Not a lot of car companies if any have access to a world class instrument maker just to tune the exhaust. They sold the car at a loss and everyone keep saying its over price. This car have appreciated in value.

I worked for a Lexus Lexus dealership in Northern CA for a short while. They had an LFA on the sales floor the whole time. Price tag, $470,000. Only a few dealerships ever got one of these to sell. The one on the showroom floor was shipped back to North Carolina and given to NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon by the dealership owner, Rick Hendrick, as a retirement present. Rick would always swing by his dealerships during the Sonoma races every summer. FYI, the great sounding exhaust was developed by Yamaha just for the LFA.
Yamaha built the engine in the Lfa too. A lot of Toyota’s engines are built by Yamaha

The thing has put so many smiles on people’s faces over the years. It has made its mark in history despite the criticism it received. I believe the conventional transmissions transmission actually makes it sound more interesting

@@BuckeyeBallistics that sound has a price tag, a V10 that was sound engineered by Yamaha to sound like an F1 car isn't happening for 50K. The cheapest/closest stock you're probably going to get is an LC500 or F Type R and they're still around 100K.
@@jh1603 Um, I was mearly stating that he was referring to the new Supra sounding like shit. Of course an inline 6 could never sound like a V10, price not included. Our Toyota Corolla has a Yamaha *engine*, so that's not saying much, lol. 2zzge engine, same as Lotus Elise, which is Yamaha...
@@BuckeyeBallistics almost every supercar video has someone saying "if this was the supra....". Also just because it's a Yamaha engine doesnt mean anything, the LFA engine's exhaust note was engineered by their acoustics division. Everything about the Supra is half assed and cheap from the sound to the materials to all of the fake vents, if anything the GSF or RCF would have been a much better platform to base it around rather than the Z4

I feel like if someone got a supercar that they didn’t necessarily want, they would feel just a bit disappointed, but I don’t think any car enthusiast would be disappointed with the LFA, I can’t even imagine it.

When I was a kid I thought no road car can sound like a F1 car. This, Porsche Carrera GT and Pagani Zonda told me "NO, We can do it too" love this car to bits, it's a shame it's too expensive because Toyota/Lexus loss money making this.
People say this car is let down by its comparatively slow gearbox, but I think it makes it sound so much better, just imagine lots of gearbox farts over the top of this every time it it changes gear🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 part of what makes its sound so good is that slight drop in revs between gears which you wouldn’t get with a super fast modern gearbox.

I saw this car when it first was at a car show in Javitz center in NYC...... it was beautiful to see in person.. Sadly they couldn't start up the engine due to some restrictions or something.
I believe LFA stands for Lexus Fuji Apex.
LFA is one of those cars that no matter how many times I look at it, hear it, anything.. I can never fully understand or comprehend the car. It really fizzles me sometimes
