Sleep is underrated. I can say from past intense work schedules, sleeping 4-5 hours per night over a long period takes its toll on you. Sleep is medicine for your brain.
For the past 4 years I've worked in a similar situation, only getting 2-4 hours of sleep. I was practically narcoleptic for awhile. I still don't sleep that much but I'm no longer falling asleep while walking. I keep telling myself I'll take better care of myself when I get a better job, whenever that will be.
For anyone wondering, the author of this story is Holly Ice. She writes horror, fantasy stories. The Russian sleep experiment was made by her. People never give her credit and it is mind blowing the fact that nobody to this day still don’t know.
As an ex drug addict i can say the longest i went without sleeping was 5 days. But over the course of about 5 months i would only sleep every second day or third day. Basically i was sleeping maybe twice over the course of a week for months and working 12 hour shifts 4 days a week. But on the time i was up 5 days straight after about 5 months of barley sleeping i started hallucinating and getting paranoid. Seeing things that weren't there. Anyways i locked myself in my room for 3 months and cut off all contact with friends and now im 5 years sober :)
Congratulations on your sobriety! That is truly an amazing accomplishment and even though we don't know each other, I'm SO incredibly proud of you! Keep it up!
@deathgrinderb3284 so true, during covid I couldn't eat, drink or sleep for 5 days. Started coughing up.blood, so went to ER, they didn't even give me an IV for fluids, threw a warm blanket at me, literally, and scolded me for NOT getting a Vax...F U medical specialists
Ya I can feel you there, at day 4 for me I started hearing voices either talking to me or having a conversation within me. I remember telling them to stop but it was to no use. 10 years sober :)
This has to be considered the greatest creepypasta of all time. Everyone believes it's real. It sounds plausible, that's the terrifying part. Humans are curious and cruel.
facts dude the fact that this story is believable goes to show how fucked and corrupt that we believe the human mind is. that people could have the capability to torture people like this. i dream of a day that i can write a story with such believably
I had a friend of mine who works in the medical field to read this a couple years ago. He said it has the potential to be 100% real. If the gas they used was vaporized meth, which is also plausible because the Russians used to use meth at that same time period to keep their soldiers alert for long stretches of time, that kind of reaction would be likely.
@@ofox716 meth can keep you up indefinitely too. I was a meth addict and I would have to force myself to stop using it on day 4 so i could crash and pass out for 24hrs. I would get so paranoid and weird after 3 days, I made it 4 once but never let that happen again...it was so scary and my paranoia was off the charts. Meth makes you paranoid to begin with and then add sleep deprivation to the mix.
After 3 days of sleeplessness, I easily got severe anxiety and breathing becomes difficult. Also walking almost feels like a painful floating, you’ll mildly hallucinate. Not a lot of fun
I remember being up for 3 days one time with bad experiences trying to keep my dog to not tear stitches out,(I had to work hard shifts two of the days oof) and by day 3 when my mom asked if she needed to come home early to help or anything I just started sobbing - I wasn't even upset over anything really, my brain had just dropped to this point that I couldn't hold it together. It's not fun! I agree!
and here i thought 2 days already too much... hallucinating started after the first day and started hearing pulses rises and weakening around my head (mostly behind ears) , floaty feeling, numb tummy (not starving or wanna eat at all), and everything seems slow. i got irl lag. maybe ppl with some medication and sleepless nights can relate :v

