like a perfect boat for you. Looking forward to watch all the new stuff go in. You should reach out to precision sales if you want new sails they give youtubers discounts sometimes.
Congratulations Bryan! So happy for you. She's a great looking boat and it already looks like you've made some fantastic changes. I can only imagine what it'll look like a year from now! Enjoy this time! Also, congrats on the sale to Sailife. If I had a boat to sell, I would love passing it onto them. (I'm one of those viewers that came over from their channel.) Looking forward to more of your content! Happy sailing!
Glad to see you’re living on the water in your beautiful cat. I was amazed when watching your refit videos. You do great work. Well, you love your projects. Hopefully it’s a little more manageable now. I saw Mads video and was thinking about you. Good luck my friend. Happy for you. 😜😜👍👍
Congrats. You look pleased. Try not to tackle too many projects at once. Thoroughly work through your priority list (safety, maintenance, convenience, upgrades, code) and make this project boat experience more enjoyable than the last one.
Eh I've heard people talk about "I don't put the sails up until 15 knots" all the time. Seems to be the talking point that gets people into light weight "performance cruisers." I have a "condomaran" Lagoon 440 and I sail in 10 knots all the time. I can do 7kts in 10kts in flat conditions no problem. I could probably pull an extra knot if i throw up my asym instead of my genoa. For lighter conditions, everyone seems to forget that gennakers exist :). And most of those "big boats that dont sail in 15 knots" have large expensive gennakers for light wind conditions. You bought a great boat though. Very well built. But don't knock a condomaran. Most of them can still sail extremely well!
She is a nice boat, definitely on the limit for a single person. Definitely agree with your ‘performance’ choice, not for speed, but for sailing comfort and safety. Glad to hear your criticism of condomarans. Dare we ask how much $$$
Well this is the 1st video of yours I've seen. Looks like you have your list prioritized. 1100 mile drive, sounds a little shorter of mine 2 yrs ago! But I had an awesome time! Are you based in Florida for now? Just curious. I subscribed by the way! ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸⛵👣☘🍍🤗
If you are in market for air conditioning units you can buy the exact same units Mabru sell for a quarter of the price. Mabru just slaps their name on units made by Shanghai Hopewell. They will units to anyone direct from the factory.

Thanks for the mention, Bryan :) The new boat looks awesome! So happy to see you found a good boat :)
Thanks, I look forward to getting together when I get back to Florida.
@@BryanSailing me too 🙂
Ahhhh, more glorious sanding!!!
Problems always make good content. Especially when they get the Bryan treatment.
Great to see your old project going to good hands. I've been watching Mads for years, look like I will get a few more from him and Eva now. 😃
Yes the boat is in good hands

Hey Buddy Nice to see you back.

Good news all round Bryan- hope the registration process for the Antares is resolved and hopefully a joint video with you both in Florida before too much longer. Looking forward to more videos about your ‘new’ boat and the work in due course.😀👍⛵️
I won't be back to Florida until winter, but I'm sure we'll do some joint videos

Great video.
I hope this is a new start to your channel. I really enjoyed the repairs and your process on the old boat and look forward to following you as you upgrade the new one. Very happy for you to be in a boat you can sail while upgrading. That looks like some instant gratification.
Yes, although it harder to work on the boat in the water, it's nice to be enjoying it at the same time.
Great to see you again I'm very emotional, all your work just you with you are dream, but you included your mom yes, I have to repeat again you are full of talents.
Congratulations on your new home. 👍

I've been a sail life fan for a long time. I'm glad it's going to them too.
Just came across this. I've owned a 401 for almost a year now. Curious to see what you're up to with projects on it.
Glad to see you’re living on the water in your beautiful cat. I was amazed when watching your refit videos. You do great work. Well, you love your projects. Hopefully it’s a little more manageable now. I saw Mads video and was thinking about you. Good luck my friend. Happy for you. 😜😜👍👍

So, you're back. And i've been watching Sail Life from before his purchase of Athena.
Great boat. Especially coming from that Antares.
Propane is a pain imo, go induction.
welcome back
Congrats. You look pleased. Try not to tackle too many projects at once. Thoroughly work through your priority list (safety, maintenance, convenience, upgrades, code) and make this project boat experience more enjoyable than the last one.
Welcome back!
thanks
Bryan, you look a lot more positive than on your old videos. Seems you did the right thing.
A lot has changed outside of boats. I'm in a much better place in life.
Eh I've heard people talk about "I don't put the sails up until 15 knots" all the time. Seems to be the talking point that gets people into light weight "performance cruisers." i notice one thing from the other boat to this one.... is you have crap everywhere but this is a nice boat
She is a nice boat, definitely on the limit for a single person.
Definitely agree with your ‘performance’ choice, not for speed, but for sailing comfort and safety. Glad to hear your criticism of condomarans.

Don't get me started on condomarans, to each their own, but not for me.
