Who the heck is leaving dislikes? Are you not fans of the strange, dark, and mysterious in story form? If not, then what the hell are you doing here??!
People asking for him to be on Netflix shouldn’t. They would rush him to do episodes and they’d ruin it for him Him doing it as a TH-cam channel and doing it at his own pace is what makes his context chefs kiss
Agreed. This is the best storyteller out there for me… I absolutely love the strange dark and mysterious as this channel reps. And I’ve yet to come across a better story teller anywhere. ANYWHERE. 😊
@@marylyncorwin8934 You don't know if you will have Sleep Paralysis. It just happens. I've had it happen way too many times. Sometimes it's worse than other times. I wake up with the WORST most INTENSE feeling of fear I have ever felt!! My Psychiatrist had to prescribe me medicine that stops you from dreaming because of how often it was happening.
I've had it,it happens when I forget a certain medication, there was never anything supernatural going on but other people have had different experiences that are seemingly paranormal. I just haven't experienced any of that nut I'd sure like to avoid it
I think it’s the intricate details of Mr Ballen’s stories that pulls you in. He paints the picture of the story until you’re there. You’re under water, or in the room, or in the cave, or lost in the forest, etc. Scary as hell and fascinating at the same time.
Hell yeah. With Mr B I find I’m often hearing new details to any number of stories I’ve previously heard elsewhere. He seems to sniff out all these extra bits of info like a truffle pig. I’m super appreciative. Dudes either making up additions to these stories {haha}, or, he’s one mighty fine little investigator & does his research well. 😁
Sometimes I gotta turn the cave diving stories off cause he's so vivid in his storytelling 😊. Love it!! But then I turn them back on, cause he's so hot. Lolllll
That sleep paralysis story was terrifying. The part that made me feel so uneasy was his mom asking who was running around the house. I had chills all over my body
Cool stories, wish me a happy Birthday, today I turn 70 years of age. I was up visiting mom at the nursing home yesterday, she wished me a happy birthday and gave me a hug, it was like old times. She is 95 and still going strong despite the 4 heart attacks she has suffered since Christmas.
So sorry that this birthday wish is late Jerry Ericsson. I hope you have many more wonderful happy birthday wishes from your mom. I’m 51 years old, but I feel 75-80. Hard life, lol. I hope this message finds you still celebrating even though it’s a week late. God bless you and all your family and your mom. I know that seeing you on your birthday was the highlight of her year. Mother’s love their children no matter how old they get they are still our babies.
Story 3 has an update. A month after OP’s second encounter, the mom had an encounter in the guest room. She heard voices and footsteps, but she didn’t see the lady. She collected antiques, and believed that one of them caused this so she threw them out.
@DAEMON MCGAULEY mate this man has me switching lights on when I go and get a drink past midnight in my apartment 😂 and all of a sudden my bed side drawer is a tool kit
I'm 34 years old, and i've never been afraid of the dark since I was maybe 4 or 5 or so. Yet here I am rolling myself up into a bed burrito with my blankets at night ever since watching these videos. And I love it.
@@ma-pf9lx I’ve had sleep paralysis since I was 7 years old. When I was a kid it started with violent animations of sorts. As I got older they became very demonic related. Watch the documentary “The nightmare” by Rodney Ascher. That pretty much sums it all completely. That documentary really answered a lot of my doubts. During sleep paralysis, you’re halfway in the process of between sleep & still being awake.
Was hoping I would be the 200th like on this comment. I really had to battle the urge to wait for someone else to be 199 so I could get the 200th like😭😭😭
In case it’s helpful, I heard you can make sleep paralysis less likely by not sleeping flat on your back. So prop yourself up quite a bit with pillows when sleeping. I don’t know if it was the only solution, but it helped me after I had a bad continuous streak of sleep paralysis.
I used to have it happen about once a year about 20 years ago. Went on for about 6 or 7 years. Absolute terror and sheer agony! Hasn't happened in quite some time and hopefully never does again. Not being able to move but being mentally awake while having an unnatural and overwhelming sense of dread and impending mortal doom is so fucking scary. I cannot find words for that sensation but obviously, you know already.
It's been a while but it used to happen to me a lot. Only a couple times did I have hallucinations and then they were mainly audible. Very scary though. Just not being able to move or speak.
During my highschool and college days, it happened to me almost every night. I had exactly similar experience like in this story but in my case it was a little gir, who happened to visit me multiple times and sits on my chest. Whenever I narrate my stories to my friends, I'm reminded of the giggling sound of the little girl and still gives me goosebumps to these days. I started sleeping on my sides and the occurrence has become less frequent. Moving toes + fingers and praying helps me in my case. It may well be related to genes since my dad and atleast 4 of my close male relatives also died while sleeping after experiencing sleep paralysis and my elder brother also experiences sleep paralysis.. but whenever I pray before i sleep, it never hardly happens. So for people experiencing sleep paralysis, i encourage you to pray even if you don't believe in it cos' it does helps.
@@nursekimmie77 Young kids 'lie' they don't do it out of malice or disrespect they just don't completely understand the difference between their imagination and reality yet, or they assume who they are talking to are into the 'play time' of the story they are sharing.