I went 7 days without sleep when I was detoxing from opiates. It really fucks with your basic cognitive processing. Wouldn't wish it against my worst enemy
That’s awesome that you made it through, saying it’s “not easy” is a gross understatement, and most don’t make it because of how incredibly difficult it is. After my first back surgery, I think I was up to 5-days, but day 4 started to become easier. I didn’t realize how hard it was until kicking nicotine, and that was like a joke compared to it! Did you end up dealing with PAWS or losing sleep again? I hope not, but curious. Be well, and stay awesome!
@@jayrose6312 well after kicking opiates, unfortunately I got into benzos in a real bad way. Eventually when I kicked benzos, the withdrawals made the opiate withdrawals look like a runny nose. I had a grand mal seizure, almost died. But that was the wake up call I guess I needed. It all worked out for the best. Thank u for your kind words.
My great grandfather was a political prisoner in Russia after the Russian Revolution. The prisoners were tortured with sleep deprivation. Basically all the prisoners had to stand up all the time, so they couldn't sleep. They learnt to sleep standing up 5 minutes at a time hiding behind another prisoner so that the guards won't see they were sleeping. My great grandfather eventually got released from the prison and deported from Russia. He then came back to our homeland, got married had 6 kids and my grandfather told me the story. So I think this story actually might have some real life inspiration behind it, as sleep deprivation is something that has been used to torture people.
It's incredible watching this older content and then comparing it to the new content. You've greatly improved in both storytelling and production value and its cool to see that transition. Truly a master of your craft! Keep going!
Had that happen in 4th grade during a sleepover with some friends. I ended up getting a hitler stache drawn on my face and the next day at school I got in school suspension (iss), had my parents called, and had to explain to 3 disappointed people that it was just a prank my friends pulled on me.
I went 9 days without sleep once (former drug addiction), and I will say that it ... did not end well. Began to have auditory hallucinations and (for a very short spell before reality slapped me in the mouth) started to believe that people were literally reading my mind. It was genuinely terrifying to me, how close I came to a serious exit from sanity. The lesson to take home from this kids ? DON'T DO METH !!!

The greatest experiment ever done. By that, I mean it's amazing how many people actually still believe it was a real thing that truly happened. One of the best creepypastas in existence.
@@DanielFellner810 the “typical human reaction” is to believe what other people think is real, despite the fact that it isn’t, mob mentality’s real o-o also, how can you be present during a fictional event, especially 80 years ago? The best part about this story is that it's actually believable. Fictional (as far as we know), yet grounded in a horrifying realism that people pretend doesn't exist.
Anyone who knows history knows stuff like this goes on all the time. The USA did a similar thing with blacks that had syphilis. He did a story on that one too. The CIA also loaded people with LSD at one point to run tests on them. Humans are disgusting creatures who absolutely froth at the mouth trying to play God.
Exactly and even though this particular story isnt true, it's still terrifying because there has been things similar that has happened before because there used to be all kinds of morbid crazy experiments done to humans during wars and stuff
have you heard of a disease called "fatal insomnia" quite rare , but its a genetic disease, hits around a certain age i believe in your thirties but i could be wrong, where you suddenly can no longer sleep , it goes on for months until you die

I like how the real experiment here was by Mr Ballen - see how many bail before completion and write it off as creepy pasta story and never see that he actually acknowledges it as creepy pasta! Good one.
People say it's a creepypasta not because he doesn't mention it in the video or people don't stay long enough to hear it, it's because he doesn't mention it in the TITLE which makes it absolutely misleading.
I knew going in this was not a true story and it was still pretty creepy. That said, my wife and I are working out way through the old episodes (not really in any order) and we’re both glad you settled on true stories. And we really enjoyed the strange, oddly uplifting and mysterious episode about the animals. The crow story is absolutely amazing. More of those would be most welcome, and I suspect there are a large number of us out here that would appreciate having them thrown our way on occasion!
Actually there are 2 trailers here on TH-cam that indicate these movies are about this experiment. One is called “The Sleep Experiment” and the other is called “The Russian Experiment”.
It's a weird dilemma tbh. Often to learn something new, you must destroy something, especially in biology. We only got to learn about human body because we had corpses at our disposal. Had we been so morally uptight, modern medicine would be practically non-existent. To this day, med schools use bodies for demonstration. I know it's a little fucked up, but it is what it is. That's how humanity has progressed over the years
Methamphetamine was used by the Germans, the US gave Benzedrine or something similar to bomber crews on long flights for bombing raids, stimulant drugs were used by basically every country in the war
This is a creepy pasta. It’s terrifying. And I CAN imagine such an experiment being conducted. Not ONLY by the Russians. Americans, Chinese, Middle East countries, European countries etc.

