BEYOUTH "MANGA"

Being young we always chose a means to stand out. To be the razor blades cutting against the grain of social infrastructure. Drawing and reading manga did exactly that for us. It provided us a space for self-expression and individuality. When we created, that’s when we felt the most free. We did whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, and however we wanted. We felt unbound by the laws enforced by society. Young, wild, and free.
僕らは決まったレールの上を歩いていた
でもいつも自分だけのレールを探し続けていた
マンガを描いている時だけが
本当の自分を自由に表現することが出来た
やりたいときにやりたいことをやりたいようにする
そんな時、僕らは何にも縛られないと感じるんだ
本当の自分を探し続けて
若さを恐れず　自由に
