This was definitely a dose of reality video. Upclose and personal views of manure, talk of noxious smells, uncooperative horses, uncooperative scrap metal, and the camera turfing it at least twice. We all need a reminder that your job is not easy.
The horses looked really chill compared to horses I’ve saw with my own eyeballs. But I think that’s cause they’re outside all day/night. Many horse facilities keep their horses in stalls…I imagine being stuck in a cramped space is why they get nervous over everything.
Our neighbor has miniature donkeys and they have pictures days with the donkeys. And At Christmas Santa comes and kids get pictures taken with him and the donkeys.
Nice of Pete to stop by and give an assist. Always good to see him and hear how he's doing. Good deal getting rid of the scrap metal, even though it acted like it wanted to stay.
While doing hoof care you mentioned that you absorbed an unpleasant smell. Then, later in the video your beautiful wife is closely hugging onto you on the ATV! Must be love.❤️
Joel, I love how you explain all the duties of horse care in such depth.. you have a loveing expression in all you do, and its obvious the love you and Megan have for each other❤️. By the way, your quite the handsome man with that beard😊 Blessings to you and family.
Good to see Petey again! If I was rich, I'd love to own a draft horse, but I watched a video from a riding teacher talking about what you have to be prepared for if you own a draft horse and you just reminded me at my age I don't know if I could even lift up a hoof that big anymore. My 20s were 40 years ago. Love to see you and Meagan together! It's like visiting with relatives I don't have. I have siblings, but I'm not like either of them and we're not close at all. I feel more comfortable with the Ochs family than my own, probably because I'm more like my dad and he grew up on a farm. 😂 It was really nice finding your and Andrew's channels and I am thankful you guys work so hard to provide fun content.
Same. I’m not that old but I don’t think I could be a great horse owner unless I had enough land to just keep them outside all day with no blankets like the Amish. 😂 Could always get a couple of donkeys or goats. 😂
Great video 😂 sounds like a normal day on a horse farm. Donkeys knocking down camera cause they think it’s a toy. Joel’s face when the metal knocked down the camera was so funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey there from Alaska! We love your channel. We were introduced to you guys a little over a year ago by my late father. It’s a sweet connection to him watching you guys. To the question: why not put the hoof hardener in a spray bottle rather than use a brush?
Glad petey likes his new job. He is always a cutie. Joel you and your wife are such a caring couple and beautiful people inside and out. If yall choose to have children one day yall will make wonderful parents 🥰
That was awsum,,,thank you for the video,,you know,,,,that was really funny loading the trailer...like so ething I would do,,good job,,,,lol. See you inthenext one,, wayne and pat
My grandfather had them! They were his babies and he raised them from chicks. They used to peck at the button on the top of his hat and try to swallow it, but couldn't get the brim in. I used to watch the food they ate travel down their necks in a lump.
Great video! Totally agree about the chemicals....Kopertox is one potent beast! I have to store mine in a sealed bag apart from everything. Yes, you're so correct about horses wanting to be out more than in their stalls....That's how they were created! I only have 2 mares, and they have a large 3 1/2 walled run in- they can go in or stay out as they please as nature intended. Keep up the good work!! 🐴🐴
Did you always want to work for the family? Tell us about your schooling? Maybe you did before, sorry. Love you all, thanks from Omaha. You always cheer me up and relax me.
I'm curious as to why your horse are all blanketed. I live further north than you and no one blankets their horses unless they are show horses. And those show horse will have their legs wrapped too. And those non-blanketed horse are out day & night too. They come in during a bad storm, like when we got 14" of snow.
Hello Joel , Leah,, What about Rocky & Buster hoofs do you do their’s done? That surprised me the horses didnt get cut on tin . But the horses only go so far on the pasture because of thorn trees and thistle bushes .I seen Petey hello . What kind of job do you have Petey?
May be an off the wall question but I always notice the donkey manure in the same place. Do they do there business in the same place in the stall or does it get stacked there for manure day?
Tucker is so patient having his hoofs worked on. Should you wear a mask when you are applying those chemicals? Lovely sunshine, please could you send some my way. Nice to see Petie again.
Question.... do you guys do the grooming (brushing) of the horses or do their owners come in and to the brushing? Cause many look like they have a lot of dried mud on them. xoxo
Does it cost more to rent a stable for a large horse than a small one? Those of you in the family who have private horses, do you pay for your stable. since you said you now have a waiting list for new horses, have you considered expanding? Fun to see how grown up Pete has become compared to when we first saw him. Love from Norway

