Thank you Monster Jeep! That was basically a PERFECT day, a 10.0. Great snow, not too cold, fun trip. I now see the work you put into editing. Good video! Putting a link to my F.B. page for friends to see.
My God! I miss the PNW!!! I left 15 years ago. Was pretty much on the Clackamas and Sandy every weekend along with the Gorge and Mt Hood. I WANNA COME BACK!!! LOL Thanks once again for the fond memories!
Hey Justin...Yeah, the snow has been much drier and more powdery than usual. More like I imagine the snow is in your area. A lot harder to work with. Catch ya next time... : )

How much tire air do you bleed @ 5:38? Great video. Used to do this when I lived in Finland MN back in the early 70's, before the rest of the country discovered northeast MN.
Hey thanks tri 5ford. I think I went down to around 5 or 6 psi. Yeah, I hear ya...it's starting to get pretty busy around these parts too. Thanks for watching! : )
Hi! What envy you give me with so much snow !!! And what a beautiful image with the fog and snow at 01:30 ... It's amazing how much snow you have on the front axle at 08:30 ... The Toyota, is the HDJ 80? My father had the 100 diesel with 4.2 engine. It was a real machine !!! At minute 10:23, you pass by the Toyota because he can not continue. Is the Jeep better? It may be why the toyota weighs too much? From what I see, you have snow a big part of the year, right? How crystalline is the water in that river! Your partner did not sleep there? How always, a pleasure to see your adventures !!! A hug!!!
Hello FredRS! I'm not exactly sure what model the Land Cruiser is. It did real good though. The Jeep just has bigger tires, lockers and it's a little taller for the deep snow. He was still going, just slow. I passed him and only did a little better. I'm pretty sure the Jeep weighs more, I was at around 6700 lbs. We have snow in the mountains from around November to June or July. If that water wasn't moving it would be freezing. And yeah, my buddy had something to do in the morning so he headed out early. It's always good to hear from you and as always...thanks for watching! : )

@@TrailWalkerCB, well...lower gearing, bigger tires, lockers front and rear, a lift to get the belly of the rig up out of the snow and beadlocks to be able to air down. Of course tires are critical. After that it's mainly recovery gear like a winch so you can get out when you get stuck. Those are the primary factors for deep snow travel. Hope that helps... : )

@@MonsterJeep question: so you put on chains when tyres at normal pressure, you then deflate (a bit). The chains shouldn’t become loose as the surface of tyres doesn’t change with deflation, but what do the tyres say, thanks, but no thanks after a while?
