I pulled out drawers to clean a used dresser from a consignment shop and came up with an envelope that had a graduation card and 350.00 in it. I was able to find the recipient and return the money. She had been looking for it for over a year.

100% agree! You could flip your way to $6k each year, maxing out a Roth IRA every January. I've had a lot of success with the company Vanguard (I'm a school psychologist, not a rep for them in any way). My Roth IRA has averaged at about a 12% rate of return over the last 6 years since I set one up.

Hi, I have a tip for you. Whenever you sand an item or piece of furniture you should ALWAYS sand in the direction of the grain. No circular motion!!! It will leave circular marks on the wood & will show thru the stain. Hope yhis helps you. Good Luck!!

I have been watching and learning from you for some time now and you are an inspiration to all "hard working" people. Instead of whining about your student loan debt and waiting for the government or someone to forgive it....you went to work and accomplished it yourself. I was as excited as your great neighbor who purchased the "payoff piece" to watch this episode. Congratulations and continue to be the person you are. Through your channel I feel I know you and am proud to do so. Your students through the years will definitely remember "their kindergarten teacher"! Keep painting and I will keep watching.....

Whenever that happens, try painting the top white, and then use a dark gel stain over that in a dry brush fashion. You will get a finish that looks like you stained it anyway. Or instead of the dry brush, you can use a wood grain tool. I did this on my own antique top that was being super tempermental and wouldn't take the poly with the stain. Had to strip it twice and realized I was gonna have to paint it, but still wanted it to match the set and look stained. It turned out beautiful.

You almost had me! I’m glad I kept watching. You’re videos relax me at the end of a stressful day of being a nurse in a pediatric congenital heart catheterization lab. I always enjoy the transformation of the furniture and you have a very relaxing voice🥰

Congratulations Lauren in paying off your student loans, a major accomplishment!! Continue to teach and touch the lives of millions of teachers out there that can benefit from the assistance and initiate the steps in flipping furniture. I would like to try and do this considering I live in a second story apartment. I need to pay off a credit card and have additional funds available during my retired years. Keep up with the videos!!

My mom is a teacher. She has taught theater, English, and is currently teaching and working with exceptional education children. She is such an inspiration. Her student loan debt has been killing her and it's so sad that teachers have to deal with that. Thank you for what you are doing!