If anyone suffers sleep paralysis regularly, this may help: As a teenager I would get sleep paralysis 3-4 nights a week and started to document and study it. The general gist of what I've learned is that the hallucinations are caused by a sort of feedback loop, i.e. waking up helpeless and paralyzed brings fear, the fear causes hallucinations, they then cause more fear, which causes the hallucinations to become more vivid, and so on and so on. To fight sleep paralysis you have to prevent or break the loop. It seems the easiest way to do that is by just succumbing to/accepting the worst possible outcome. Tell yourself that yep, something is going to kill you, and that you don't care and to just get it over with already. Even better is if you can think of ways to mock or ridicule the situation. Tell your hallucinations (by thinking to yourself) that it's silly how long they're taking to harm you, or how cliche it all is, or compliment how their shadowy silhouette really brings out their glowing red eyes. However you do it, you'll either wake up immediately, or the fear will at least subside until you wake up.
This is actually so interesting! Luckily I've never experienced sleep paralysis because it sounds absolutely terrifying 😨 I hope you got rid of it or at least experience it less!
True, this really works. The moment I feel I can't move and can't make a sound - I know that I need to just except anything that I will see, hear or feel for the next couple of seconds\minutes. And usually I either fall asleep or wake up fully very soon.
Just call 911 and ask for special ex-navy seal Mr John B. Allen; he’ll register everything and you’ll be the in the leading role on his next TH-cam story (it’s one way to get famous) 😬
The fact that MrBallen explains the layouts of houses so well just shows how invested he is in telling us these strange, dark and mysterious stories delivered in story format.
i am almost scared at everything after almost seen this John ballen's videos, like i dont have insanity before but now all that level went to roof. also seeing the story in forest im now scared of going there... even i like to have an experience in flight my self dont want it anymore lol.
I don’t even know how I first started watching you but now I can’t stop. I don’t listen to the podcasts quite as much because for some reason I enjoy watching you tell these stories. I am absolutely hooked, thank you for telling these fascinating stories, I love them!
i’ve listened to THOUSANDS of stories like this from hundreds of different creators and the last one was the only story that made me get goosebumps and check my room
The last story sounds like mom is carrying spiritual baggage around and it affects her immediate family. Since none seem to be church-goers, no one is trying to be saved. Could be an old Ouija board session from grade school is tormententing everyone. Run to church and get Baptized in the Holy Spirit and this should clear everything up--as long as you are SINCERE! No half-way measures with God. Sounds hokey, but don't knock it until you've tried it. Never tamper with Ouija boards or you could unwittingly unleash terror on Earth and not even know it. Sound like today's world? Just because you don't believe in something doesn't make it go away. Take the proper spiritual steps to clear yourself, i.e, go to church, and be surprised at the blessings you will receive!
@@Crackpot_Astronaut Could be wrong, but I think sleep paralysis comes from or is a lot more likely to happen if you have a messed up sleep schedule or are stressed out. Thus, not sleeping for the next week would make you more likely to experience it. People worry about that a lot when trying to learn lucid dreaming. I only experienced it twice I think and my method which worked well was just closing my eyes and going back to sleep. Both incidents were at times when my sleep schedule was extra screwed up because I was stressing about classes etc. Also people complained about lucid nightmares, but that never made sense to me because how can you be scared of something you know is not real. I have had many nightmares turn from fear to peace the moment I realized it was just a dream. I always struggled to manipulate my dream world when lucid, but the monsters just wouldn’t be a threat anymore. Having a good sleep schedule should help avoid sleep paralysis and conversely improve your chances of lucid dreaming among other benefits. Keeping a diligent dream journal helps too, but I ain’t got time for that anymore so I don’t have too many lucid dreams anymore.
I had sleep paralysis once. It was after an MDMA binge and I messed up my sleep completely. There was a dark shadowy figure in the left corner of my room that approached the left corner of my bed. It towered over me. For that moment, adrenaline surged through my body, my heart was pounding, and I had a moment of panic. I managed to look across my bed and saw my vacuum cleaner hose messily coiled up across my body on top of the blankets. As soon as I saw that I knew I was experiencing sleep paralysis and my panic subsided though my heart was still pounding and I still had that adrenaline in me. The shadowy figure continued to tower over me at the foot of my bed, not really doing much of anything else and eventually it disappeared and I was able to move. It was both a terrifying and neat experience lol
@@TheAmazingHuman-Man2 Sounds like a lot of BS because you can't find a person with a more messed up sleep schedule than me and I *don't* have sleep paralysis, even though I had it when I had a much better schedule long in the past. I also did try lucid dreaming and sometime even created worlds in dreams. I'm visited by a lot of scary figures in dreams, though. Just today two ghostly girls and a woman in red that promised I won't live the day to reach the door whatever I do, oh well
Sleep paralysis is no joke. My dad used to have it pretty regularly when I was a kid and he used to describe a black figure who would climb on his bed. It’s either something that our brains make up in a certain mode of sleep or it’s a glimps into another realm. Either way, it’s terrifying.
I once experienced sleep paralysis with one of those tall fans right next to my bed--I was CONVINCED the fan was some demon pulling me in but I couldn't grip the covers to stay in place bc I was frozen... even the sound of the fan sounded like demons screaming and laughing. Not my only sleep paralysis episode but probably the scariest bc I couldn't get out of it for what seemed like forever
I had sleep paralysis 2 nights in the same week just recently and the one time it was humping me then it tried to choke me and I also experienced it coming over to my bed and laying on top of me I just remember trying to act like I was sleeping which is not a good thing to do
Surely someone else stumbled across this page by accident and now cannot get enough. I was in a late night TH-cam rabbit hole and now I find myself listening to these stories as I get ready for my day 😂 Mr Ballen has also convinced me the like button is a real person among other things! I have to confess, I’m strangely obsessed 😂