Your face took me out when the scrap shifted. I laughed hard enough for some other parents at my kids bus stop to look at me lol.
The donkeys bring joy to your lives… never wasteful, that’s priceless ❤
Nice of Pete to stop by and give an assist. Always good to see him and hear how he's doing. Good deal getting rid of the scrap metal, even though it acted like it wanted to stay.
Kind of a crappy view there for a minute. Ha Ha. Still fun watching you guys work with the horses.
While doing hoof care you mentioned that you absorbed an unpleasant smell. Then, later in the video your beautiful wife is closely hugging onto you on the ATV! Must be love.❤️
Joel says it's not going anywhere has the metal quietly falls off the wagon lol
Hi Pete, glad you’re doing well.
Joel, that was a job loading the scrap.
Buster and Rocky in their little blankets-so cute!
Nice work thanks for sharing
I got tired just watching this…definitely an extra hard day of work.
Cleaning stuff up makes a pretty stable.
Fantastic hardworking day at the stable today. Great work Joel! Always nice to see Petey, I miss him, but glad he’s doing well.😊
My mom used to make beef on toast. The beef came in a jar. It was a depression era food & had another colorful name, @#$% on a shingle!
I really enjoy watching the work with the horses and I did wonder how long we were going to study the large pile of doo doo ha ha
You said "Honey I love you " I thought you were talking about the horse first.
I love your positive attitude about everything Joel. Good to see you Petey. Hi Megan!
Tucker and Samson are beautiful examples of gentle giants. I love to see Petey and Megan at the stables too.
Love how you and the veggie boys help each other !! All y’all are the sweetest hard working family !!! 😀😀
Lala is the best barn dog ever. She listen so well around the horses. She also kinda smiles when you call her scoots... thank you for sharing 🩵✌️
She absolutely loves her nickname, I see it too
Buster and Rocky are the coolest animals on the farm
I always remember the big or lazy horses just shifting and trying to put weight on my back. I'm five five so it was always great
Pooping Declan's Shining Moment, what a masterpiece, perfect Road Apple I've ever seen! 😂
The still shot of joels expression when hes loading the scrap metal 😂 couldnt help but laugh 😂😂 glad your camera and truck are ok 😊
Wow Awesome video The horses are beautiful Love it when your precious wife is in the videos
Thanks Joel! Hi Petey 😊

Gavin needs to bring back the donkey time dance! ❤

6:27 A zebra might be an interesting addition. Or a miniature highland cow. But that might make The Veggie Boys jealous. 😂
I laughed out loud when you put the camera down in Declan’s stall 😂😂😂
Glad to see Petey again!
Great video 😂 sounds like a normal day on a horse farm. Donkeys knocking down camera cause they think it’s a toy. Joel’s face when the metal knocked down the camera was so funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the big guys - Tucker, Sampson and Weather ❤
I think they were playing let’s fool the substitute rep teacher and go to the wrong stall! Lol

Glad petey likes his new job. He is always a cutie. Joel you and your wife are such a caring couple and beautiful people inside and out. If yall choose to have children one day yall will make wonderful parents 🥰

thank you for the donkey info!!
HAHA those donkeys are cute but naughty and knocking down the camera.
Leah is smart, watching horses go out in a safe spot. What’s her story Joel?
So good to see Pete!!
Boy you worked hard today and every day. Enjoyed your video.
Ostriches… it would be interesting to see you bonding with them
My grandfather had them! They were his babies and he raised them from chicks. They used to peck at the button on the top of his hat and try to swallow it, but couldn't get the brim in. I used to watch the food they ate travel down their necks in a lump.
Omg love seeing Petey!!❤❤❤❤
Best close up ever!! 💩 😂
Great video 👍👍
He he ha ha.....you know what you did!💥
The donkeys keep their coats much less muddy than the horses do.

Thank you Joel for the update on Petey!
Beauteous. Truly A Stable Life.😎👍
It’s like Gavin was helping you with the loading. What a hoot
Camels are cool! There’s three places near me in NE Oklahoma that have camels,
Scrap R Us. 😬👍 Metal Prices aren’t Bad and why Not make a little Cash getting Rid of Junk Metal. 🤔👍
That is some good looking horse s***.
Samson is my favorite. You should buy a used washer, I’m a retired roofer and I had a used washer for my work clothes. Miami Hot Tar Roofer !
Venison, S.O.S. !
Make her hold on tight! 😊
Long day lots achieved 👏👏👏👏 Great to see Megan ❤ Petey your are adorable 🤩🤩🤩 Thanks Joel great video again 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x

What was that 😱
Do you plant cover crops on the bare ground? It would help with the mud!
I thought Tucker went back home! Surprised to see him.
He did leave the stable and went home for a while, but he came back
I just love these videos!
What breed is Weather?
The views of Pennsylvania hill and valley so beautiful.... Wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
A Lllooooooooooonnnnnngg day! phew
If those were toddlers, they’d try to pull a fast one when you are on your phone or filming.

i thought Diago was now called frank?

No Poe, no Poe...sorry that made me laugh, so did his bad behavior.
Joel, who keeps track of everyone's hours, bales of hay, etc? Do you report things daily or weekly? That would be an interesting video.
I think you did the horse hockey shot on purpose just so we could the $hit you have to deal with.
Manure!! Do mares has the same natural cycle.as girls. So would honey to old to breed therefore no mood swings ?
Who else looked at their phone when Joel got a call?
I have that ringer tool 😂❤
So what if you showed poop.
We all poop dont we? 😊
