    But this video is worth watching just for hearing you refer to sausage.

    Agree Lisa. There’s really a safety issue with women’s changing rooms. My wife is really concerned about this as am I and others should be too. J K Rowling (Harry Potter author) often raises these points and gets vilified bit I think it is very important the points she raises.

    I agree 100%. Of course you can respect a person's decision to choose their gender, but what about respecting the safety of a woman in the locker room?? There was a recent case where a man claimed he was a woman, went into a woman's locker room in a gym and assaulted her. Its fine that we have become more permissive on such matters but it cannot come at the cost of someone's right not to be attacked.

    There is a famous psychological quote, "Cogito ergo sum" which means I think therefore I am. It is a difficult topic to discuss and I understand where you are coming from. It is in the US, UK and most of Western Europe, but it can be in the Philippines and parts of Asia. We call them "Ladyboys."

    • @shaun1293
      @shaun1293 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The difference is the ladyboys are under no illusion they’re still men. They just want to look like women, hence they call themselves ladyboys and deny themselves as women.
      The west is completely different. They literally think they can change their sex under the guise of ‘gender’, and gaslight everyone else into believing them.

    We respect the gender divide between public conveniences because we care for the comfort of others. If that respect is absent it means that, that consideration is also absent and in its place a desire to fulfill self concentric desires.

    There is a small percentage of the population that is gender dysphoric. In the US it’s about 0.6% of the population. Some of these people have underlying genetic abnormalities affecting the sex chromosomes. I’ve heard enough interviews of parents whose child is affected by this condition to have only sympathy for them and their child. Unfortunately there are unscrupulous politicians who latch on to the attention these people are now getting, thinking they can use this as a wedge issue to obscure their failure to address bigger problems (e.g. affordable healthcare, gun safety, etc.). It’s cynical and should be disqualifying.

    This may not be a popular opinion on this video but I have some different opinions on this but I think a something thats difficult to think about is than many trans people commit suicide because how they are treated by our NHS system and the long wait to transition, I have heard that trans teenagers also in danger of this. So if there is a complete halt in young people transitioning, there may be a rise in suicides?
    While I do think children are immature so I understand why when someone should start to transition is a difficult subject. I think perhaps it should be case by case, depending on how much them being stuck in the body they were born with is affecting them mentally.
    My trans friend let me know about young people taking their lives because they could not transition due to the NHS or had to wait too long.
    I'm happy that she has figured out who she is and it pains me to see some (not all) but some not so supportive messages on here. Someone calling trans people "a delusional fantasy"
    People wishing for their bodies to be different is not a delusional fantasy, does this commenter think that they want to be trans? Its not a choice. You don't just wake up one day and decide I want to be the opposite gender. I have read into it and people understand from a incredibly young age that something is wrong with their bodies and that they don't feel like themselves.
    I just think it must be awful to think and feel like a women, yet be trapped in a mans body or visa versa. Many people agree that men and women minds work differently so the fact someone could be born with a mans mind yet in a women body, is easy for me to understand and I feel sympathy for them and hope that their transitioning goes well.
    What I do wonder is why would a non trans men pretend he is a trans women to harm women? If a man wanted to harm women, there are plenty of other ways to do it unfortunately.
    Women can still get hurt, alone in parks, walking to their home at night alone, choosing the wrong man to stay the night with, meeting a man they met online alone etc. Men have also gone into women toilers before to hurt women, they don't need to pretend to be a trans women.
    So because of that I do not really understand this fear of a non trans man dressing up as a trans women to hurt women.
    There are also plenty of toilets that welcome men AND women in the UK, and so far I have not seen any complaints about these toilets? Not as common as a only men and only women toilets, but still not unusual.

    • @GobbyLisa99
      @GobbyLisa99  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Many toilets can be used by both men and women, but this type of toilet usually has only one room, which I think is fine. Some public toilets have many rooms together , and a man-like person is next to me, and we can hear each other's or see his feet , which makes me feel uncomfortable. It’s just my opinion.

      @@GobbyLisa99 If they are truly trans, they would sound like women and they would look like a women, so why would that make you uncomfortable? @@GobbyLisa99 Thank you, it’s a pity that others don’t share that respect. I always feel so sorry for my friend when I often hear transphobic things in online comments and I hope one day this country will accept her and others.
      She has told me that she is interested in moving to a different country that is more accepting of trans people, I do not blame her at all, in the UK there is so much negativity surrounding trans people, I think our previous prime minister stoked that negativity and made people think it was okay to say hateful things but I hope one day that will seen as an negative and old fashioned view, just like being interested in the same sex has been mostly fully accepted in the UK.
      When I was young at least 11 or 12 I watched my first programe with a trans person on it, a trans student, I was confused and my mum explained to me what being trans meant in a simple but perfect way. She told me “Imagine yourself being trapped in a boy’s body but you don’t feel like a boy, you still feel like yourself and your trapped there, in this body that doesn’t feel like your own”
      Since then I always be supportive of trans people. Who would want to be trapped in a body that doesn’t feel like their own?
      I assume there is a much more complex scientific way to explain but in my mind that explanation has always stuck with me.
