- LSU has had some really solid QBs the last few years with guys such as Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels, and with Garrett Nussmeier finally getting his opportunity, it looks like LSUs newest transfer will just have to wait. AJ Swann is one of the highest ranked players to ever commit to Vanderbilt and he showed significant flash while there and will now become one of the most insane backup quarterbacks in college football. Today we will talk about who AJ Swann is and his potential, enjoy!

All Swan is is an insurance policy for this season only. We got other younger thoroughbreds in the stable fully capable of being super stars.
I had no idea how talented Swann is. This was great information. I have had my eye on Collins growth, but now I hope we get to see both the backups get shots in garbage time. May the best man win.
I’m glad we have a good backup i’m banking on Nuss getting a Heisman !

Good points, but 2025 belongs to Bryce Underwood. I expect him to beat out Hurley and Swann as a freshman.
Look at Video from games... he is somewhat of a Nuss Clone. He has performed well in a significant number of starts. But actually RF Ricky Collins looked better in the spring and has a higher ceiling. I predict co backups. Collins is a great runner.. But get real... with the talent There and coming in at LSU Swann will probably never start a game .. but I am glad we have him in 2024

Year after next you mean. Underwood is a junior in high school he won’t be starting for LSU anytime soon.

He was insane in 2022. He was horribly insane in 2022. As his season in 2022 couldn't have been anymore disgraceful than it was.
Now 2023 was a complete turn around from 2022, and in 2023 he was really insane and so insane in fact, that he won the Heisman.
I mean, if you are going to report the news, report it accurately and not stupidly .
He isnt going to get any playing time with the qbs at LSU
None of the current QBs on the LSU roster have a remote chance to ever start for the Tigers. As Bryce Underwood, the number one QB in the country is coming in and its going to be Underwood's job as soon as Nuss hits the NFL.

Excuse me, Swan will never make an impact at LSU. As he is not close to being the same caliber of QB that Nuss is. In fact, Swan was beaten out by redshirt freshman Ricky Collins in the spring.
Swan was a wasted transfer portal pickup.
Ricky who has been in the program for a year versus a guy that has been the program a few months. Let's take a deep breath and see how things go. CJ Daniels wasn't a starter in the Spring, but I expect to see him on the field with the first LSU snap. Swann had no receivers and was hurt. I really like Collins but I want the best guy at backup. You know how Kelly likes experience... or do you?

@@theblackdog2399 I am not worried about that. Nuss doesn't like to get sacked or run. He has the best line in the SEC. The coaches are probably making him not to do too much because there is no good replacement. You might be right. These two might not have a future at LSU but if they show great progress it will be a bonus.