When I was in Uni I was barely sleeping as I just had so many projects to do. I had pulled another all nighter not thinking anything of it when I started hallucinating. I saw little goblins, worms and shadows sprinting in my vision. I was so out of it I didn't feel fear, just overwhelming exhaustion watching these various things move around me. Sleep deprivation is one of the scariest things a human can experience.
3rd year uni for me- 24 day long exam period and I somehow ended up with 5 of my 6 exams in the first four days. Four consecutive all nighters later and all I remembered was the material for the last exam and where I lived. I was told later that I had multiple conversations with people on my rez floor [I don't remember any of these conversations] where I forgot the names of people who are still my friends today many years later.
“They had to give them 10x the dosage of anaesthetic to get him to go to sleep” “And the doctors have no idea why these two men had died as soon as they fell alseep”
I have had sleep problems my whole life. But I’ll talk about the recent issue: I’m also in the military. Recently I had to pull 24 hour duty back to back. I’d been doing this with intermittent breaks for about 6 months. I had had a stretch of not pulling this duty, and I was so anxious and full of dread when I knew I had to go back. On day two of this duty, day TWO, I called my partner having a mental breakdown, crying, so suicidal that I was terrified of myself. I was so tired that I just wanted to die so I could sleep. It was a horrible day. It takes me weeks to recover and get back to a normal schedule after each time.
@@carlellis242 it really was. Hallucinations are an effect of sleep deprivation for everyone but I start hallucinating after two days of not sleeping properly. And it sucks. But it’s been a year and I’m getting used to it.
I have acute insomnia that pops up from time to time. Like barely any sleep in 3-day stretches, so I can relate. Xanax is the only thing guaranteed to put me down during those times, and obviously that gets dicey.

An experiment like that doesn't sound too far off, even if this one is just a myth. People don't realize how quickly humans can adapt to our environment. When I lived in a location where it was always cold, 42 degrees Fahrenheit felt warm. Now that I live somewhere more tropical, 70 degrees Fahrenheit or less feels cold. I've also heard about how some Sherpas have adapted to breathing thinner air due to living at higher altitudes/ working as mountain guides. Sleep is one of those tricky subjects since everyone is different, but I think we can all agree that staying up 40 hours or longer isn't good for your mind in the slightest.
I live in one of the highest altitude towns in Montana. I the couple times I've been the the western coast, like Seaside and Lincoln OR, my asthma was pretty much non-existent. After the first few months of living in MT, didn't even notice the thin air. The human body is pretty adept at adaptation
I agree im from Quebec and i can tell you at the end of autumn 3 degree celsius feels really cold and at the beginning of spring 3 degree celsius feels really hot
I was born and raised in Michigan, and it gets COLD here-being so far north and literally surrounded by lakes, especially. My godson and his family moved to Atlanta when he was born. Within about a year and a half, they were freaking out that I didn’t have a leather jacket, scarf, hat, and gloves on while visiting for his birthday and Thanksgiving… when it was about 60℉ in November in Atlanta. Blew my mind how fast their comfort levels changed, and I was laughing so hard because there were 3 feet of fresh snow, and it was about 30℉ back home in Detroit. And these new “southerners” were telling me I needed to buy a winter coat to wear down there. lol
While this is totally true, when I moved from MA to AZ I could NOT adapt to the heat. Lived there for 4 years and it wasn’t happening. Hell is hot because the heat SUCKS 🥵

@Jude Jackson it’s from an old movie film called The Man Who Laughs (1928) based of Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name. The film inspired future monster movie films along with inspiring the Joker and graphic novel Batman: The Man Who Laughs, and the Dark Night Joker. Heath Ledger pays tribute to the film when he talks about his scars. It is a very good film and novel the picture is the main character Gwynplaine. I don’t know if you wanted that big explanation but anyway there you have it.
i read this story online a couple of years ago. still haunts me... there's a detail that i missed in your telling of the story. at one point the remaining survivor ( i think) after all the struggeling in and out of the chamber came eye to eye with a nurse. and though the flesh was ripped from his face, she could still tell by the twinkel in his eyes that he was smiling when seeing her. that made my blood run cold...
I went a little over 48 hours with no sleep during a crisis response at work. I remember going into the bathroom multiple times to do nothing but vomit. It was one of the worst feelings of my life- sleep deprivation is no joke that’s for sure
The dying when they fall asleep is due to hypotension or extremely low blood pressure. Being amped up for that long puts massive stress on the heart so it’s like a rebound effect once the stimulus has left the body. When you sleep your heart rate has to slow down. In this case it probably slowed all the way down and was unable to pump enough blood. The heart is a muscle and just like when you work out a muscle it has to recover. I’m sure this is true or some version of this. This is similar to what happens in stimulant psychosis. These men all had to have a psychotic break in the situation severe sleep deprivation will do this.
This is the first time I've heard of shadow people, I work security on the midnight shift, and when employees go out the north side of the building to take a break, we see the moving shadows as we call them, some time's they're more active then others, we always ask the people coming back in on how the shadows are doing? We have no clue what it could be, we pretty much have gotten used to them, and none of us are in to occult or unique activities, everyone is pretty much family orientated. It is a weird feeling though, they have no shape, just a moving shadow.