I got major goosebumps when he said she charged into his room on all fours.. Truly disgusting. If that happened to me, I would have shat myself to death.
@@bugsybugs2253 My experience wasn't paranormal like the experience of the persons from this video, it was just sleeping paralysis A few years ago, in my last year of high school, my family left to the UK and I was left alone in my home country, Romania And tbh I think I myself attracted the sleeping paralysis experiences because I was always thinking that I don't want any of that shit to happen to me 😂 It was a night in the first two weeks I started living alone. I fell asleep with the lights on. I opened my eyes, noticed everything in the room, the fact that the bedroom door was open and that I forgot to turn off the lights. When I wanted to switch off the lights I realised I couldn't move and I said to myself "fuck, it's happening again, but this time I'm alone" and I was just waiting for something to happen, when suddenly I started hearing slow footsteps in the living room And the way my house is built is when you enter the house there is a small hallway which has a door on the right hand side that leads to the kitchen and a door in front of you that leads to the living room. Then the hallway goes to left, you walk for like 3 steps and then there's the two doors of the two bedrooms we have in front of you. One to your left, one to your right. I was sleeping in the one on the left, which was a smaller room and was easier to warm up, hence why I was sleeping there. So I'm hearing footsteps, noises and voices I couldn't understand and I was extremely pissed because I couldn't move. I was trying to lift my head up and I finally managed to support my head against the wall and all of a sudden I could move again. I thought I wasn't dreaming anymore so I just got up to see what's going on. I'm looking down the hallway, which was really dark and see a sort of a waving white sheet / towel thing coming out of the living room, so it was on my left hand side. And then I see the head of a woman with long dark hair covering her face coming out of the living room slowly, kind of emerging from the waving sheet. Her face was heading the ceiling. She jumps aggressively on the floor, on all her fours, but her front part of the body so to say, meaning her face and her chest, were facing the ceiling. And she was staring at me. She was dressed in a long white dress. As soon as she jumped on the floor she started screaming and sprinting towards me. She almost got to me, but I closed the door right in her face and she was trying to jump against the door and push me, she was scratching the door and bumping in to the door with her head I think. I remember staying against the door and being like "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON" And then I finally woke up. I was in the exact same position I had the sleeping paralysis. Everything was the same, lights turned on, opened door, dark hallway. I was just staying in bed and I was thinking that maybe I should shut the door, but then I was like "Nah, fuck it, it was just an annoying nightmare that interrupted my sleep, so I'll head back to sleep" and that's what I did I've had many sleeping paralysis during the past 4 years I think and now I know how to control it and haven't had any for more than half an year now. Once you know how to control yourself you couldn't care less about what is going on in the room while you can't move That's how I feel about it at least
When he described the leg sticking out, my brain kept going to something like Sally in nightmare before Christmas trying to lure/distract Oogie Boogie 🤦♀️ like don't mind me, I'm just out here burlesque-ing among the trees lol
The best thing is how he gives a very thorough but not overly-creepy description of the environment, into which he places the horrible details of the action. It's very, very effective.
I appreciate the fact that he moves his hands and uses his body to express whats happening. It really helps me connect with the stories. And as a hard of hearing person i also love that his words are clear and not too fast. Though I never imagined how many of you would comment, I do really appreciate it and I am sure I am not alone on that.
I’ve made a lot of stupid decisions in my life but I have to say watching this video at midnight was the stupidest of them all... Thanks MrBallen, sleep is now a thing of the past.
to not get sleep paralysis Don’t lack sleep Don’t change your sleep schedule No substance abuse Don’t take important medications Don’t sleep on your back This will 100% confirm you’ll never get it. But many of these things are hard not to do. So good luck?!
OMG these stories are so terrifying! I also can't believe that some people have to put up with sleep paralysis on a regular basis. That literally sounds like torture! I have a hypothesis for the multiple sleep paralysis episodes though. The content of the sleep paralysis episodes seem pretty typical, so it's not surprising to me that the siblings and even the mom had similar experiences. The fact that it happened for the siblings in the same room makes sense, because it's a guest room, so they might have a poorer sleep than in their own bed and it's unfamiliar, so it might lead the mind to conjure creepy things. The second time the son thought he had sleep paralysis might be explained by him sleep walking. That could explain why his mom heard someone walking around the house and how he felt different and like he had already been awake when he woke up.
“In order to better understand what happens to Nathan over the stay at his mother’s house, you need to understand a basic layout of her house.” Me: Oh hell, it’s about to get real...
I've had "Sleep paralysis" off and on my entire life, however when I was 20-24 years old, I had sleep paralysis every damn night and I often saw this static shadowed figure standing over my bed staring at me, sometimes it was different figures but the worse one was this hooded figure wearing a red robe with a veiled face and eyes that were burning like fire. I would often be paralyzed for about 10-20 minutes and I liked to sleep in pitch black, when the paralyses left it would take me a half hour to find the damn door so I could go out of my room and turn of the light (the light switch was outside my room), I would often get so panicked I would be screaming. This is not some mere neurological reaction to stress, these things I believe are actual demons, not ghosts, demons and the only thing that would ever lift my sleep paralysis was calling out to God/Jesus to cast them out and protect me. That is the thing though, they were NEVER able to touch me physically, only hover around me, give me horrific dreams and damn near give me a heart attack on a nightly basis, over time I got use to their bull shit though and after a few years they stopped messing with me, now they rarely do though they still sometimes do it, maybe once every few months.
@@shaydorahl6740 Oh wow praise the lord. Are you willfully sinning because if you willfully sin you give the demons legal right to attack you and it could be in different ways.

