      I’ll look at it from a perspective that they screwed customers for 3 years with ADMs, market adjustment and useless add-ons. There are people who are losing their ability to feed their families cause they have to decide between food, gas, rent/mortgage, and car payments. Karma is a crazy b**ch and will bite you hard. I can almost promise this is a paid attack from a few customers that got burned.

    I can't think of anyone more deserving of this than the stealerships. I bet the hacker saw the 'internet price' and even called to confirm it was the price out the door and was told yes, then drove an hour and a half to get there, only to be told the actual price is $25k more than the internet price cause of markup, fees, addons and other shit he never wanted, never asked for and was never told about so he taught these scumbags a lesson they won't soon forget.

    When this happens, you NEVER pay. Once someone does, then that unleashes the hacking hounds because they know doing this works. It's better to let the data leak or whatever and deal with the fallout from that. The alternative that would happen when giving in will make things so much worse in the long run.

    • @GoatPilot04
      @GoatPilot04 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh they'll pay lol. They *always* pay. They insurance against data breaches for exactly this. Sometimes the government will step in and recommend it, and probably already have. The FBI's *official* stance on ransomware is do not pay it also...but have historically recimmended to many companies and broadly to do the opposite, just pay it... Just like the federal government doesn't negotiate with terrorists? If nine figure digital transfers, *PALLETS* of American currency, and bribes to individuals of cars, money, property, and access to things of value to them don't count as negotiating, I don't know what does.

    I've witnessed hijack attempts like this before. I've had customers computers locked down with all their files being encrypted, using an exploit on Windows. Your data will be held hostage, locked down unless you pay a set amount to the hacker. Usually through bitcoin, so it's untraceable. There's no guarantee you'll get your data unlocked once you pay it, too. Often times, customers don't have backups to recover from. In many cases, the data is lost, and the customer has to start over. Security, and backing up your data, is a must these days! Great video bud! I hope there's a resolution to the current state of affairs. This is horrible news!

Why , didn't they redo their products line to have better mix ,as in other models that have better emissions and better four and six cylinder affordable models aka Toyota, then you can have Hemi options in just about anything, I can't imagine no engineer can redesign emissions system for a Hemi model. Those turbo models are unproven. That Hemi jeep is a limited Toy, not affordable

    The dealer system of selling cars should have been changed years, and years, ago. They were ALL at one time used car dealers and they have NEVER been able to shed those used car salesman crooked business ways. I have never found shopping for a new car or truck a fun thing. I've always dreaded it. Even down to the scuzzy little guy who prepares the sales contract and slips in added costs. Once I didn't even notice he had added an extended contract until I got home that night. Had to make a special trip the next day when the doors opened to make them redo the contract. He never even asked me if I wanted one of those worthless 3rd party warranties.

    Honestly, like truly honest. Fuck all the dealers... A person with high morals who are true to their customers will not survive in that industry. They want to hire people who are weak to help them screw their customers in the community into overpaying for new and used cars. Dealers will feel nothing for selling a car that should cost 5k for 25k. All hope is lost the moment you step on a dealer lot. Thank God that mostly everyone has a brain and a heart to walk away when they see a bad deal. Everyone who's looking to sell anything in life to their community just remember who you're screwing when someone trys to pay 5x more than what's it's worth, sell for what you think it worth to your area.
