- We find ourselves in a tight spot and Celia gets a bigger home!
This is the story of Jack’s 1930’s Lagonda, Celia. Jack is my dad and his dearest wish is to see his Lagonda back on the road. With help from good friend and professional mechanic Paul, we hope to do just that.

Used to play on a 1927 lagonda.behhind an old lady's house.up on bricks so the wheels turned quite freely.i can remember it had no cover on so the seats were just wire frames.but it did have a handbrake on the outside of the driver and as well as the standard windscreen it had aero screens plus I believe a supercharger on the front.at least it wasn't vandalized.the old lady sead it was her son's who was in the RAF but of course he never came back..this was in the sixties.i passed on my push bike a few times and then one day it was gone.im 74 now and I still remember it. good luck with yours.
What a fabulous story. Cars were so rare then each had its own story. An old car and a vivid imagination would have taken you on magnificent adventures as a child. I have some leads to delve into the history of ours and if I am lucky will be able to show that in a future video.

Please mix up a 50/50 solution of america good old fashioned ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) and acetone and flood the cylinders for 2 to 3 weeks. The drop the oil pan and clean out the old sludged up and waxy oil from the sump. You do not want to be pumping crud through the engine - it will destroy your engine.

@@Reedys_Digest It is a must do o anything sitting decades and you cannot accomplish with just an oil change - I have had to use a wood chisel and a hammer at times to clean out the muck - yes that bad in the sump and a stunning unrestored condition car.
@@Reedys_Digest Automatic transmission fluid and acetone makes a great penetrating oil too - better than the WD-40 you are using.
And you are flooding the cylinders for two to three weeks to “unstick your piston rings”

We are very fortunate and are going gently and carefully with a view to adventures a plenty in the future. I have had my leg much pulled about the wd40. That bottle of wd40 is becoming something of a star in its own right!