There are likely over 30 demons for every person alive right now and the majority of actions they would do they are barred from doing. What is the whole thing with the like button.... can anyone explain it to me? I've only been following Mr. Ballen for a few months and I don't get the whole thing about the like button
When I lived with my dad in an alpine forested rural area my dad had the wisdom to realize there's only 2 of us out here, if authorities have to respond; it won't be quick, if something happens to him then I will have to deal with whatever is happening. So, despite being 11yo, my dad got me a small 22 rifle, trained me on safety thoroughly and took me out shooting with it. I was allowed to keep it in my room with ammo within reach. I never thought about misusing it and I never told my friends I had it. My dad spoke to me like an adult and told me why we both had to be armed and what a tremendous responsibility this was and that was all I needed. I feel like the dad in story #1 should've done the same.
Yep. "Shoot first, and ask questions later." All kidding aside, I had the same experience growing up. Dad taught my brother and myself about safety when it came to guns, rifles, knives, and axes. We were taught how and when to use them, what was appropriate behavior when using them, and to always treat them with respect (and to always treat guns as if they were loaded).
When I was about 9 years old a very intoxicated intruder smashed my grandparents house window while scream in a frency. Since my grandpa had far gone parkinsons and couldn't move too much my grandma ran down the stairs and tried to scare him off by yelling back, but eventually went out the back door to her very near neighbors for help which happened to be my family's house. The intruder left screaming profanity when all of us went to see what was going on. The cops found him destroying a parked car in the neighborhood later and caught him by wrestling him down and arresting him. When I visited my grandparents some time later I asked my grandma if she felt scared after the attack. She told me calmly - Not at all. I got this baseball bat now so it's fine and pointed to it. Got one by the bed too. I was like cool that's a problem solved. Imagine my confusion when I grew up and learned about the gun culture in the USA and that some people are to scared to even leave their house without an assault rifle on their back. As a 34 year old I feel a bit spoiled that I haven't seen a single gun before my standard military service at 19 and not ever since then. I really feel for you guys. I get sleep paralysis all from 5+ times in a night/day to a few times per month, and I absolutely recognise the type of experiences you're mentioning! It's been so many years now that I could make a whole book out of it haha. But it's really great as a gateway to lucid dreaming if I'm lucky!