Yes I remember seeing a university lecturer from America who’s brain stopped releasing the hormone that induces sleep, he went down hill so rapidly, it was pretty terrifying to watch
I remember going 60 hours or so without sleep during college. After a couple days without sleep, I started hallucinating. Like I’d see movement in my peripheral vision, but when I’d turn and look, nothing was there. I can’t even imagine the level of paranoia you’d have going a whole week or longer without sleep. I’d honestly guess that going much longer than I did might cause permanent cognitive problems.
If you had stayed awake much longer you could have started seeing shadow people. Look it up, it is a common hallucination. It can be triggerd by certain drugs, by sleep paralysis, sleep depravation and drugs that cause sleep depravation such as amphetamines.
I once read a Reddit post asking people what they experienced during sleep-deprivation. Most of them said Shadow People. Just like you mentioned. It would start off in the periphery. Then after another day or two of no sleep, the Shadow People would become fully visible to them. They started hallucinated more intensely. MY THEORY: Sleep is what keeps our psyche separated from "the other side". When we don't sleep, the curtain starts to thin out... which is why we start catching glimpses only. The curtain thins more and we start seeing the Shadow People more clearly. And if you go enough days without sleep, you literally die. That's a real thing. Fatal familial insomnia is a real thing. It's an incurable insomnia. Even sleep medication or anesthesia doesn't work on them. They sleep fewer and fewer hours over months or years, until they eventually can't sleep AT ALL. They die shortly after that stage. (Don't worry, it super rare though. You need to have a certain gene for it, too).
I had severe insomnia as a kid, and I mean severe. Most nights I only slept an hour or two, and some weeks I went days without sleeping at all. The longest I ever went without sleep was a little more than 6 days, and by the end I was full on hallucinating people, animals, demons, everything. I was super jumpy, but I was so paranoid I thought I had to make sure the hallucinations didn't know I could see them, so I tried my best not to let on. So I just watched these things out of the corner of my eye, trying not to let anyone or anything notice I'm in the middle of a week long panic attack.
Yeah I thought this was nonfiction how unfortunate but fortunate at the same time since I need something like to study for a future project for writing
@@tiffanystarbeck2279 yep teachers showed it to us in 10th grade and we are glued to our seats and the worst part is we had to watch it everyday for 4 days for a packet we were doing to answer wat was happening in the video
Just a hypothesis, i'd say that the subjects had an overdose of the gas inside the chamber. Let's say on the 4th day mark that's when the brain began being active above the limit (4 days without sleep) and maybe their brains somehow got accustomed at staying awake to the point where blinking becomes too 'comfortable' to take a rest, insanity kicks in and the gas becomes an addiction of some sort for the subjects. If for even a moment they try to sleep their brain would've taken a total 'shutdown', ceasing all activities in the body (might be because the brain is taking a long rest than usual which is more than 8 hours needed) But then again, yes they had enough food and water, so once i again, i repeat, THIS IS JUST A HYPOTHESIS, maybe supply of food and water we're infected in the chamber (possibly stored in there since the first day until the last, the purpose of the experiment was to ensure if the gas was safe for exposure in war camps)
This is old but still creepy just imagine being one of the people in the experiment. You get put into a experiment with 5 other people it seems normal but then you realize you cant sleep. Everyone around you starts to get skinny and start eating themselves by ripping out their flesh with their hands the sink gets flooded and the room is very terrific now. If you are still sane in that situation then you are very unlucky and would scream a lot. Afraid of what the others would do would they attack you would they gain back their sanity what would they do that would definitely chip away at your sanity even if its only for 15 days.
Your hallucination story brings back memories. It is one of the strangest feelings in the world as the hallucinations start. It is when you think to yourself 'hang on, this is not right', you realise your hallucinating. Training to get around that and to keep full concentration is one of the hardest things I have had to do. On top of that, add the difficulty of mental and physical tests.
There are two movies I can think of where lack of sleep actually had an effect on the characters that was in a way, life threatening One of them was a Batman movie or episode where a villain would attack Batman in his sleep or possess him or something so Batman did a bunch of stuff to stay awake (drink a lot of coffee, blast music at full volume, punch out a window in the bat mobile) and the second is the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake where the characters would suffer from something called “Microsleep” where for a brief few seconds they’d fall asleep and would be vulnerable long enough for Freddy Krueger to actually scare them and probably could’ve even killed them if he was fast enough
When I was in 4th or 5th grade I went to a primary school in England which had an experimental curriculum. Students were allowed to choose their own projects. This was 1970 or 1971 so nearly all the boys chose projects related to World War 2 because we thought it was cool. One of our teachers, Mr Carradine was a WW2 vet and this obsession with the war really upset him. So he brought us a book which showed Japanese troops performing experiments and extreme torture in British troops. This included piercing them with barbed wire then water boarding them. If course as kids we weren't upset, it was like watching a cartoon. Mr Carradine was so upset that he ran around the classroom picking up desks and throwing them across the room. We didn't see him for a while.
ohh your post brings back memories to me. I had a high school teacher who ended up acting exactly the same way, picking up the desks and throwing them who then ended up having to go on leave for a long time. Us students caused his breakdown as we did whenever we could make him get cross as his ears and cheeks would go bright red when angry or upset, so we'd purposely try to make him get mad to see the colour change (he was actually the sweetest teacher).
@@tanyabrown9839 in my next school we had a young and rather timid female music teacher. The bullies in the class decided to try and give her a nervous breakdown. The unofficial plan included seeing who could spit the furthest in class. Poor girl didn't last long.

