Fined 83k For His Car Being Too Loud? Here's the REAL STORY!

  • I give you my thoughts on the evolving story of "Bellmont Hellcat". Miles Hudson is an Instagram Creator who has managed to grow a substantial social media following by ripping up and down the streets of Seattle, terrorizing the residents with his insanely loud Charger Hellcat. Despite being warned about his behavior, he continued to torment residents at all hours of the day and night until he was issued serious fines for his behavior. Do you feel that these fines were unjust, or did he deserve what he got?

I agree 100%. I have a 2020 Challenger RT with a few modifications to the exhaust tune and intake. When I moved in my house I went to my neighbors on both sides of my house and spoke to them, and told them I have a car that's a little loud,I got very lucky because one of them has a Ram with long tubes😊 The other one said, and I quote, your not going to be doing burnouts at 6 am right,if not were good? I say this because
,I was brought up in a totally different era. I was taught to respect my elders and to treat people how I want to be treated. Driving around like a maniac doing takeovers and all that is senseless,I don't care about followers he could have hurt someone or himself. I also agree with what you said about being able to enjoy our cars without driving like idiots. There's a few places I go off the street to mess around a little, and I'll just say there's a time and place. Thank you for this and all your other content. I have been enjoying your videos since right before you got rid of your 1000 hp Hellcat, which was sick, by the way. Thanks, X. I look forward to seeing your 170 back on the track once the engine is broke in.

It's not the noise. As you said, he is participating in the street takeovers...these takeovers have brought with them shootings. Seattle is an extremely liberal city...defund has left the city with about 650 cops. They don't have time or manpower for traffic enforcement and are not allowed to pursue for reckless driving. He has been difficult to identify as the driver...which is why the city are going after him for a civil infraction. The neighborhood--Belltown is population dense with nightclubs and narrow roads. Screaming past a nightclub at over 100mph on a two lane roadway with hundreds of people standing outside da club is reckless. The city have tried to reason and work with him. When he crashes into a group of people...he won't go to jail for the noise and the carniage he leaves will be more than a nuisance.

These young ones nowadays don’t fear ramifications of their actions, And most of their parents are in denial. The mother is the registered owner? Why wasn’t this car taken away from him along time ago? I mean all of did not happen overnight. I hope the book is thrown at him, And it’s to bad the mom can’t be fined in this case. Maybe if the parents have to start taking some responsibility for their kid’s actions, Maybe this kind of behavior would not be tolerated anymore..!!

I have a soft spot for trouble making Mopars...BUT this kid is an idiot. Pulling 105mph on small, hilly city blocks? Good way to die. Even for himself. People need to understand these are not huge, open blocks like LA, NYC. It's tight. The streets are full of potholes. In a way, it's good he's been busted for going in circles more than drag racing. He'd have killed an innocent bystander by now. The other thing is our cops have their hands tied. This cop is acting like a nice dad instead of a cop, not that he can do much more. Feel free too vent! You have common logic, sir!

Coming from the city who let BLM and antifa burn their city to the ground and didn’t prosecute anyone especially the people who went after federal cops, now they’re worried about a loud car? Agreed he shouldn’t be harassing his neighbors, but this is so ironically funny coming from Seattle who allowed all this trash to go on for the last couple years to be chasing one car. They got exactly what they asked for. Congratulations Seattle.

I have been in LE for 30 years in a vast tourist county in TN and just turned 73 in very good health and I love performance cars. I firmly believe in people’s right to do with what is theirs, however, no one has the right to terrorize others. In our county we have a LOT of rental cabins and parties get pretty loud and our Officers have to go calm them down or remove them. They have the right to party but not disturb others. This kid just seems disrespectful like a lot of other young people today who have the attitude that they don’t have to obey the rules. My dad was military and if I didn’t obey the rules of the house I had to pay in punishment. His punishment is $83,000. I liked my dad’s punishment a lot better than his and it didn’t cost that much. As far as good news goes my dad used to say ‘good news does not sell’. This kid probably making a killing off this bad publicity and can pay the $83,000 from it which is sad. Great video and love them all. Thanks.

I know people who still posts videos of cars they don't even own anymore because they keep a large backlog of videos to release over time. I think the fines are just excessive at that point... no chance he has the money to pay 80+ thousand dollars in fines. Pointless to keep doing that unless their intent is to put him behind bars.