Hes simply the best. I have been on a binge the past 3 weeks watching all his videos in reverse order. After these are done going to start his podcast library
I enjoyed the like button instructions at first, but they have got a little old now, kind of like childish humour to me. With that being said I LOVE John B. Mr. Ballen has perfected the art of storytelling. Not just to get a view or like, but you can tell that he genuinely puts himself in these people's shoes. Every story he tells is another notch in the gears of his life. This feat is only accomplished by being empathetic. This makes for the best kind of storytelling. Thank you for your services Mr. Ballen!
People just don't realize the power there is in being down to earth and genuine. Putting yourself in another person's shoes, or having respect for another person's story. It's a firm of art and is all to rare in these strange times. Empathy > Sympathy and that's what people like John and Adrian from CC bring to our eyes. It's as rare as gold these days. Cheers to all of you 🍺🍺🍺
Same. It's been a good 20-25 years since it happened to me and I don't miss it. It's the worst form of helplessness and despair. Easy to explain to others what physically happens but very difficult to make them feel the terror.
Holy shit, that last story actually scared me. I’ve saturated myself with so many of these scary story vids over the years that it has been a LONG time since one has actually made me afraid. But sitting in the dark, ready for sleep, alone in my house, having experienced sleep paralysis once before and seen the “dark men” and felt the chest pressure...that story made me scared.
@Suzanne Nichols Yeah. I’ve only experienced sleep paralysis one time, fortunately-I don’t know how people who have it regularly are able to manage-but it was a lot like how it was described in the vid: I was unable to move except for my eyes, and there was a heavy pressure on my chest. I didn’t see a terrifying, veiled woman, but I did see four or five tall shadows surrounding my bed. They looked like blurry silhouettes of people. They just stood over me without moving, and once the paralysis passed after a couple minutes, they were gone. I think your brain is still in REM state while you’re awake during sleep paralysis episodes, which is why you’re unable to move (so you don’t act out your dreams), so I figured my dream was just blending with reality. However, I learned later that seeing “dark men” is relatively common during this kind of thing. Spooky stuff.
yo same i watched like 10 of these videos back to back with not much of a reaction but when he was talking about the last story all the hair on my legs stood up
Same...only mine was a woman like the one described in the story. Started in the corner of the room, slinked across the floor to my bed, then laid my my chest. Scared the ever living shit outta me. I'll never forget it, because I was living with my 1st serious "adult" GF at the time in CO, and her parents had flown her to Italy for her 21st birthday, so she was gone and my best friend was staying over my place on my couch. I had to smoke like 50 bowls right after I woke up to cope with the anxiety, lol.
Imagine being the father that was just told by their son that some mysterious intruder charged directly at him full speed in the middle of the night from the forest and just being like: "Alright son, if you see him again just give me a hollar 😎👍" and then going back to sleep.
Yeah... This is how my parents would respond to any of my concerns when I was younger. They would just brush everything off, yet they wonder why we're not close lol
I’ve been obsessed with the paranormal, since I was a child. I listen to EVERY damn paranormal podcast you’ve heard of. I’m numb to it all 93% of the time. The last story….gave me an anxiety I haven’t felt in ages. I wasn’t even looking at the screen, which I peeked over and saw had some creepy images. Very well delivered, great tempo, and inflection. That was unexpectedly good! Everyone in my household listens to and has gone on and on about Mr. Ballon. I can now see why.

