    I'm always amazed at how fast you make your trees fruit. The care you give them all is fascinating and I admire that. You're a good teacher too. Keep up the great work brother.

    I've been growing my avacados from seed for about a year now, they were in a 12 in pot but I moved one to a 24in pot. Been about 3 weeks
    Seems happy. Just heavy

    Thanks so much for your amazing advice. I have two avocado trees in pots and one inground. The in ground one is appx 10 YO and has never fruited. Can you offer some advice on how to get this to fruit along with my container ones. Not sure how often and when to fertilize these, as I know it differs greatly from inground because they are in a container. Thanks in advance for your advice. PS: I am in a costal zone 9A-B. Very mild weather.

      Was your avocado tree planted from a seed? They can take 10 years or more to fruit. Avocado trees also have different flower types. Cross pollination is best for maximum productivity. A grafted tree would have a name. For Example: Hass, Lula, Russel, Monroe to name just a few. Best practice is to plant a named variety and one of each flower type. A or B. You can get more details and a better explanation at pepesplants.com search for Avocado.
      Best wishes.

    Sorry to bother you but how big are those fabric pots? Do you ship your products (clay pebbles)locally? I'm in Florida also. Thanks in advance👋😄

      Why three together? How about separate and close by. You want cross pollination?

    Those fabric pot was growing white mold from all the rain & killed my hass. Would plastic be better until it grow 8 ft + to finally put it on a mounted ground,

      If you had that much water plastic pots would not help in my opinion. The bags breathe much better and give the roots a chance to dry off faster. Once a disease starts its able to spread quickly. Prevention is key. Mine is doing much better and still in a fabric pot.

    What is the strength of those bags? Would a 20gal bag rip if you picked it up by the handles full of soil and tree?

    • @Pepesplants
      @Pepesplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After 5 or six months I have had the handles tear off but the bags are strong. Some are over a year old and doing fine. Florida heat, sun and humidity can beat the bags up pretty well. Usually after a year they are done if in full sun all the time.

      Never tried air layer on avocado when flowering . Pretty sure it would be okay.

    May I ask how long did it take to fruit?

    • @Pepesplants
      @Pepesplants  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grafted trees usually produce within a year. The thing is it's best to let the tree get some size on it first. When they are about six-foot tall, they can easily hold on to some fruit. The goal is to have a tree no larger than 8-9 feet. More production and easier maintenance. Thanks for watching.

    Instead of clay pebbles, use bio-char. The extra benefits are tremendous, and the effects are a lot better. And you are helping sequester carbon from the atmosphere. You can thank me later.

      I use biochar often but sometimes I don't have any. Good advice. Can I thank you now? LOL.😂😂😄😄

      @@Pepesplants You can buy it at the BBQ section of any Home Depot, Lowe's or Walmart. It's the same as lump-charcoal. All you have to do is throw it inside a bag and break it into smaller chunks.
