You two are indefatigable! I have never seen any couple work so hard for such a long period of time...with so much work still to do! Kudos to you both!
:) that will never float... Many years ago I was involved in the building of the Skye Bridge. The caissons were hollow concrete tubes, cast in an old oil rig yard : Kishorn Dry Dock. My job was to pump out and monitor the ballast water in the dock gates when we floated them at high tide. Each gate was 14,000 tons of concrete ... made like an egg box, filled with water to keep in place. The aim was to : flood the dock to the same level as the sea. Pump out the water, float the gates away, float the 2 caissons out and tow them to the bridge location and sink them. We had fun trying to get the dock gates re-sunk in the exact required position in a force 9 gale :)
To quote Jerome K Jerome: “It always does seem to me that I am doing more work than I should do. It is not that I object to the work, mind you; I like work: it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours.” This is the sort of vicarious pleasure I get from watching you both labour on all of your extremely interesting projects. You continually surprise me with the true grit you show and are a great example to others made of lesser stuff or have had their turn already :-) 👍👍👍
Heated Pool, Nice! To a shed, looks like the young bloke with the knee bandage and the wheel barrow, did a bludy good job. So did Gem and Simon. Thanks m8s, done real well. Thanks m8s stay vertical.
Simon Furze!! What’s next, the start of a tunnel? Hey what a great idea! You two have so many things going on, one wonders how you keep track!! Alternators, paint, decks (multiple) and RIP Drones…..
Great. It's brilliant to see you've decided to document the building of your workshop. You two are the hardest/busiest workers I've seen for a long, long time! Keep up the good work. Dave Swain and family x😊
Hi, SH! I can only imagine what the neighbors thought was going on in your yard. First the shoveling, then the sound of dragging. 😅 Your projects are all so cool. Can't wait to see the finished workshop. 🏠🚤❤
Awww i can't believe you're depriving the kids of that pool that probably only gets used a few times a year lol Makes a difference with no commentary.. for something like this where you just need to get on with the job and its self explaining.. i like it !! Only comment ... guys, you DONT need to justify how much you're spending building that shed !! That's YOUR business, not ours !! ❤
Gemma, you missed a good chance to through in a few hands full of glitter/color chips when the floating was being done at the end. And putting the date of pour in the corner when it's semi set. You guys are the hardest work folks. Hope you and yours are well ~ See you next time ~ Lacy, Mike & Hamish🤗💕🐾
Hard graft ,but it's probably saved you £3k in labour costs. I'm currently rebuilding my bathroom ,around 9k Aussie in Materials, it would be over 25k if I was paying someone. It's good to have skills
Massive changes afoot!! I don't blame you guys - there will be a lot of people turning off the heating to their pools and spas - no one can afford to heat them anymore - me included!!! It must be very mixed emotions for you with all of the happy memories of summer with the kids in the pool. Out of the ashes of the Phoenix will be a new dawn for you all, including Sarinda....... Best wishes on your new venture. With you all the way. x. Davidm.
@@ShipHappensUK Starting to come out of hibernation slowly, Wife has a list of jobs I am trying to dodge. Tidied the garage up a bit today ready for a new project arriving.
Gemma, go look at pictures of the Land Girls and start tying your hair up in a scarf! Super cute and it will save you from all the tangles, paint, grease, grime, muck, and so on. I rock a Rosie the Riveter scarf myself here in California and i tell you, i get compliments on how cute it is all the time and my hair is safe!
Kind of sad taking down your children’s childhood hang out, they’re getting older and have out grown it. Time for you to reclaim the space for your hang out, nice work, didn’t expect this so fast! ASMR, so different!
@@lauralake7430 The swing set I got when I was two years old survived my three younger brothers, my cousin and my older cousin's two kids. Last year we took it down because we figured it was probably too rotten to survive my younger cousin's first kid (the same cousin who used the swing as a kid decades ago). Good thing we did, most of the timbers snapped right at ground level the second we removed the screws from the frame. My older cousin's younger kid is 18 now so I guess it hadn't been used for almost a decade but no one bothered to remove it (the yard essentially sat dormant for at least five years due to disagreement in the family).
I watch and try to support several boat building videos. The trouble I find is the size of the T shirts. The problem for us lounge chair or ex sailors is that we have expanded around the waist. 4x and 5x t shirts would aid us in supporting you.
Awesome guy's , 😢 about the Jacuzzi, but it great to see you doing what you need to do , and save a truckload of $$$ in the long run, greetings from the yacht Taurangi 2 , New Zealand 👍👍👍✌😊❤

Well done guys, really interesting to see you doing another project, lets face it you need something to keep you busy 😂 its not like Sarinda needs much work doing on her 😂😂
@@ShipHappensUK keep up the great work both of you 👍 you make my week with your videos, it great to see how passionate and skilled you both at doing all your various projects 👏👏👏
nice work, but you forgot to put rebar inside the concrete to keep all that together. Couple stress relievers wouldn't have hurt the project either, like a grooved cross thru the center....in couple years this thing will crack because of the cold and heat, rain and snow variations.....