The woman in black experience actually gave me chills because it happened to me when I was traveling once. Literally never had sleep paralysis before. Didn't sleep the rest of that night.
I've had weird experiences but not quite like that. It's more than likely nothing but I had this awful nightmare once where I was in my house but my family and I weren't alone. I went to my mother's bedroom because I was scared when suddenly I saw this strange blue person in the bedroom with mom. I don't remember many of the details, but I picked up something to use as a shield. Something about the person wasn't normal and suddenly they turned around and looked at me. They had a body like a preying mantis. Filler... then something led to it attacking me. I managed to block it once with the "shield" and I tried to run away or something but I failed. It caught me and sliced me in half and that's where the nightmare ended. I did have an experience similar to sleep paralysis once but I think it was more physical. I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly I couldn't breathe. No matter how hard I tried, my throat was shut. It was like my brain had forgotten how to breathe. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster as my throat clenched in pain to try and breathe. I ran into the bathroom and made a glass of water and gulped it down as fast as I could, then able to take a breath again. My theory is that somehow my throat had dried shut by snoring/breathing through my mouth, or in a state of delirium from waking up, my brain wasn't registering how to breathe. Either way, I hope that never happens again XD When I actually have nightmares, they tend to be excruciating ^^;
@@nathanielbass771 👍🏻👍🏻i hope it doesn't happen to you ever again🙏🏻. And i don't claim to be an expert or anything of that sort, cos it might look that way. The more we think we know, the more we realise that we don't really know sht,we only scratched the surface. I'm just some insignificant unknown guy who's been through a lot more horror for a lifetime than some people. And yes the brain/mind is a powerful thing.. sometimes it can feel like they're doing something to you physically and choking or scratching/cutting you or sth. But, we did that to ourselves mostly, cos it's either all in our head, or they(sleep paralysis demons/entities) make you think that.. (I'm sorry, i wish my English is better, idk how to describe it the way i mean to..) kinda like how you said you felt like you forot how to breathe or something like that. That's the part where i say *'they are smart'* cos they know very well that we are most vulnerable to their hunting tactics when our brain is in a fuzzy state. But for us, it's less dangerous when we've mostly slipped out of that state of mind.. BUT, It's before we do , that it's dangerous/when they can do almost anything and/or manipulate our dreams showing us our worst nightmares and what not. (How do i put this..) let's say.. Imagine there's a line where you are either inside or outside that line. And inside that line is their hunting ground, but even after you crossed that line you're not all free from it yet,,, cos it's like you're in a burning building when you're inside that line, and even after you crossed to the other side of the line, it's still like you're coming out of a burning building still carrying the smell of the smoke, or the heat of the fires. Which ofc fades eventually. But at this point is when you can throw back these countermeasures. Cos at this point, it's like their only weapon/power is a small fading telepathy fueled by your fears which they use to scare you as much as they can, but mostly through visuals or some kind of sound. For sceptics, they see their loved ones being hurt or something like that, cos they don't give out as much fear as someone who actually believe in the existence of another unseen/paranormal entities; they fear more to be in a desaster or sth rather than seeing some kind of monster or demon, so they would try to make sense of it and give out more confusion than fear. They're small time demons compared to the rest of them, but they're one of the smartest, even stronger entities copy their ways/tactics. If they can touch you or do something to you physically,, it's either that, you're still in a dream-like state(behind/inside the line), or,, if not and it kept going, it means they aren't just some normal sleep paralysis demons anymore. Edit: It's also worth noting that.. What we call PARALYSIS DEMONS aren't the only ones that can use these tactics (sleep paralysis) against us as briefly mentioned. But this doesn't just happen to anyone. So if it does happen, it means whatever entity is causing it is trying to tell you something. So listen and look for signs through their actions and/or something else.. cos it usually means they either want you out/gone, or they want/need your help.
@@gaijin_sailovideos1333 eh, the mind does strange things. My experience was more than likely just a nightmare for the blue man thing. I have no idea about the unable to breathe one. There were no supernatural details for it, i just woke up and could not breathe until I got that glass of water. Those were isolated incidents. I go through all kinds of strange stuff such as unusually vivid dreams or nightmres , but most of my dreams are pretty much just that, dreams. If there is something supernatural though, it would explain why stuff is always falling or spilling over in our house
@@nathanielbass771 probably/possibly i guess. Idk much about these stuff,(poltergeist and such, with the capability to moves things on their own excessively)but these poltergeist, they always show signs of childish behaviours.. ransacking places, things thrown around, stacking sht as if they're playing with toys and what not.. just from what I've seen, haven't really been through much in that area, nor have i seen anyone near me that have. But it's common in N.America and other places from what I heard,. It may depend on the places we're at. Like how in different cultures, we have different types of myths and such. Skinwalker(NA)/Djinn(ME)/Thlahrang(Asia)/etc.. And they looked different in every country/place(s).. and (still taking it with a grain of salt) this is just my theory but,, it might be possible that we(humans) created these things through collective minds/thoughts/consciousness believing in the same thing that caused them to manifest into these Slenderman or skinwalker or what have we?¿‽.. But seriously though,i myself strongly believe these entities are just some kind of living creatures that doesn't really have actual forms or bodies,,(idk the science behind it all but) maybe they're not as simple as us 3dimentional beings in a 3dimentional plane, but unlike us,WHAT IF they're not 3D beings but higher somehow but existing or coming in and out to our 3D plane¿… Just a theory/*What If..? You'd wanna call BS or debunk it, i get it. I like the way you think. Try if you want. You will find your explanation to the symptoms. But you'll never find the real cause of/to a *Sleep Paralysis* with a sceptical mind. They'll all just be theoretical i can bet on that.
Finding this channel is probably one of my proudest achievements. Mr. Ballen always finds a way to portray the people from his stories in an eloquent and respectful manner.

