After teaching for 46 years, I retired and lost my purpose in life. Found your channel and I'm Hooked on flipping furniture!!! I've only sold 6 pieces so far but the thrill I get when people pick them up is awesome. My best find was when an NFL player moved and threw out tons of furniture>Touchdown!!!!

I’m surprised that there wasn’t more interest in the hutch. That was my favorite piece you’ve done so far.

I agree ☝️ I feel like the hutch was absolutely gorgeous and I would have paid waaaay more for it then what she sold it for . I wish she lived closer because I would of paid a good amount for that beautiful piece .

@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher i hope you give yourself another goal. Working towards a goal has given your channel a new and original aspect that has made you stand out. Maybe your next goal could be a down-payment on a house. If you already own a house then maybe a fun wedding. 😉 my daughter was married 7 yrs ago on the weekend of Halloween. Everyone came in costume. She wore beautiful wings with her wedding dress. Abe & Mary Todd Lincoln attended a well as Mother Nature, Mary Poppins, Jane & Michael & Bert. We even had the dude from Caddyshack there. He of course had the gopher as his plus 1.
A Hallowedding isn't for everyone but it proved that a wedding could be way more fun than the traditional celebration. I'm sure I'm not the only fan that would love to follow you as you work towards a wedding goal. 😉 just sayin'

Love what you're doing. Here's a couple of tips: Alway sand in a circular motion. It makes the finish much smoother. Always change out the foam on cushions. Don't neglect this step as foam can hide many nasty things. Where you can, change out any protective plastic or rubber tips on the bottom of furniture legs. It looks much better if they are not scratched and scuffed up. Best wishes.

I can't believe people are paying almost as much for old upolsterd worn down chairs as they do for a beautifully refinished dresser or hutch! When you showed those chairs you were working on I was like there's no way you can make decent money off of them! But you made so much money on them! Lol. Amazing.

I'm so impressed with your skills and talent along with paying off your student debt. I just retired 3 months ago after working in a High School for the past 20 years. My youngest daughter is also a Middle School Band Director since 2013. She went to a private university and in spite of the money we put towards her education and the scholarships she earned, she still graduated with $80,000 in student debt. I'm a CPA, so I suggested to her that when she graduates, she could continue to live at home as long as it took to pay off her loans, as long as the majority of her paycheck went to her loans. We put together a budget for her to pay her car expenses, insurance and fun money. Everything else went straight to pay off her loans. She made her final loan payment 2.5 years after graduating and was sooooo thankful for my advice and support. Have been enjoying all of your videos.

This is an awesome video for two reasons.
    1) Instead of being a victim of debt, you’re working hard to make sure it’s paid back and that you do it in a timely manner. Hard work does pay off!!
    2) The skill set you have and are perfecting can be used for income and/or for fun and personal projects for years to come. Once you pay off your debt, you can start contributing to an IRA, and small business owners can actually contribute more than a standard employee.
Truly amazing! Good and beautiful work as well! Congrats!!

      Love it. So inspiring.
I remember how long to pay off student loans. Quite a while. In my final stint, I babysat, and every check went straight to my student loan! It felt great!

You’re such an encouragement to me, I started flipping furniture just before Christmas 2020, my initial goal was a new custom dining table and chairs. I was able to achieve that goal in February. I live in a small town in Georgia. The market is sometimes slow.....but God is good slow but sure. I so enjoy this hobby as I’m retired and raising my grandson it’s all a blessing. I too have supportive husband that is always ready to help.

Lauren, I’m so happy for you! What a great accomplishment. As a furniture flipper myself, I know how hard you work. I love the way you take your time and up cycle each piece with love and care. You do it the right way, not taking any short cuts. Keep up the good work, your student loan will be behind you in no time! I’ll keep watching. Love from NC!

You are a young lady with integrity, a grateful spirit, a delightful personality and a determination to reach your goals. Thankful you were able to get your nice truck without having a financial debt. The young man helping you is certainly doing a great job also. May God continue to bless you in achieving all you are led to do. You are a blessing to me also.

Thank you for being a teacher! I bet your students love you and learn so much! My family has lots of teachers, including my daughter and another daughter getting her Master’s in education. Teachers shouldn’t HAVE to have a side hustle! Of course, many do. My teacher daughter has a couple! I admire your hard work, warmth and success. And I’m always grateful to all teachers who do not get the credit they deserve.

I love your channel ! I stumbled onto it by accident and now I’m hooked! I have a lot of teachers in my family and I used to be a TA at a school for special needs. Huge props for being a teacher but even more for your hustle to pay off your student loans! It’s refreshing to see someone working so hard to take care of their finances! Lastly, you inspire me to want to flip furniture, I just don’t have the space so I will be content watching you! LOVE the shirts but wish you had bigger sizes, I was excited to get one but need larger. 😢

I’m so excited for you! Your’s and Nieman’s hard work is really paying off. If you’re not careful you might just end up having money for a house. I started crafting a little bit in December and I am considering flipping a couple of my kitchen chairs to see what I think about it. Because of your inspiration I’m going to give it a try. It might be a month or two, I have acquired so much crafting material that I have got to use it! Lol Thanks for bringing us on this journey with you, it’s been fun watching and learning. 💕
