    As with life, it isn’t about the destination, it’s about the journey.......

      Right on, look forward to checking it out...it'll be interesting to see how things have changed. We lost about a foot on the ridge above Badger Lake in the last couple of weeks.

    Stumbled upon your videos today. Awesome! What axles are the Toyota truck running? Looks like a Toyota axle under the 4runner, but couldn't see the truck well enough to tell. I have a rusting apart 1st gen 4Runner now, but thinking of looking for a 2nd or 3rd gen to be it's replacement. Gotta love the central/eastern states and our road departments LOVE of salt! haha Stay safe!

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, right-on JDT Isme...thanks for checking out the channel. The Toyota pick-up is running a Dana 70 in the rear and a beefed up Toyota axle up front. Good luck on the new rig. Yeah, we really like the fact that they don't use much salt around here, but they have started to use a little here and there in the big cities. Doh! Happy Trails!

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry Ray...but that ended yesterday. Nice try! lol And try to remember Ray, there are designated snowmobile areas and there are shared areas. Not all roads are closed to vehicles 50" and over! Besides, according to the National Forest Service web site, Olallie Lake has some privately own land and is vehicle accessible year round. Also, after March 31st, all roads are accessible to vehicles 50" and over. Take care. : )

      "Chuckles" Right-on Ray, good work. Yeah, I'm a little sensitive about those snowmobiles. I don't have a problem with them...but they sure don't like me! Thanks for the interaction and thanks for watching! Happy Trails! : )

    How long of a drive is that? Both in hours and miles. Thinking of going down there.

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey John, sorry for the late reply...must of missed your comment. From Portland, OR it's probably around a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive and around 90 miles I'm guessing. Of course in the snow it takes somewhat longer.

    • @TheLittlered1961
      @TheLittlered1961 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the reply. I was referring from pavement to the lake in snow.

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, ok...it's probably around 8 to 9 miles from NF-46 to the lake going in on NF-4690. This was a pretty quick and smooth run, I think it only took us around 3 hours.

    Looked like a lot of good fun till you were on snowmobile trails drag racing making huge holes, your going to get an unsuspecting snowmobiler killed when he or she comes flying down the trail and hits those holes and ruts then strait lines into a tree! I love snowwheeling and I love snowmobiling but doing both on the same trail can be dangerous.

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's on the snowmobiles...the trails were open to all on this date. (But I see where your heart is, just hope they pay attention.) Thanks for watching! : )