Sleep paralysis is one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever experienced. I was unable to sleep with the closet door open for years after my first episode
It is the worst isnt it :( I got insomnia from it, I was afraid to sleep for ages. One day I just couldnt stay up anymore. I realise now certain triggers can cause mine.

I always tel myself, “don’t watch Mr. Ballen at night.” But here I am, at my new house in the middle of the woods, staring out of my two glass sliding doors that are on either side of my house, wondering if that shadow I see if a person 😭
@@dootdoot94xo44 I’m not flexing my house 🤣 I was just explaining that it’s a new environment for me, in the middle of the woods, and the only reason I mentioned the sliding glass doors was because they are on either side of my house, and it’s scary as fuck to think that someone can see me inside my house clearly through them, but I can’t see anything outside when it’s dark.
I've experienced sleep paralysis many, many times over the years, especially when I was younger. I grew up in a very abusive and traumatic childhood/family and it seemed after a particularly violent parental explosion, I would have these sleep paralysis moments. They were so real, but it involved all the elements that were touched upon. An inability to move, to scream, or to even protect myself or escape. Something/someone was always chasing me or in my face and the fear I felt, even with just remembering, is still palpable. I don't know why or remember when these nightmares ended, but it took many years. I've come to believe that it was my brains way of dealing with so much chaos; and as a child, horror. There are so many things we still don't know about when it comes to the human body, brain and psyche, and our ability to metabolize each and every experience, good or bad. Each one, leaving an indelible mark on whom and what we are and the foundation we begin with, all of it building blocks, for who and what we ultimately become, as human beings. He definitely keeps you listening mostly because so many of us can relate, in some form or fashion, to fear and the lasting effects this fear has upon each and every one of us. Some of us never able to overcome the lasting effects, of this trauma.
@proV69 He may not be reading off of something, but you can see the video cuts constantly. He's probably reading the next sentence or paragraph, memorizing it, and then recording himself telling just that little snippet, and he's able to cut and then read and memorize his next lines, say those on camera, cut, etc.
Bro my friend has seen herself kill herself during sleep pararlysis and my other friend saw two people literally eat eachother piece by piece after watching her friend gouge her own eyeballs out. Trust me this ain't the scariest or most original sleep paralysis story. No shade tho still love MrBallens vids.
Sleep paralysis sucks! 30 and still get it once in a while, same exact experience every time i see the same woman, shes always been the staple figure to SP its a weird phenomenon
@Wesley Pankhurst man it really got to a point where I had to look away and just listen til the images were gone needless to say this one really crawled under my skin.
Same, several of them. One SP horror simultaneously involved my terrified 3 yr old son and 3 hooded beings. That was 30 yrs ago and both of us still remember it in full traumatizing detail. My other SPs have involved OOBs.
Mine too, had a very similar experience! Felt like someone was sat on my chest had a big dark figure on top of me until I shouted and swung my arm to get them off me and then nothing! Can't describe how real it felt I couldn't breath and felt like I was gasping for air! the pressure on my chest was nothing like I'd experienced before, only thing close to it was when I'd been in a car crash and the seat belt gave me a similar tight chest feeling
Holy cow, serious props to the guy in story one for keeping a cool head in that cave. Also, HOW DID HE NOT GET ONE BITE?? I hereby dub him: the "widow-whisperer."
Widow spiders (if that's even what kind of spiders he saw) aren't aggressive at all. They rarely bite humans, usually only as a last resort if they're being forcefully pinned against your skin and can't crawl away. I've never seen two widow spiders in the same place before, but I also don't go climbing into small deep underground holes like a crazy person.
Noooo shit. I'm not even bothered by spiders but that'd be rough. I'm also a climber and don't really understand why he couldn't just climb back up though
I don't remember sleep paralysis as an adult, but I have vivid memories of when I was two or three and a spindly creature used to come in and look at me in my crib. It's one of the few memories I have from being that young. When I watched the documentary 'The Nightmare' about sleep paralysis, another person described childhood memories of what looked like extra-terrestrial grays looking in his crib, and it gave me chills.

As a sleep paralysis sufferer, I can vouch for the pure fear nathan was feeling.
In case it’s helpful, I heard you can make sleep paralysis less likely by not sleeping flat on your back. So prop yourself up quite a bit with pillows when sleeping.
I don’t know if it was the only solution, but it helped me after I had a bad continuous streak of sleep paralysis.
Sleep paralysis isn’t real , it’s a story invented by doctors and scientists to explain what they can’t explain.

Also, no you don't. Cuz I can never understand the layout(n if I can, I immediately forget) and I still appreciate the story.
If anyone suffers sleep paralysis regularly, this may help:
As a teenager I would get sleep paralysis 3-4 nights a week and started to document and study it.
Luckily I've never experienced sleep paralysis because it sounds absolutely terrifying 😨
I hope you got rid of it or at least experience it less!
True, this really works. The moment I feel I can't move and can't make a sound - I know that I need to just except anything that I will see, hear or feel for the next couple of seconds\minutes. And usually I either fall asleep or wake up fully very soon.

Just today two ghostly girls and a woman in red that promised I won't live the day to reach the door whatever I do, oh well
Oh no I just started the video then I read this maybe I won't listen to all of it
Sleep paralysis is no joke. My dad used to have it pretty regularly when I was a kid and he used to describe a black figure who would climb on his bed. It’s either something that our brains make up in a certain mode of sleep or it’s a glimps into another realm. Either way, it’s terrifying.
I'm inclined to agree with you 👍🏼
I've had it as well, black figures do what they want when it happens, and you have no control to move.

