I worked on a legal Cannabis farm for little bit when I was living in Humboldt. The potting soil most growers use is either Formula 707 or Fox Farm Ocean Forest. But anyways I’m sure they’d be great for fruit trees to! 🤷♂️
@@SenzuBeaner they drain too well for rot but I guess with the wrong soil anything can happen... If you are talking about the bags then I'd have to say no they will not rot at least not that I've seen.
@@NMW80 I've never had one become unusable in the 5+ years I've been using them. Even wash them in the washing machine(not the dryer) and they come out like new. had one on the ground for about a year and the roots went through it and it was fine and reusable without any visible holes or tears.
Prebagged mix labeled citrus and cactus mix is a good start like he said. If you're looking to make your own, think along the lines of compost, wood fines, sand, perlite/vermiculite, some peat moss and a nice layer of mulch around the tree but without touching the trunk. I'd recommend mounding the tree above the lip of the pot so that when it settles you'll still be close to full. Ultimately they love fast draining soil that won't get overly soggy (like peat moss).
I need you to come over here, and help me start a nursery in the coast of North Carolina! I have a great idea for citrus palm and avocado for our southern coast
We offer just this one for a long term growing solution. The more soil volume the better the tree will do, the better the tree does, the more avocados you get

I Start all of my trees in these grow bags... 25gal bags but after seeing this I guess I can use 100gal and buy way more trees :-)
Won’t rot?

How do you get the tree out when the root starts to poke through the bag?
Your container trees look awesome.
Any chance you got a video on container soil, fertilizer, and when to repot?
Thanks for the videos.

Love your videos!
Keep em coming 🤠🌴☀️🍀
“We are on our way to Guacamole” 🥑 🤩 fun video
Can you do an update video now, 1 year later?
Does the bag have good drainage like the plastic containers had?
Another great video! But you should also sell those goofy sunglasses!
How can I prevent the bottom of the bag from rotting?
Recommended soil mix?

Do you need to root prune manually an avocado growing in container at some point ?
Interesting. Can avos produce a reasonable fruit in these bags?
Yes, lots of fruit
@@ScaryHairyGary awesome, might grow mine in them I think.
Great video. Thanks.
Will the roots grow outside the bag eventually?
Hair roots will but the big roots won't. Unless you make holes and plant the bag down in the dirt and then the roots will go through
Nice video. Do you wait for the top couple inches of soil to dry out first or do you keep it consistently moist?
Best to let it dry a bit.
I am just finding out about you and I live down the street!!!
Would this bag last a long time?
I want to grow avocados in huge pots too and I wish you could still get them huge containers. They are awesome.
How much Those 24” black pots
Dude how ca no I get the bag and what are the dimensions of the bag... i.e height vs width.
Where do you buy those bags from?
We have them for sale at the nursery or we can mail some out.
What nursery theres no links or names
Does the bag come any smallie?
