So I thought, why let him have all the glory?? I decided then, let's do the same for ALL characters.

Rikku's battle stance is so funny to me
I remember doing No Sphere Grid Rikku Only back in the day, made it up until Braska's Final Aeon before becoming unstuck.
Howwww? Please don't make me try out something like that. I don't think I have the time right now
@@LootGoblin20 Very doable even with an extra NO or NI. At one point I uploaded NSGRONCNI vids up to BFA if you're interested in watching that.
Edit: Also nice to see manudude still around, how you been? One of the old time legends of the challenge community for sure :)

@@LootGoblin20 NSGRO is fully possible, though BFA is difficult enough that only maybe less than a handful of people ever managed it. You can add either NO or NI to it and you can make it to BFA and even do monster capturing if you want.
I actually always wanted to beat NSGRO BFA but back in PS2 days it was too big a timesink with the huge cutscene and crystal minigame on each attempt. Now with auto-save and cutscene remover I may actually try it again.

Damn, Rikku only, at first I thought it would have been easy, until you mentioned NOT using her overdrive, my first though was "well, that changes everything" and it hyped me up to watch the video.
Rikku best girl, easily the strongest of the group when she can use her Overdrive, and even without it, I think she is the fastest of the FFX crew.
Yup the no overdrives thing is what made it a challenge. Having to use Spare Change was a welcome surprise too.
Also yeah, Rikku best girl no one comes close

Good stuff, man! Rikku is way too broken to make you struggle in any meaningful way, but it was still fun to watch. Who's next? Are you going through the easiest ones first (Tidus, Rikku, Wakka, not necessarily in that order)?
Yep expected to be the easiest, though the lack of overdrives or mega farming sessions dod provide a bit of a challenge. Even had to use spare change for the 1st tome ever. When the time comes I woll put up a poll for which one to do next, though I am also thinking of doing a different FF first

@@SpiritStoneWarrior94-yx3gs yup, watched it too. Tidus and Rikku are by far the easiest characters to solo the game with, hence my comment about doing the easier ones first
@@LootGoblin20 yeah having to Spare Change was unexpected, although I guess Anima in particular does require it if you don't get super lucky (e.g. using other characters as meatshields) or play blitzball for a Dark Matter. Needing it for Sin was a bit weirder because in the time you farmed the gil you could probably have gotten the Supreme Gems from capturing :p

Never seen a Wakka only challenge on ffx. Maybe one to try next!
Will do it eventually for sure. Maybe not balanced as Wakka's balls are the strongest weapons known to man
Isn't rikku the most powrful character in ffx? Any and every strategy revolves her and her mixes. Idk if using her is a challenge at all
If you don't use Overdrives it actually is one unless you mega grind. Kinda had to at the end or I would not have enough damage to actually win. Spare Change was MVP
But you are right she probably is the easiest one to solo
too bad there is no mod to fix this, if one comes out you can be the TRUE Rikku only run
I can edit her in, and I did, but the game was just crashing every 5 minutes. Rest assured, when a MOD gets made I WILL be the first to try it

Good idea for a future challenge. I'm still thinking about how a lulu or yuna own sphere grod solo will go

Spectral keeper only has 50% chance of inflicitng beserk, thus berserk ward will nullify it
Using a star curtain on rikku would have made the yunalesca fight easier
Yeah I did not know it worked like that. About the star curtain, for added dificulty, I tried to limit the amount of farming
@LootGoblin20 my go to tactic for spectral keeper is tidus with beserk ward using provoke. Have yuna always use protect and healing on tidus and another character to keep hitting him
easy due to the always do 9999 damage mix BUT the FLAN enemies are still immune to any mixes that do NOT Do MAGIC damage.
Including the No Overdrive rule was a good idea.
Though I think you need to work on making your narration be in sync with the video.
19:12 This wasn't RNG. Berserk Ward gives full immunity to Spectral Keeper's Berserk Tail, which only has a 50% chance of Berserk.
Yeah I lost some footage because my hard drive went to crap so I had to edit around it kinda, that's my bad I should have re-recorded. About the berserk ward, really? Had no idea I thought it would be 50% when berserk would actually work (50% on 50% kinda) thx for the info
@@LootGoblin20 Resistances work additively in FFX, so Berserk Tail having 50% chance of inflicting Berserk will never work on a character with Berserk Ward: 50% - 50% = 0%. Same logic for stuff like Altana's Stone Gaze (50% infliction rate).
How am I supposed to know which items to combine to attack??
For the Mixes? Either you know them by heart or have to check a list online unfortunately
After having made a mix you can see them when checking her Overdrives, I'm pretty sure