Honestly, this creepypasta always gives me trauma. I had a friend who had extremely severe insomnia and he was awake for 8 days straight. On day 3 he started hallucinating and I had to help his family take care of him. Finally we got him in to a doctor and the doctor gave him some heavy duty sleeping pills and he became narcoleptic for about 4 days, only waking up to eat, shower, and interact with his family for a couple hours every day
Or that super severe insomnia that makes you unable to sleep permanently. Until you die. Fuck that man. Would just shoot myself or hope someone else would .-.
This is so fake because insomnia doesn’t make u stay awake theres 2 types 1 which is where u struggle to sleep but u do eventually sleep and 2 where u can only sleep for a certain amount of time and they are caused by ur brain levels primary insomnia isn’t understood well but secondary is caused by stress so this isn’t insomnia my guy it’s probably sleep paralysis or something

These are two very different things. Sleep paralysis is where you're partially asleep. Some functions in your brain are still going. This is where people see shadow people standing over them or feel things outside of their window. And because you're only half asleep, people often wake themselves up out of these states. To very religious people, this is often considered being possessed by a demon. If you're trying to converse with or correct other people you need to ensure you do 2 things. 1. Make sure you read what they say and respond properly... which you didnt do. 2. Make sure you know the definitions of the words you're trying to correct... which you don't know and a very basic google search for both of these terms, will show you that you're wrong on both accounts.
There's a lot of variations of this story... The picture that everyone uses though is an animatronic from a horror shop that was called "spazm." The story is definitely fake though... At least the details of the experiment. If they did do something like it keeping people awake it wouldn't be anything like this as there's no way they could've created the "stimulant gas" in the manner the story claims back then.
Don't underestimate human capability...that's around the same time as the creation of the atom bomb, creating an unsuccessful stimulant gas in that manner would be a piece of cake compared to correctly splitting a atom, and plus, ww2 is not that long ago
@@c.kitoko I don't think you understand what I mean... To actually create such a gas and means of dispersal the evenly distributeb it would require a severely complicated setup even without accounting for the movement and breathing of the people within the chamber or general mechanical complications... Keep believing wherever you want though... I won't stop you.
@@boingophish Right... I'll trust someone just because they tell me to even against the research I've done on the subject... As ballin said there might be aspects of the story that are true, but very unlikely that every aspect of the story is true; and especially the more extreme details. Although hey, if you have evidence feel free to present it otherwise I'm going to hold my opinion.
@@damegataco I mean yeah the story is majority fabrication but your reasoning is just dumb. Movement and breathing would help disperse it evenly not hurt.... Why do you think you stir tea or shake something make with concentrates? To disperse it evenly. As for if its possible for them to have made a stimulant gas back then. There is absolutely no reason they couldn't have. Stimulants existed and the technology to isolate and transport gasses existed.
Its not a creepy pasta its a book a fiction author published. This isn't real but there were very real experiments that were done during the 30's and 40's that were as horrific as this.
During the Crucible at Paris Island we were allowed a few minutes of sleep every night. My adrenaline was running so high that I never slept the entire time. I remember marching back from the Crucible and seeing what I thought were totem poles with the carvings of evil looking faces. They were just trees and light poles. And seeing shadows move around too, lol. The mind will screw with you if you go without sleep for a period of time!
Yeah similar thing happened to me hadn’t slept properly for a week due to exams, I went on a walk after the final exam and just imagined all of the angels in Heaven mocking me
After just finding this channel and binge watching.... did I just find one of his first vids? You’ve gotten sooooooo much better. With the back drops and flow of talking.
Once when I was 19-20 I worked overnight, and I have pretty serious insomnia. Over the course of that year, I progressively had worse and worse sleep. I went from 7 hours to 6 to 5 to 4 and so on. It got so bad that I was getting about 3 hours of sleep a week. I would see my dead childhood dog, hear crickets in the middle of February (in Pennsylvania), colors would invert as I would be watching them, and I would jump entire DAYS without any memory. The longest I was up for was 10 days and when I told my doctor, he initially didn't believe me. Eventually, after I convinced him that I was telling him the truth, he told me that he would write me the strongest sleeping pill prescription that he could. And he also told me that if I hadn't gotten any sleep in the next 6 hours, my kidneys would shut down, then my liver, then my bowel, then my other organs until eventually my heart would just stop. So yeah, sleep deprivation sucks