If he didn't have a Hellcat he'd be the same kind of obnoxious douchenozzle but in a 15 year old honda civic. That said people who learn to drive on a V8 will be infinitely better drivers than someone who drove econoboxes all their life and then decided to get a Mustang when they turned 40... those are the people who wrap their mustang around a pole leaving a cars and coffee...

Remember the white or Asian kid who got threatened to have his car impounded and it was a stock Hyundai? Just one time driving and he got a $5-6k fix it ticket. the court said they can't impound his car because it's his mom's. They also said they can't garnish wages because he has no job, but he is making money off social media, so why can't they take that? Wouldn't it be the fruit of illegal activities?

My ZL1 1LE stays in track mode with the borla atak mufflers no headers, I crank my car up after 9AM and put it up by 9pm, and I'm in a rural area in Texas. Now on our home place which has a few 100 acres I would fire it up a 5AM, then turn it down, my dad would complain a little but I never complained when he started the tractor at day break.

I agree completely. You are spot on. When I bought my Mustang GT (used), the previous owner had put the "racing version" of a popular exhaust manufacturer. It did sound good, but it was loud as hell. I quickly learned how to keep it toned down (comparatively speaking). But even at that, I knew it was ticking the neighbors off (especially on cold starts). And the drone on the highway was crazy. It was just too damn loud. So, I switched to that same company's "street version" exhaust. I absolutely love it now. If I goose it, it still can get loud, but for typical driving it sounds awesome. Reasonable. Great tone. No drone. Loud enough to know it's not stock, but NOT obnoxious. I love the sound of a good V8. But I really don't get off on pissing other people off.

Two owner vehicle, one guy drives to work or to Walmart... the other owner steals it when the first owner isn't looking and tickets the ever living fk out of it then dumps it back where the first owner parked it. good thing the lady has a voice, cuz that kitties tire bill on the rubber's is incrementable, expectation 80'000 miles to a $500 set of tires. just like money in the first place, a city estate can pay someone $80'000/year because it costs less then $500 from their industry production side of things.

"....but if it's a video that is negative...I blew up my 170 engine or I drove my 170 off a cliff and into a boat or whatever....PEOPLE WILL WATCH THE CR*P OUTTA THAT" - these are now well-established facts in this day and age of social media. No wonder "content creators" like *something-something*Diesel (we all know which one I'm referring to here) get millions of views and millions of people subscribing to his channel. Ridiculous!

I've mentioned it before in the comments I owned a pro street 1966 New Yorker. The exhaust was headers, dual flowmaster two chamber mufflers and all three inch. It had a bit of a lumpy cam in the 440. The thing about it was no matter how quietly I was trying to drive it windows would vibrate and car alarms would go off. Because it was a 1966 car the exhaust was legal. I got stopped by a Kingman Arizona cop that wrote me a warning about it. I was hot and did all kinds of research then brought the car to the Arizona DPS station. I talked to a nice cop and he was like let me go out there and see this car and hear it. I let him start it and he smiled and said it sounds to me that exhaust is doing exactly what it was designed to do and it complies with Arizona law as such. Pretty sure he knew the deal with what the car was about and could tell I wasn't going to be acting stupid with it anywhere near civilization. People would go out in the desert and drag race the cops new it and were tolerant then. The city cops were a different animal altogether than a DPS or a Sheriff.
Now its different because to many stupid people doing stupid things on video! Or you see it going on in real life.
Simple fact taking Cats off a car no matter where you live in the U.S is illegal and always was. Any device that negatively impacts the emissions also illegal. All under federal not state law! If anyone was paying attention they really started cracking down on that stuff while Trump was in office!

The Mopar community is the worst?? I hear all sorts of loud cars and bikes from every generation... However a young 20 year old male with a car with too much power and race mods" is a bad mix, most these kids are crashing them , getting them stolen sometimes it's where they hang out and who with, but it's NOT exclusive to Mopar. There is a lot wrong with the generation, parenting and public school system.. Mopar by the way is overall will be changed or worse decrease drastically...

@@JaccZc the Mopar community is horrible, everybody just wants it for the name, usually know little to nothing about cars, they look down on every other manufacturer, their clientele is mainly young 20 year olds, they tear up the cars & typically try to be seen everywhere, extremely aggressive overs that don’t respect te power of the cars which usually leads to people getting hurt and killed…none of this was the case until all the scat pack/392 & hellcat variants came out…. Everyone knows about the Mopar community. I used to love dodge before all the popularity but the new age Mopar community sucks