I got major goosebumps when he said she charged into his room on all fours.. Truly disgusting. If that happened to me, I would have shat myself to death.

@@vladxful can you tell more about what happened? I understand if you don't want to talk about it.
@Kermit Peanut yes, those 3 people's experience was definitely paranormal
@@bugsybugs2253 My experience wasn't paranormal like the experience of the persons from this video, it was just sleeping paralysis
A few years ago, in my last year of high school, my family left to the UK and I was left alone in my home country, Romania
And tbh I think I myself attracted the sleeping paralysis experiences because I was always thinking that I don't want any of that shit to happen to me 😂
It was a night in the first two weeks I started living alone. I fell asleep with the lights on. I opened my eyes, noticed everything in the room, the fact that the bedroom door was open and that I forgot to turn off the lights. When I wanted to switch off the lights I realised I couldn't move and I said to myself "fuck, it's happening again, but this time I'm alone" and I was just waiting for something to happen, when suddenly I started hearing slow footsteps in the living room
And the way my house is built is when you enter the house there is a small hallway which has a door on the right hand side that leads to the kitchen and a door in front of you that leads to the living room.
I remember staying against the door and being like "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON"
And then I finally woke up.
I was in the exact same position I had the sleeping paralysis. Everything was the same, lights turned on, opened door, dark hallway.
I was just staying in bed and I was thinking that maybe I should shut the door, but then I was like "Nah, fuck it, it was just an annoying nightmare that interrupted my sleep, so I'll head back to sleep" and that's what I did
I've had many sleeping paralysis during the past 4 years I think and now I know how to control it and haven't had any for more than half an year now. Once you know how to control yourself you couldn't care less about what is going on in the room while you can't move
That's how I feel about it at least
When I had sleep paralysis it was a tall man with a hat standing in the corner. Something was pressing down on my chest but it wasn’t him.

All sin is willful, not all sin is wanted and not all sinners want to be sinners not intend to, but every action of sin is willful, that's what temptation is, you get overcome by one kind of desire or another and you succumb.
Demons are everywhere, all around us, they can't touch saints but they can oppress saints.
There are likely over 30 demons for every person alive right now and the majority of actions they would do they are barred from doing.
Demons attack people when they are getting closer to knowledge that can save them or when they getting close to events or people that could haveajor ramifications.
I was a works salvationist until I was about 22, at first they were attacking me because I was getting closer to the knowledge of Grace.
I got saved when I was 22, the next two years of attack were because I was delving into spiritual knowledge and was combatting false prophets in the Witnesses and a few other denominations.
I met my wife when I was 24 and I pulled her out of the Jehovah's witness cult, ai haven't been attacked that often since I was 25.

Yep. "Shoot first, and ask questions later."
All kidding aside, I had the same experience growing up. Dad taught my brother and myself about safety when it came to guns, rifles, knives, and axes. We were taught how and when to use them, what was appropriate behavior when using them, and to always treat them with respect (and to always treat guns as if they were loaded).

bruh same, usually these stories are relaxing and interesting, that one was just plain terrifying
You've seen the 'dark men'? 😳

I've had weird experiences but not quite like that. It's more than likely nothing but I had this awful nightmare once where I was in my house but my family and I weren't alone. I went to my mother's bedroom because I was scared when suddenly I saw this strange blue person in the bedroom with mom. I don't remember many of the details, but I picked up something to use as a shield. Something about the person wasn't normal and suddenly they turned around and looked at me. They had a body like a preying mantis. Filler... then something led to it attacking me. I managed to block it once with the "shield" and I tried to run away or something but I failed. It caught me and sliced me in half and that's where the nightmare ended. I did have an experience similar to sleep paralysis once but I think it was more physical. I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly I couldn't breathe. No matter how hard I tried, my throat was shut. It was like my brain had forgotten how to breathe. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster as my throat clenched in pain to try and breathe. I ran into the bathroom and made a glass of water and gulped it down as fast as I could, then able to take a breath again. My theory is that somehow my throat had dried shut by snoring/breathing through my mouth, or in a state of delirium from waking up, my brain wasn't registering how to breathe. Either way, I hope that never happens again XD When I actually have nightmares, they tend to be excruciating ^^;

Really, one of your proudest achievements is clicking on a picture and listening to a guy tell stories? Does that trump the time you walked all the way to the kitchen and helped your mom make you a sandwich, cause I think that might be the achievement you should be most proud of.....

If i start shaking my head from side to side while twisting my head a bit eventually ill do it in real life and recover my motion. Sounds weird right? Ive heard other people do something with their hands
When I had sleep paralysis for the first time I saw a figure that looked like the grime reaper and I genuinely thought I died in my sleep.