Nice and tiny, easy to heat
Nice work. You two should be up for “hard grafters of the year” award if there is such a thing.
Nice that you don’t have to worry about frost heaving. Here you would need rebar and mesh in a slab or it wouldn’t last long. Good luck.

I'm in awe!
Being British and watching people doing DIY, I can't help but hear the Ground Force theme in my head 😁
Something so satisfying about laying concrete.
I do enjoy the way the two of you work together and work so hard too. My hat is off to Y'all.
i recycle screws too. i have some that have been used in many different projects in many different apartments over the years.
The one place you have all the power you need ..... and back to using hand tools . 😁
Strong foundations for a promising future. Time stands still for no one. Well done.
Back breaking!
you guys are awesome.
looks like a great start and a good size.

without saying a word, you explained a lot.
As a builder myself, I'm impressed with your graft and finish. Looking forward to the rest of the workshop build.
Great job clearing your pool and shaping the garden ready for the next phase in you busy lives. Hope the kids don’t mind you removing the pool 😊
Been waiting very satisfying watching it coming to fruition,
Everytime I watch you guys I'm almost ready to cry
You work, WAY too hard all the time! You need a episode of rest-relaxation-And, LOTS OF BEER!😅😅
Brilliant! Just shows what a bit of ingenuity and some recycling can achieve!
Good job guys.............

Something a bit different from frame repairs!
No matter what you two do, have to watch.
There’s no end to your talent, what a team 👍.

Another project, hard work and more videos for us , what a good idea 😋 the never-stop family is always on the road 🙂
That’s how you do it. You are realy great and skilled workers. I’m glad i found you on you tube.
Well done,you Pair of workaholics...

Look like it been a while since Simon dived into that in his mankini. 🤣Great to see the workshop build starting. 2x👍
Great job.
Reclaiming your back yard and now you can cut a lot of your traveling down.
And the Galley is close at hand. Lol.
Cheers.
Oh my! Nooooo!😮. Put a tarp down in the van to shovel onto. Makes emptying easier.
Wow! Lots of progress! Looking good! Thanks for the video!
I exhausted from just watching!
That looked like really hard work! Well done, both of you.
Love that you've pulled it on here hate second chanels❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow at it again ! Well done you two
Thank you so much 😀
Boy that van is a real workhorse
Familiar sights....My father used to be a mason and did a lot of DIY at our home Childhood memories. Nice video! = )
Been there- done that! Hard graft in typical British weather! Bet you were both ready for a brew! Well done!
Great job! From experience, I will advise that it is not big enough (and probably never will be).
Looking forward to watching the workshop take shape.
You are an awesome together. Looking good for the new workshop 🙂
good work both
I'm glad you said that it's the base for the shed, I thought it was a hard for Serinda lol 😅😂😂😂
😃😃😃

I haven't spoken to my wife for about 6 months, I do so hate to interrupt her.
Looking good so far. Can't wait to see the rest. 👍
Thanks 👍

A good start to your workshop, nice to see you reusing some of the old wood.
You guys don’t mess around when you’re restoring a shit or demoing a pool. Nice work !
restoring a *shit*? 😳
There was me thinking the lack of verbals was an indication of a falling out!🤣 You guys are grafters.
Nice work
Very interesting, and something different, both of you are great the projects you do is amazing.
Thank you so much!
Awesome work thanks for sharing
I need to go for a lie down now after watching this 🙂 I did put a new roof on my log store today though
Well done! Bet it feels good to have that job ticked off!

Great job you two, hard work but looking good. Great vlog. Stay well.
Thanks so much! 😊
I'm very surprised you didn't have to put reinforcing mesh in the concrete! LOTS of HARD work... Congrats!
Just curious why you didn’t use rebar or some wire
I thought the same ,we wouldn't be allowed to make a slab that size without reo bar.

That Dynamix stuff, what a great way to do concrete, mix it on site so you only pay for the concrete you yous… brilliant!
Hard work! Looking good, can’t wait to see the build

Shouldn't there be some steel mesh in the concrete? I'm just thinking it's a big pad. 😊