Sleep is underrated. I can say from past intense work schedules, sleeping 4-5 hours per night over a long period takes its toll on you. Sleep is medicine for your brain.
That's pretty obvious. Your cells can't renew themselves without sleep.
Well said.
@@mrsx7944 Thai Ngoc: shut up no one asked
You get that much sleep? That’s great, even better if it’s 4-5 hours in a row.
I never knew the name, thank you!! Now I can check more of her writing. :)

Keep it up!

the fact that this story is believable goes to show how fucked and corrupt that we believe the human mind is. that people could have the capability to torture people like this. i dream of a day that i can write a story with such believably
I agree!

An experiment like that doesn't sound too far off, even if this one is just a myth. People don't realize how quickly humans can adapt to our environment.

When you start seeing shadow people that's when you know it's time to get some sleep.
Or when your voice sounds like it's coming from a PA system lol
This guy knows. It gets real scary after day 3.
These men all had to have a psychotic break in the situation severe sleep deprivation will do this.
or ya lay of the coke
This is the first time I've heard of shadow people, I work security on the midnight shift, and when employees go out the north side of the building to take a break, we see the moving shadows as we call them, some time's they're more active then others, we always ask the people coming back in on how the shadows are doing? We have no clue what it could be, we pretty much have gotten used to them, and none of us are in to occult or unique activities, everyone is pretty much family orientated. It is a weird feeling though, they have no shape, just a moving shadow.
Keep doing creepypastas, you're solid at it. The plausibility of them makes them good.

and why I had sleep paralysis
@@mattislindehag3065 Oh absolutely. After my experience, that wouldn’t surprise me at all.
I didn't see shadow people, but I did see giant aliens in a parking lot jumping rope once, after 50+ hours awake.
@@ElessaB Thats a new one.

If for even a moment they try to sleep their brain would've taken a total 'shutdown', ceasing all activities in the body (might be because the brain is taking a long rest than usual which is more than 8 hours needed)
But then again, yes they had enough food and water, so once i again, i repeat, THIS IS JUST A HYPOTHESIS, maybe supply of food and water we're infected in the chamber (possibly stored in there since the first day until the last, the purpose of the experiment was to ensure if the gas was safe for exposure in war camps)

One of them was a Batman movie or episode where a villain would attack Batman in his sleep or possess him or something so Batman did a bunch of stuff to stay awake (drink a lot of coffee, blast music at full volume, punch out a window in the bat mobile) and the second is the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake where the characters would suffer from something called “Microsleep” where for a brief few seconds they’d fall asleep and would be vulnerable long enough for Freddy Krueger to actually scare them and probably could’ve even killed them if he was fast enough

If they did do something like it keeping people awake it wouldn't be anything like this as there's no way they could've created the "stimulant gas" in the manner the story claims back then.

It’s not that well written.
@@Phantom-of-Tallon-IV depends on who is telling it.
@@aquawoelfly While whoever is telling it can affect how scary it is, that doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t well written. It’s a creepypasta, not a generic idea that people tell their own versions of. It’s almost always copied word for word, hence the name.
@@Phantom-of-Tallon-IV agreed the closer you stay to the original work the better it sounds. But this version is not my favorite.
